Update 0.8.1.x hotfixes

Hello Commanders!

You might have noticed we released 2 quick hotfixes in a row today. We're merging these posts into one to keep things a bit more tidy! Below you can read which bugs were addressed:
Hotfix 0.8.1.5:
Fixed an issue where small units would move directly through core buildings.
Hotfix 0.8.1.4:
Fixed an issue where the skip button would not be visible after hiding and then showing the Reinforcement Panel.

Update 0.8.1.3

This update will be carried out at 8:00 am on May 31, 2024, UTC time. At that time, the server will undergo update maintenance for about 60 minutes.
Balance Adjustments

Melting Point
• HP decreased from 41102 to 39869 (3% decrease).
  • The cost of [Energy Absorption] decreased from 250 to 200.
Vulcan
• HP increased from 36909 to 38385 (4% increase).
Note: Vulcan's win rate is still significantly lower than other units. This change aims to increase Vulcan's HP to the level of Melting Point.
Stormcaller
• Removed variant [Improved Stormcaller]
  • Added variant [Assault Stormcaller]: Increases Stormcaller's HP by 250% and movement speed by 5 but decreases range by 40.
Note: The effect of decreasing range and increasing HP is more suitable to be named [Assault Stormcaller]
Hacker
• In 1v1 and 2v2 matches, Hacker will no longer appear in Unit Drops.
Note: Many players hate Hacker, but Hacker plays an important role in countering certain tactics, so completely removing Hacker is not feasible. This change will significantly reduce the appearance of Hacker in 1v1 and 2v2 matches, while still retaining Hacker's role of countering certain tactics.
Bug fixes
• Fixed an issue where predictions could not be settled properly in a 4-player Brawl.
  • Fixed an issue where anti-cheat servers were not validating Community Challenge scores correctly.

Upcoming update 0.8.2 and other news

Greetings Commanders!

We’d like to give you a briefing on all the upcoming changes in Update 0.8.2. Firstly, this update will take a little longer than usual to get into your hands. We want to focus heavily on improving the core experience of the new 4 Player Brawl mode and also add some new cool stuff for you to enjoy. All that requires a little bit of work, so we’re currently aiming to release the update on June 27th.
Update 0.8.2 content:
Here's what you can expect in the 0.8.2 update

Performance optimization:
As mentioned before, we’ll keep working on performance improvements for Mechabellum in the foreseeable future, with our main focus being the 4 Player Brawl mode. The 0.8.2 update will come with numerous tweaks that should improve your framerate.

Lobby improvements:
The Lobby will receive a comprehensive UI overhaul

Better bug reporting system:
The new bug reporting system will be better at reporting bugs to our development team. And the more issues we’re aware of, the better game we can make.

New map:
A new 4 Player Brawl map. The layout will be the same, but the visuals are brand new.

4 Player Brawl improvements:
Various tweaks and improvements to the 4 Player Brawl mode, focusing on balance and overall player experience.

New Unit - Sandworm:
A new unit is on its way to Mechabellum! The Sandworm will be released with the 0.8.2 update. We wanted to give you something exciting to look forward to, so have a look at the below video of the unit in-game. Just remember we’re still working on it, and some details and animations will likely change by June 27th!
Mechabellum is at Dreamhack Dallas:
Paradox Arc and Mechabellum will be attending Dreamhack Dallas! We’ll have a LAN Tournament, a Showmatch with various creators and a Freeplay Area where you can join us to play some Mechabellum together with our crew and other fans!

At the event you can play any Mechabellum mode you want, but we want to give some spotlight to the new 4 Player Brawl and the 2v2 modes. Because of that we asked one of our community members, Pastor Druski, to prepare short tutorial videos for new players who will discover Mechabellum at the event. He deserves a shoutout for helping us on a short notice, so feel free to check them out (and other Mechabellum videos) on his channel!
1.0 release plan changes:
We have one final thing to share today. Unlike our previous intentions, we can now confirm that Mechabellum will not go free-to-play with its full 1.0 release. Instead we plan to remain a premium game and keep the current price.

In spite of this change, all our Early Access players will still receive the promised exclusive in-game content. Other information about Mechabellum 1.0, including our full roadmap and release date, will come at a later date. We hope you look forward to that!
