MEWGENICS RELEASE DATE TRAILER!

[h3]Here it is! the Mewgenics release date trailer by Meat Canyon![/h3][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Did you watch it? Because I'm not posting the release date here! You gotta fucking watch the trailer![/p][p]HUGE thanks to Hunter, Nik, basementperson, and the rest of the team who did a really killer job on it![/p][p]....[/p][p]You watched it, right? You didn’t just skip down to see the date? Because I just said I'm not posting it outside of the trailer itself, so just watch it and stop looking here for it![/p][p][/p][p]Ok now the dev blog![/p][p][/p][p]What is left dev-wise? Well let me update you![/p][p][/p]
  • [p]The final boss is drawn and half animated—he/she/it will hopefully be implemented by the end of the month![/p]
  • [p]We’ve started adding hard path rewards and random gen items for said rewards (this is very cool stuff!).[/p]
  • [p]Lots of new cutscenes were added! We have 4 large cutscenes and 6 small cutscenes to go![/p]
  • [p]We went ahead and had Ridiculon add 3 more tracks to the game for some extra late-game spice![/p]
  • [p]Next week we start to implement alt/shiny furniture! (This is also very cool!)[/p]
  • [p]Big secret late-game system has been fully implemented![/p][p][/p]
[p]The question on your mind is probably...[/p][p]“Well if all this stuff is getting done so fast, what is taking all this extra time for release!?!”[/p][p][/p][p]Calm down! Let me explain! This is what we’ll be working on for the next 4 months:[/p]
  • [p]Making sure all text is 100% finished and NPC stories/dialogue is completed so we can send it to our localizers and launch in more than a few languages.[/p]
  • [p]Heavily testing the game so not only is the game’s difficulty smoother, but also to polish and add any missing effects/visuals/sfx... because there are A LOT of moving parts to this and we want our attention to detail to show.[/p]
  • [p]Finishing the remaining Mutations and Items—there are still 100+ left of each to add in.[/p]
  • [p]Fluffing up the events. Now that we know what this game is, we can start implementing custom events that not only complement the story but also utilize mechanics we’ve added recently.[/p]
  • [p]General polish—tons of little extras that not only make the experience cooler but also smooth out any UI or mechanical issues our testers have run into.[/p]
  • [p]More Cutscenes![/p]
[p][/p][p]“But then why not just launch in Nov?!?!”[/p][p][/p][p]Dude, listen. Launching in Nov–Dec is hard. We want this game to get the attention it deserves and don’t want to compete with holidays and holiday AAA releases. And honestly, adding a few more months to dev means launching with an even more heavily tested and polished experience![/p][p][/p][p]So bear with us! We know you wanna play, we want you to play! And starting at some point in Jan we’ll start doing live streams, or something? I dunno the details yet but I'm sure it’ll happen soon! Also more hands-on previews are in the works! And maybe even more trailers?!
