Free update - Survival Mode

Hi folks,

Crazy, it's been a year since we released MarZ. A good occasion to let you hear from us again and to say THANK YOU!

MarZ Anniversary

How time flies. Our game has been available on Steam for over one year now. As you can imagine, the 4th of April 2019 was a super exciting day for us. We had worked towards this moment for over four years and really hoped if it would pay off. Today we can say we were rewarded.
The game did pretty well, especially for a small indie studio without any publisher. (Some of you might know that we run a two person family business, working as husband and wife team, - we should probably say two and a half as our little daughter was born this year.)
Since the release MarZ was featured several times on Steam and it was in the top 20 best selling games on Steam April 2019. This was of course achieved thanks to all of you who have supported us. You can’t imagine how nice it is to see that you people are enjoying the game we made. Thank you so much. We are really overjoyed to have you players on board.
If you want to make us even happier tell your friends. We are sure there are many others out there who don’t know MarZ and would love to play it.

We may have been a little quieter lately, but of course we weren't idle. As a big THANK YOU and to celebrate it's one year anniversary we've created this new and free update which introduces the survival mode.

Survival Mode

The survival mode is a new mode which is available in the skirmish game menu.
This new game mode let you fight against endless waves of enemies. The best thing about it, it also supports Steam leaderboards. So you can compare your high-scores globally or against your friends. Moreover leaderboards also works with custom workshop maps.
Beside of the new game mode we also did some bugfixes and performance optimizations.

Again, in this way we want to thank everyone who plays our game and supports our small two (and a half) person indie studio. Thank you so much!
Have fun with the new survival mode. Stay safe and enjoy!

Win MarZ & X-Morph game bundle

Hello Community!

We've been at this years gamescom presenting MarZ at the amazing Indie Arena Booth. Thanks to those great guys we've had the opportunity to showcase our game on a very cool arcade booth.

During gamescom we met a lot of cool people who played the game and chatted with us at the booth. Four guys were even so amazed by MarZ they said it definitely was their personal highlight of the event - wow!

It was also very great to meet all the other devs presenting their own games. One of them was Exor Studios who presented their game The Riftbreaker, which is currently in development and looks very promising. We love the fact that Exor Studios also create tower defense / base defense games with a twist.

Their latest game X-Morph Defense is a unique fusion of a top-down shooter and tower defense game. As the X-Morph fighter you can engage enemy units directly with a diverse arsenal of weapons. There are four distinct forms which specialize in dealing with different kinds of threats. Each form has a basic attack and a special charged attack mode. Your goal is to defend the X-Morph harvesters from waves of incoming human forces. One of the game's key features is the ability to build towers virtually anywhere on the map and to shape enemy paths by connecting towers with laser fences.

Oh and did we mention it has lots of explosions, huge enemies and destructible buildings? If you like action-packed tower defense games you should really check it out here:
(There's also a free demo available)

New Update - Overlapping energy hubs and no disappearing corpses!

We’re happy to announce a new MarZ update which adds two new features you guys have asked for. Introducing: Overlapping energy hubs and no disappearing corpses! \o/

Overlapping energy hubs

When enabled you can place energy hubs overlapped, which lets you build more dense defense fronts. It also helps in terms of that you won’t need to place them accurately anymore. We’re pretty sure for some of you this is a game changer!

No disappearing corpses

This is a bit of an experimental/fun option but we simply had to add it. It can get pretty messy on some maps! ;)

Both features can be activated in the options menu under gameplay options.

We hope you guys will like the new update.
Thank you for your support and enjoy MarZ!
