LCSoft Plans for 2025:

When Brigand hits 500 reviews, I will make a final BATTLES map that is completely original and includes the Meatiator Minigun. 74 more reviews to go. Here are my plans for 2025:

Version 16.3


New minigun called the Meatiator, which modders can spawn with the command "make=minigun". It's also been placed in the PANAMA DLC, but it's broken and empty, ammo hidden separately.

Added a couple new commands to animate player's equipment and set a wind-up property for weapons. The Meatiator takes about 1 second to wind up. Also fixed a couple rare bugs and fixed the Gun Smith ability, which was somehow completely broken.

-Allowed player's equipment item to be animated with "playObject" and "loopObject" commands.
-New script command: "windUp" (sets obtainable object wind-up time before use).
-New script command: "setObjectFrame" (sets current animation frame of object).
-Possibly fixed rare bug that turned objects passable (resetting thrown flag).
-Fixed new player weapons remaining transparent on leaving World Editor.
-Corrected Accuracy and Scatter variables in F1 World Editor menus.

-(PANAMA) Added broken/empty minigun to PANAMA story, and hid uranium ammo in separate location.

Version 16.2

Added some dialogue and readable text to PANAMA that fills in some plot holes (connected Dr. Lee to Mabel). Tweaked the first PANAMA battle at Isla Darien so that Ballistic has a better chance of surviving (he has a lot of dialogue that goes to waste otherwise).

Also fixed AI switching items in the code. Ballistic would use a medkit and then switch to the machete by default. Now AI equips ranged weapons first, then looks for melee.

New blood textures for NIGHTMARE thanks to 5nakey.

Demons in NIGHTMARE now use the original textures again, and the special NIGHTMARE textures are now used for harder varieties, like the Elder Isopod Demon and the Mocker Demon (larger versions of Hecklers that now spawn in NIGHTMARE).

Tripwires can now be disarmed with 10 Hardware skill. Had to update the story files for this one. Also fixed a ton of little bugs, including one with the Poisoned War Axe script.

Version 16.1

Maps now load 5 times faster. Ricardo's Plantation loads in under 10 seconds. I apologize for wasting so much of people's time up till now on the map loading screen. Hopefully you spent those long load times memorizing vocab in a foreign language or rubbing one out.

There is now also an option to use the native resolution of your OS. If the resolution is not one of the defaults on the list, the scope and mask overlays are changed to sprites and stretched out over the screen, unfortunately obscuring the HUD. I'll have to do something about that in next patch.

Still another patch coming, hopefully by Saturday or Sunday. No spoilers.

Version 16.0

Fixed the broken Chinese dice minigame by removing the option to cancel Wild #1s and improving AI decision-making. You can still cancel wilds if you call #1 dice on your first turn, and the game will inform you of this. I just refreshed myself on the rules. Apparently it's called Liar's Dice, not Chinese dice. Everybody in China knows how to play it, though. Should I change the minigame name in the next patch?

Possibly also fixed ultra widescreen colored damage flashes (2560x1440). I don't have the hardware to test it, so please tell me if the red damage flashes cover the entire screen.

Also, the character info screen now allows you to examine items, change party orders, and view the overall level of every character, not just the main player. The main player's level is also affected by money and skill points (but not other characters). This new level feature is only for modders who want to allow players to import their characters from other stories and check if they are overpowered, like lots of NWN1 mods.





Working on a couple more things and there should be another patch later this week. Remember to leave a review if you haven't already. I will stop begging for them when I hit 500. Good night people, and remember, everything is computer.
