Update for Kreedz Climbing Development Tools released

An update for the Kreedz Climbing Development Tools has been released:

Additions:
  • Added two new tags for the "Movement Engines" in use on the map. This lets you specify if your map has CS 1.6 movement, CS:GO movement, or both.
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed the uploader breaking func_breakable_surf entities. This should be the last of the cubemap related bugs!

A big thank you to all the mappers using the workshop, you're the best! :)

Update for Kreedz Climbing released

An update for Kreedz Climbing has been released. This patch will be automatically applied by Steam within 15 minutes. You may have to restart Steam for the update to immediately begin downloading.

Please note that when a patch is released, the currently running servers will be out of date and won't show up on your server browser anymore. Once they update they will appear again!

Update: Fixed a problem with the CS:GO Duck Hull setting and fixed kz_surf_discovery being broken and impossible to complete. Sorry about that!

Additions:
  • trigger_player_movement_attributes
    • Added the ability to choose the CS:GO duck hull height of 54 units (only if CS:GO movement mode is selected).

  • point_climbtimer
    • Climbtimers can now identify themselves as "endurance" timers, which means that a higher climb time is better than a lower time.

  • trigger_push
    • Added "Set Velocity" mode to trigger_push, where instead of applying a constant force, it sets the player's velocity instantly to the specified push on touch.

    • Added "No Gravity" flag (only for players), and if set players will no longer be under the influence of gravity while being pushed. Combined with Set Velocity mode this will create an effect similar to the funnels from Portal!
Changes:
  • The Art Tool is no longer selectable if you have it disabled (kz_cl_allow_art 0).

  • Removed the convar sv_allow_art, the Art Tool is a feature of the game and players can turn it off individually with their own settings.

  • Holding both the walk and duck keys together no longer makes you move super slowly.

  • On a ladder you can move slowly if you hold the walk key.

  • Added host_mappath convar which will always show the absolute path to the currently loaded map file. Useful for plugins!

  • [CS:GO Mode] The distance you can step up and down stairs now matches CS:GO properly.

  • Added high resolution versions of the crosshairs and the movement key indicators around the crosshair - Super big thank you to GameChaos for making them!

  • Spectating players in first person is now high resolution and their camera movements will be precise.

  • Network optimisations!
Bug fixes:
  • Fixed the setcustomposition_goto command getting you stuck in the ceiling if used in the air.

  • Fixed a rare issue where a spectator can become a visible ghost floating around.

  • Fixed hunk alloc crash on dedicated servers.

  • Fixed kz_sv_resetmap crash on kz_bhop_sandbhop.

  • Fixed kz_cl_weapon_offset_y not properly mirroring if cl_righthand is changed.
Plugins:
  • The player_stoptimer event now has a "coursename" variable so you don't need to look at the Course convars anymore.

  • The player_stoptimer and player_stoptimer2 event now says if a course has identified itself as Endurance or not.

Additions:
  • Added fixed footsteps sounds and item pickup sounds. The original HL2 sounds had high-pitched sound errors in them, but thanks to the outstanding efforts of juice who fixed the sounds, that problem is a thing of the past! Thanks juice!
Changes:
  • [CS:GO] Players can now run down stairs instead of flying off them like in 1.6 mode.

  • [CS:GO] The boost off of hitting ramps is now aligned to the ramp like it should be. 1.6 mode still has super boosts!

  • [CS:GO] You now hear your jump sound even when standing still or moving at low speed.

  • The USP no longer automatically reloads itself while it's holstered.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed the game crashing on maps with trigger_push and some filter setups. (kz_surf_summer)

  • Fixed being unable to switch back to the USP if you deplete all the ammo in the magazine and swap away from it while reloading.
Map changes:

kz_beginnerblock
  • The start and stop timer buttons no longer have a 3 second use-delay.
Plugins:
  • The player_jump event now outputs the player's velocity at the exact moment of jumping.

Additions
  • Added a new flag for trigger_jumpcontrol: Double Duck Only. Has the same effect as No Jumping, but is only active in Counter-Strike 1.6 Movement, not CS:GO.

Mappers commonly use "No Jump" trigger_jumpcontrols to designate doubleduck-only areas in their map. Since CS:GO Movement doesn't have a doubleduck, no jumping areas that require the doubleduck will render the map impossible to complete. This new flag lets mappers specify this is a doubleduck section, and if the map is being played in CS:GO mode the restriction will be ignored, allowing players to continue jumping as normal.

  • Added an option to set the viewmodel to sway in the direction of view turning, as opposed to the default lagging behind behaviour. Only affects Source Sway mode. kz_cl_weapon_sway_directionofturn, also in the advanced options.

  • Added kz_cl_weapon_offset_x, kz_cl_weapon_offset_y, kz_cl_weapon_offset_z commands which let you offset the position of the viewmodel (the current weapon) on your screen.

Changes
  • It's now possible again to bunnyhop up slopes (the removal of this was actually an unintended mistake, sorry about that!).

  • cl_wpn_sway_scale is no longer a cheat command.
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Source Sway mode making the viewmodel jitter when playing on multiplayer servers.

  • Fixed the chat window being impossible to close if you don't have the chat input box at the bottom selected (this could happen if you select the chat history part or the filters instead).

Update for Kreedz Climbing released

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed trigger_push not working properly if it has a filter attached which isn't filter_multiplayer_kzmod.

  • Fixed trigger_jumpcontrol not working if a filter is attached.

  • Ladders:

    • Fixed ladder collision detection not working properly if something is blocking the top of the ladder (like a playerclip) - for real this time!

    • Fixed not being able to attach to a ladder if you're falling and against the ladder surface.

    • Fixed falling off a ladder if you crouch on it under certain circumstances.

    • Fixed the toolsinvisibleladder texture not working unless every face of a brush was textured with it. Now it works on single faces like the other Kreedz Climbing ladder textures.

    • Added toolsinvisibleladder_detail texture, which functions as a ladder but is automatically func_detail so you don't need to manually detail the brush yourself. Note this makes any brush it's a face of into func_detail, which will cause leaks if used on a brush that seals the map!
