Update for Kreedz Climbing released

An update for Kreedz Climbing has been released. This patch will be automatically applied by Steam within 15 minutes. You may have to restart Steam for the update to immediately begin downloading.

Please note that when a patch is released, the currently running servers will be out of date and won't show up on your server browser anymore. Once they update they will appear again!
Updates:
  • Applied the latest performance and security upgrades from the recent source engine update.
  • Playing on Workshop maps will now be recorded in your Steam workshop "Played" tab!

Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where trying to load a demo that was several hours long would fail with an unexpected "bad inline model" error.
  • Fixed an issue where trying to return from spectating while inside a crouching space (like a vent) would cause you to get stuck.
  • Fixed a possible issue that might cause a map completion achievement to not be awarded. Note that completing a map with no checkpoints used doesn't award the checkpoint used version (so each map has to be done twice, once with checkpoints and once without) and achievements won't be awarded if cheats were used at any point since the game was opened (even on other maps) or if a course was completed unreasonably quickly!

Simplified Chinese translation now available!

Greetings climbers!

Thanks to the tireless and much appreciated efforts of Kud and b1nary the game now offers a Simplified Chinese language mode, available from the Property pages in Steam.

We're very grateful to Kud and b1nary for their hard work and this will definitely greatly improve the game for those who'd prefer the in-game language to be Simplified Chinese. Their hard work in this effort is a big credit to them!

We hope everyone continues having fun in the game and we thank you for playing, happy climbing!

Bug fixes
  • Fixed an issue where old maps affected by the trigger_push fix no longer work. Note if you recompile those maps at any point, you must set the trigger_push fix keyvalue in map properties to No to maintain the old behaviour!
  • Fixed an issue causing players to get stuck on teleporters when rapidly jumping on them.
  • Fixed the scoreboard causing the climbtimer to disappear if you bring it up while the timer is paused.
  • Fixed point_viewcontrol making it impossible to unpause your timer if it activates on you while paused.

Additions
  • Added achievements, a much requested feature! This is the first release of achievements, and more will be coming over time! A super big thank you to Sunscales for making the images, couldn't have done this without you!


Bug fixes:
  • Fixed an issue preventing the game from running on the Steam-Linux emulator Proton.

  • Fixed an issue with trigger_push where the player was incorrectly being pushed downwards.

  • Fixed an issue where returning to timer start while paused started a phantom timer with no course.
