  • A mysterious fleet of caravans have appeared around the arena


[h2]Loading[/h2]
  • Fixed infinite "Loading PJ" (bright blue character that sometimes would not go away)
  • Fixed some issues that could cause invisible characters or guns
  • Fixed issue where players joining a lobby at the same time could end up with missing name tags or t-posed characters


[h2]Guns[/h2]
  • Magnum: Lowered rounds per second 5 -> 3
  • P90: Lowered damage from 13 -> 12
  • Collision: Fixed shot blocking bug when intersecting a gun with the environment while holding the trigger


[h2]General[/h2]
  • Buffs: Fixed issue where grabbing health/shield items with offhand could prevent them from being consumed immediately
  • Grenades: Fixed issue where grabbing grenades with offhand could prevent them from being thrown immediately
  • Zone Grenade: Fixed issue where looking away from the grenade's position turned the outer sphere invisible
  • Climbing: Fixed issue where grabbing an item right when dying prevented the player from climbing with that hand
  • Quest: Fixed issue where placing waypoint/ping markers was very difficult for long distances and while in the launch pod
  • Main Menu: Fixed flash to skybox when loading in the main menu

  • PC VR: Cannot snap turn or smooth turn while in pods
  • PC VR: AWP scope lags when 1st scoping in (has been greatly improved, still actively investigating a full fix)
  • Steam VR users playing on an Oculus headset: When Purchasing Bureau Gold, you will need to take off your headset to approve the purchase
  • If you see a notice that you need to "update to play" but don't see it in the store, uninstall and reinstall POP: ONE to force the upgrade to happen. You won't lose any progress or data

Several important fixes this week.

General
  • Loading: Reverted loading changes (caused invisible characters & guns) ~ this will come back in the future!
  • Locomotion: Fixed playspace bug causing players to travel upwards (flying glitch)
  • Team Deathmatch: Fixed issue where the score would reset when a player leaves the match
  • Team Deathmatch: Match start countdown is now more aggressive to minimize wait times
  • Healing Items: Possible fix for rare case causing healing items to not be consumed

New LIMITED TIME Deathmatch Game Mode!

Available in Public Lobbies: 6/3 - 6/14 @ 12pm Pacific
Available in Custom Rooms: 6/14 @ 12pm Pacific
  • 2 Teams of 6
  • 30 kills to win, 15 minutes max
  • Players respawn automatically to get back in the action quickly
  • Takes place in 1 of 3 randomly selected locations of the main POP: ONE map (The Frontier, The Tower, or Farms)
  • To start: On the Play Tab, press "Change Mode", then Select "Team Deathmatch"


Custom Rooms
  • Star icon shows next to the room admin's name on the minimap player list
  • Randomize team button added to Room Settings
  • Team changing dropdown shows number of players on each team for easier team management
  • Fixed issue where Room Settings UI could display behind the environment and other players


Loading
  • App Launch: Time to get to the main menu is now much faster when launching POP: ONE
  • Install: Greatly reduced install time & app size
  • A "Loading PJ" will be shown while character skins load in
  • The default gun skin will show as gun skins load in


General
  • PC VR: Fixed issue where flicking the Matadors was more difficult than intended
  • Firearms: Possible fixes for rare issue causing guns to get stuck (still investigating)
  • Friends List: Fixed issue where friend would not be removed immediately when deleting a friend

May 20, 2021 Change List
Fixed some of the most egregious issues for Season 2 & some other assorted updates.

Friends List
  • Performance: Fixed lag issues & hitching for a long friends list
  • Friends Sorting: Toggle button above friends list to sort by Status OR by Social Currency
  • Social Currency Sort: In this mode, friends list is ordered by who hasn't been sent Seeker Silver & if there is incoming Seeker Silver


Custom Rooms Updates & Fixes
  • Private Rooms have been renamed to Custom Rooms!
  • Fixed issue where challenges would show in Custom Rooms
  • Fixed issue where timer would reset when players join a Custom Room
  • Possible fixes for when the Custom Room would "randomly" break (falling under the floor or match ending soft lock)


Gameplay Balance & Fixes
  • Knife: Always deal max damage (35), regardless of swing distance
  • Matadors: Fixed teleport glitch
  • Buffs: Fixed issue where grabbing a healing item could be in the wrong state (grabbing a banana might show as fully peeled but unable to eat)
  • 2-Handing: Fixed issue where hand no longer detached from a gun when moving hands far apart


Audio Fixes
  • Reduced volume of enemy Matadors
  • Play background loading music after Season 2 theme plays and when loading into a server
  • Fixed shield break sound playing on shield regen


General
  • Environment: Fixed edge case causing the world to disappear
  • Aurora: Fixed invisibility when being viewed at a distance
  • Virtual Keyboard: Fixed issue where keyboard gets cut off

May 13, 2021 Season 2 Update

[h2]New Items[/h2]

Matadors
  • Dual wielded shotguns
  • 8 shots in each gun
  • Every shot fires 4 pellets that each deal 3 damage (for base level)
  • Damage per pellet increases each rarity level
  • Reload with a flicking hand gesture


Harmonica
  • Music emitting device that restores teammate’s shield
  • Does not regenerate shield for the person playing the harmonica
  • Can regenerate up to 8 shield per second at full power
  • When starting to play music, the regeneration begins at 2 shield per second
  • Regeneration increases over 12 seconds until it reaches full power
  • If shot while playing, the power level is reset


Shield Shaker
  • Shield regenerating drink (additional to the Shield Soda)
  • Shake to charge up the drink for 5 seconds and the top will pop up when complete
  • Regenerates 50 shield immediately when drank
  • Stacks 3 per slot in inventory


[h2]Gameplay Changes[/h2]
General
  • Player Count: Player count for all modes increased from 18 -> 24
  • Player Count: Squads mode is now 8 squads of 3
  • Battle Zone: Hold times between zone movement doubled
  • Battle Zone: Zone move speed decreased from 3.5 -> 2.5 m/s
  • Battle Zone: Zone size is now on average 25% smaller per zone
  • Ghost: Move speed increased from 50% -> 75% when downed


Gun Balance
ARs:
  • AKM damage increased 16 -> 17
  • M60: Rounds per second lowered 9 -> 8
  • M60: Body damage lowered 22 -> 20
  • M60: Full Damage Range lowered from 125m -> 100m (after this distance, damage starts decreasing)
  • M60: Ramp up shots increased from 8 -> 10 (takes 10 shots before firing at full speed)
  • M60: Much more wild when 1-handing


SMGs:
  • P90: Damage increased 12 -> 13


Shotguns:
  • DT11: Damage per pellet decreased 8 -> 7 (potential damage per shot lowered 72 -> 63)


Item Balance
  • Katana: Vaulted (still available in Private Rooms)
  • Health & Shield Sodas: Points to heal/regenerate lowered from 50 -> 20
  • Health & Shield Sodas: Time to heal lowered to 10 seconds (2 per second).
  • Health & Shield Sodas: Stack size increased from 3 -> 6.
  • Small Battery: Regen amount increased from 5 -> 10
  • Medium Battery: Regen amount increased from 10 -> 20
  • Loot: Very minor tweaks to item spawn chances & rarity chances


[h2]Private Rooms Beta[/h2]
Room Browser
  • New Private Room Browser for viewing Open Private Rooms to join
  • Rooms set to “Open” will show in the Room Browser list
  • Allows players to easily discover other rooms


New Customization
Voice Options:
  • Options for team, proximity, team proximity, or open voice channels.


Match Settings:
  • Weapons/Items: Choose which items are/aren’t available during a match

Team Settings:
  • Squad size (Solos, Duos, Squads, etc...)
  • Friendly fire (on / off)


Zone Settings:
  • Zone damage rate multiplier
  • Zone delay multiplier
  • Zone move speed multiplier
  • Option to spawn launch towers on opposite sides of the zone


Advanced:
  • Option for Shield Regeneration which increases shield automatically over time
  • Damage multiplier
  • Revive (on / off)
  • Health/Armor amount players spawn with after revive
  • Revive respawn item
  • Ghost move speed


New Room Settings
  • Ability to transfer private room leader
  • Option to hide room code
  • Set the room name which is displayed in the Room Browser

New Region - The Frontier
  • “The Frontier" has overtaken Cliffside — the Wild West has arrived to Pop1
  • The Frontier marks a new town with a Saloon, Bureau Train Station, an open desert range, and much more!
  • New exploding and lootable barrels have been added to this new region


[h2]Season 2 Limited Content[/h2]
Battle Pass
  • 50 tiers total of new unlockable rewards (13 free rewards)
  • Get access to all Battle Pass tiers for 330 Bureau Gold
  • Re-designed point award system: daily dailies, stacked weeklies, & legendary challenges

Audio
  • New intro music and loading music
  • New themed environment audio for the Frontier


Particles
  • All particle effects for the drop pods improved
  • Red loot pod smoke improved
  • Improved door and window break effects
  • New build tile create/destroy effects
  • Player hit effects (blood/shield) improved


Matchmaker
  • Countdown will shorten the wait time as more players fill a server
  • Prevents waiting on 23 players for an extended period of time
  • Biases towards starting the match instead of waiting several minutes for a final player


Social Content
  • Clicking on a friend in the Social Panel will display their calling card


Thursday Double Day
  • Season 2 will have double XP every Thursday, all season
  • Starts at 11:59 pm Pacific and runs until 4 am Pacific the next day
