v1.1.1 Patch

  • Fixed a bug where the Cinematic entity was not displayed while it was running.
  • Some commands in command menu now ask for player confirmation and warn that the action is irreversible.
  • Added "s ent" and "l ent" aliases for the "save entities" and "load entities" commands respectively.
  • Added "verbose" console command that allows to enable/disable verbose error mode for maps started from Tiled.

New Year's Eve update v1.1.0

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for being with us all these years!

After the last patch we carefully fixed all the bugs reported by players, but after that we started adding new things and the patch note started to grow. It was very hard to say that this was just another bugs fixing patch.

The most important additions are these three:

[h3]External resources[/h3]
We rewrote the external resource loader from scratch. This allowed us not only to fix a bunch of bugs related to data caching, but also to add more features to entities for map makers.

[h3]Save file restoration[/h3]
Now the game will try to automatically restore your save files after updating to the new version of the game. We wrote entirely new save file loader which will keep your files safe from corruptions.

[h3]Level changers[/h3]
The most important addition of this update is Changelevel entity and all required instruments related to it. This will allow map makers to create an entire compaign. And we would like to see what you will do with such new addition!

This list is not complete, the rest miscellaneous changes are as follows:
  • Fixed game crash after importing custom glare sprite for "Light" entity.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a "Door" entity without a sprite to not render in developer mode.
  • Fixed memory leak related to "Switch" entity mask.
  • Fixed memory leak related to "Dialogue" entity external sounds.
  • Fixed "Cinematic" entity didn't update its sound volume.
  • Fixed player could go panic in organ room while being a maniac.
  • Fixed game crash because missing audio emitters in gibs.
  • Fixed inability to get "Did you call a pipe fitter?" achievement.
  • Fixed missing copper key zone on the graveyard level map.
  • Fixed Ukrainian, English and Spanish localizations.
  • Fixed resetting the selected slot in the save menu after a level change.
  • Fixed monsters and items could activate their targets after being packed to prefaber.
  • Fixed a lot of bugs related to solid entities and some interactable objects.
  • Fixed wrong offsets and order of layers creation on cutommap building.
  • Fixed possible softlock on steam machine level and also added new interaction.
  • Fixed heart animation speed in Personal Hell.
  • Fixed a bug that made it impossible to pick up a some items in pandemonium and on graveyard.
  • Fixed a bug that caused items created in walls to not b e pushed out of them.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Interact entity to be unable to activate itself.
  • Fixed broken monster's health programmation.
  • Fixed game crash when trying to read a non-existent text file.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Phantoms to count in level kills goal.
  • Fixed broken layers offset on custommaps.
  • Fixed softlock on graveyard level.
  • Fixed and improved Nightmare boss battle on industrial level.
  • Fixed incorrect counting of the total number of game goals after restarting a level.
  • Fixed incorrect counting of the number of level goals after finishing custom map.
  • Fixed the appearance of health bars on snowmen corpses.
  • Fixed and improved the work of the "e_sequence_dur" parameter in the "Sequencer" entity
  • Fixed a bug where the Sequencer entity couldn't move attacking Nightmares and Nightmarishes.
  • Changed the gaze direction and behavior of some monsters on steam machine level.
  • Changed placement of some items on levels.
  • Improved the system that starts the Christmas event on the level.
  • Improved Intro and Final B levels optimization.
  • Improved game loading functionality to avoid level restart because "outdated save file".
  • Improved "level save" command.
  • Improved using button in developer mode.
  • Improved pushing objects stuck in walls into the game area.
  • Minor visual fixes and improvements.
  • Save file preview now correctly displays long custom maps names.
  • Player now can't start panicking in cathedral.
  • Presing now destroys the projectile same as preing button.
  • Plasma projectiles now can be deleted by pressing button or .
  • Cain is now the default arcade mode character.
  • Custom asset importer for all entities has been re-worked from the ground.
  • All D'LIRIUM characters for arcade mode are now included in the game.
  • QOL for custommaps - scripting with console commands, redefining of custommap resource folder and changelevels.
  • Added the ability to define the resource folder for entities.
  • Added the ability to change the size and offset of the lock on a key-locked door.
  • Added the ability for map makers to change the size of projectiles.
  • Added ability to change custom level (added changelevels).
  • Added "Storage", "Console" and "Changelevel" entities.
  • Added console command "party".
  • Added "!Invisible" preset for obj_Player's "e_sprite" parameter.
  • Added new easter egg in cave.
  • Added complex console command "inject".
  • Added protection against characters getting stuck during scripted sequences in story mode.
