ACEO Discord AMA #5: The Terminal Update

Airport CEO Alpha 35.5-3 released

Good day airport CEO!

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who's been reporting, and continued to report, bugs and issues in the wake of the Alpha 35 release and we'd like to pay it forward by releasing another small stabilization patch solving some of the most critical or common issues you're currently experiencing.

  • [ACEO-28127] - Missing null reference check in vehicle system can cause certain vehicles to stall on rare occasions
  • [ACEO-28129] - Passengers that are unable to execute any need based activity can get stuck at point of area entry and not proceed to gate area
  • [ACEO-28139] - Bug report description text area does not accept enter key for new lines
  • [ACEO-28386] - R&D project research does not unlock tarmac runway entrance/exit correctly
  • [ACEO-28422] - Delivery site cannot be built on service road
  • [ACEO-28425] - Various objects can over time degrade and disappear after save and reload
  • [ACEO-28471] - Disable arrival only airside shuttle bus stop from being connected to stand if stand does not have a connection to a departure airside shuttle bus stop
  • [ACEO-28516] - Swiftly and Stripe Air share the same IATA code


We will continue to juggle Alpha 35 stabilization with Alpha 36 development for the time being so do expect more updates as bugs get reported! Thank you all once more for that.

Airport CEO Alpha 35.5-1 released

Good evening airport CEO!

We're back with yet another important Alpha 35 stabilization update. This small update has a series of important fix it but perhaps most notably it resolves two widely reported issues concerting random deletion of items across the airport after extensive deconstruction as well as an issue concerning stalled passengers and employees after reloading a save.

  • [ACEO-28099] - Specific game loading sequence from menu can cause all multiple systems to not reload and airport to deadlock
  • [ACEO-28119] - Template with items created in a different save carry across to other saves where those items are not yet researched
  • [ACEO-28121] - Tooltip layout for R&D "proactive maintenance" broken
  • [ACEO-28123] - Missing null reference check in terminal number fetching for stands can break terminal overlay
  • [ACEO-28204] - Missing initialization call can cause R&D panel to not load

We are now slowly putting more development time into Alpha 36 but will of course keep a close eye on backlog and issues reported on Alpha 35 so do expect more stabilization updates however, starting this coming week, at a slightly lowered pace.

Airport CEO Alpha 35.4-1 released

Good afternoon airport CEO!

Thank you for all of the qualitative feedback we're getting on this Monday's Alpha 35 and The Terminal Update deployment. Here's a first, of a few to come, minor stabilization patch with various fixes ranging from passenger and employee behavior improvement to contractor stalling fix.

  • [ACEO-27804] - Missing localization key for Nordic airline business description
  • [ACEO-27817] - Uncaught null reference exception in contractor path-finding can cause contractors to stall
  • [ACEO-27822] - Tutorial showing bankrupt CLM airline
  • [ACEO-27824] - Construction material delivery not always reliable when moving delivery offload site after construction process initiated
  • [ACEO-27825] - Poor flight cancellation checks can cause check-in desks and baggage drops not be able to deactivate
  • [ACEO-27829] - Removing escalators does not always separate secure zone areas
  • [ACEO-27831] - Scroll window missing in R&D panel rendering some projects unclickable
  • [ACEO-27841] - New applications can't generate if five or more fired employees of applicant's employee type hasn't left the airport yet
  • [ACEO-27847] - Small check-in desk does not instruct on not being able to handle baggage
  • [ACEO-27850] - Incorrect desk type fetching can cause passengers to stall when moving to gate
  • [ACEO-27857] - When multiple ramp agents work by a single baggage bay duplicate baggage pick-up can cause ramp agents to deadlock in baggage bay offload behavior
