- Update 1.1 -

Changes:
- GUI changes
- train collisions
- fixed: trains shouldn't leave the depot randomly anymore and crash into other trains
- support for biomes. I've implemented a desert biome to the standard theme.
- the ai will react to sabotage and other actions from the player
- a new manager for vehicle maintenance
- vehicles will need to be maintained
- ships will choose a more random path now (that should decrease the stacking)
- filter options
- managers will check the vehicles more frequently
- fixed: vehicles in the depot will now start their schedule correctly when changing the schedule order
- You will be able to hire staff for your vehicles. The staff can give passive improvements such as reduces breakdown times. (you need to start a new game)

- a new signal that checks the next three train track parts
- several bug fixes related to signals
- industries will now automatically increase or decrease their production capacity by building additional buildings
- fixed: a bug related to the deletion of the signal type 2

- hold the left shift key to level the terrain while building streets and tracks
- hold the left shift key to add streets and tracks at the ends of bridges and tunnels while building them
- The company headquarter represents the player rank now.
- You won't pay double anymore if you build over existing infrastructure.
- fixed: planes shouldn't return to the airport they are depart


Please note:
Trains will no longer choose a new route if the train is in a tunnel or on a bridge. There was a problem with reserved track sections which were no longer released when a train was on a bridge or in a tunnel.

I've uploaded the latest version onto the testing branch for testing.

How to get the testing branch update?
Select Transports in your Steam library and open the settings window. You'll see a Beta Tab where you can choose the "testing" entry.

New: Industry upgrades
The industries will grow over time and increase their production capacity if the goods are well transported away at the connected stations.

New: Staff
You can hire staff for your vehicles now.


You can replace the staff with applicants that can give your vehicle an advantage.


Fixed: Several bugs related to trains and signals
Train track parts should now be reserved for the trains correctly when crossing a signal. Trains shouldn't block signals anymore without being on the corresponding rails.

New:
- Hold the left shift key to level the terrain while building streets and tracks.
- Hold the left shift key to add streets and tracks at the ends of bridges and tunnels while building them.
- The company headquarter represents the player rank now.
- You won't pay double anymore if you build over existing infrastructure.
- I've added a new signal that checks to next three train track parts on the path of a train.
- Trains can choose alternative paths now and try to avoid other trains.
- Several GUI improvements.

Development Update for 1.1


I've uploaded the latest version onto the testing branch for testing.

How to get the testing branch update?
Select Transports in your Steam library and open the settings window. You'll see a Beta Tab where you can choose the "testing" entry.

New: Maintenance and reliability
Vehicles will age and lose reliability now. You need to send them to the depot to reset their condition. There is also a new manager for this.

New: Train collisions
Trains will collide now.
The faster train, or the train that gets checked first if they are at the same speed, will destroy the slower train. Depending on the train condition the faster train will also be destroyed.

New: Biomes
The game now supports biomes. For testing the new functionality I've added a desert biome to the standard theme.


New: Opponent reactions
Opponents will now react to the player. This is limited to sabotage at the moment but will be extended with the next updates.

Transports • Patchnotes (1.09) ➥

Changes:
- trains will choose a new platform when they waited for too long at a signal
- fixed: the station capacity was not recalculated after a bunch of goods expired or got deleted from the station
- fixed: money that the player will earn throught the transportation of goods that are about to expire will be calculated correcty now. That will lead to unprofitable transportation routes. Make sure to build routes with vehicles that are able to deliver goods in time. For long routes it will be necessary to build freight stations were the goods will be stored and their expiry timer will be reset. There is a station upgrade available for that.

- fixed: a bug where train objects couldn't be removed
- fixed: vehicles will now no longer choose the wrong schedule entry
- trams can't switch rails on one tile anymore. You have to update your tram networks.

- increased camera distance
- fixed: the loading time of vehicles will be calculated correctly now
- the steam avatar will now be used ingame
- the minimap will now show the current camera location on opening
- small objects will now be invisible when zooming out
- vehicles will now start with a short delay from the depot

Changes:
- the app requires a bit less memory (20-70MB)
- disk space requirement of save games reduced by 16%
- map creation should now be much faster
- shortening the loading times on map creation for large maps
- political system (players can become the Minister of Finance, Minister of Construction or Minister of Security)
- taxes
- new ai (the ai can now use mostly all transportation types)
- borderless fullscreen option
- new terrain option: flat
- the catchment area while placing airports will now be displayed
- I've added a option for cities with mayor to grow automatically
- camera position will now be saved
- the camera can't be moved while in videomode

- you can open the city and station window by clicking on the caption on the map now

Please note:
I've changed the placement system for airports. You may see offsets in old savegames.
Computer players in old savegames will be deactivated.
The game will start in the new borderless window mode. You may need to adjust your game settings.
