Dev News #175

Hello, Feudalists!
Our battle continues as we are constantly working on bugfixes and various game mechanics improvements. The next update with those tweaks and fixes is around the corner. Stay tuned.
Now, looks like you’ve been busy as well! We received reports about an enormous siege on the Merovingers guild. A several months long event that resulted in a battle with about three hundred people working towards their goal. May the spoils go to the victors and best of luck next time to those who lost this one. We hope to hear more of your amazing achievements on the lands of Abella!
We, ourselves, have been making an effort to entertain you a bit with one of our events. The Witch’s Dungeon event that we ran last week have gathered interest of many brave warriors who fought and bled in the dark cave underneath the Abella forests. It took nearly twelve hours for the champions to reach the main chambers where the devilish trophies were located. Three trophies in total brough three champions who received premium rewards for their efforts. Those heroes were: Nordea Maersk from The Terrowin Order guild, LittleArc Jager and Pelagios de Pelagiad from Made in Brazil guild. We want to thank everyone who participated in the event.

Oh, and if you are interested in how big that underground maze we created actually was, here’s a screenshot of its layout:

The maze has already collapsed, but don’t worry. There will certainly be more events to come, so keep an eye out on the mmo_event_feed channel on our discord.

And now it’s time for a community spot!
We’ve been receiving more of your amazing creations from very special places and moments which we absolutely must share with the world.

First, the screenshot of a small, but quite charming, growing settlement, sent to us by Dabakiel:

The second one is a video recording from Amaunet Phoenix, showing the coronation of West Slavs’ new ruler, King Wulfric:

Thank you for sending us all these materials. Keep them coming and we will, as usual, keep highlighting the best of them in our dev blogs.

We wish you a great weekend everyone!

Dev News #174

Hello, Feudalists!
Even though we don’t have an update this week, the team is working tirelessly on game fixes, tweaks and improvements that we will present you in the nearest future.

And to entertain you during these autumn days, we announce the beginning of the long-awaited “Witch’s Dungeon event”. You may expect that expedition map will be published in Discord on 28th September (Saturday), at 20:00 UTC. Good luck, and let the hunt begin!

For those who have missed the announcement, we’re going to remind you what’s it all about:

“Disturbing rumors swept through the lands of the Crown. The insidious natives, cramped by brave warriors on Godenland, are plotting something unholy. It seems that their witches have been devising their plans and came up with new sinister intrigues to bring death upon the good folk of Abella. One shepherd, grazing herd in the mountains, noticed how these unholy savages slipped by the accompaniment of growling wolf packs into the stinking bowels of one of the caves. Who knows what dark secrets are hidden in this underground maze? But the glorious inhabitants of Godenland just do not intimidate! Especially when a good reward is announced.”

A new horned helmet and 7 days of premium to anyone who brings the insidious trophy of the natives from that cave!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello, Feudalists!
It took a bit longer than we expected with the update that we have released just recently, but our hard work have yielded desired results. Yesterday’s fixes covered some more and less critical issues. Most important problem that we have dealt with were recent server stability issues. They should operate more smoothly now. Do not hesitate to let us know if you face any problems.
We have also fixed the annoyance with splitting item stacks, which forced you to press Enter each time you used manual input to specify amount of items to split from the stack.
Another notable change was adding Manage Object Rights and Rename ability to the post-0.2.0 update buildings - Check the details in our patch notes. You can now configure their permissions same as other buildings on your claim.
Among other improvements and fixes, there’s one last thing we want to mention - a requested Healer’s Standard skin for your Personal War Banners which will properly indicate presence of a healer on the battlefield.
You can, as always, expect more tweaks, fixes and improvements coming your way in the upcoming updates. Remember, we keep our eyes and ears out for your feedback and suggestions which greatly help us improve our game.

And now it’s time for a community spot!
We want to remind you about the upcoming Witch’s Dungeon event that we’ve announced for September 28th. You have one week left to prepare for this dangerous quest! Arm yourselves and await final details next week.
Now, you know we love seeing your creativity at work and we like to share our findings, so here are couple of beautiful screenshots that have particularly caught our attention recently:

Patch Notes (0.25.25.0)

Hello, Feudalists!
Our focus lately has been an investigation of the pesky problems that have been around and caused a lot of annoyance to you, our players, and to us as well. Finally, after some tough bug smashing, we are happy with the results and would like to share them with you.

Patch Notes (ver. 0.25.25.0):
New Features and Tweaks:
  • Abilities “Rename” and “Manage object rights” were enabled for Sanctum of the Sleeper, Stonemason’s Workplace, Ore Washer and Big Tanning Tub
Developer’s comment: this is more of a bugfix, really. The intention was to give control over all buildings that have abilities assigned to them
  • “Repair” ability is now available for Idols
Developer’s comment: while this is a minor change, it’s a part of a bigger fix
  • New premium Healer’s Standard has been added
Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
  • Fixed the cause of recent server stability issues
  • Fixed splitting items in stacks controller — you no longer need to hit Enter after inputting the number of items in the stack manually to confirm the change before pressing OK
  • Fixed the bug that prevented interactions with Hardwood/Softwood logs and Siege ladders in certain situations
  • Fixed the Outpost Totem model scaling. That should prevent the ability to interact with the totem while standing on a second floor of Military Outposts
  • Fixed auto sorting for premium chests
  • Fixed the bug that prevented sacrificing young animals to Kallente

Dev News #172

Hello Feudalists
On the topic of this week patch - It will be a bit delayed, unfortunately. Our investigation of the instability of servers performance revealed rather complex problem, so we have decided to work on this issue a little bit longer. We are planning to introduce this update full of several useful tweaks and fixes next week (fingers crossed). Besides that, one of the key changes in this upcoming patch will be overhauled splitting slider interface for stacking different items. We believe that organizing your warehouse won’t be a pain anymore, and you can restore order in your household with more comfort. Does splitting interface need some other tweaks or changes? Your feedback is always welcomed. Secondly, with the upcoming update, the problem of sacrificing young animals to Kallente will be solved. So, now you can praise the goddess of home and fertility without any annoying obstacles. Another tweak that is going to be added with the update is focused on the issue with items sorting in the premium chests. This feature should work properly when the patch goes live, so the decorated chests will be not only stylish but also functional.

Also, in this update, we extended and fixed available abilities when interacting with the Sanctum of the Sleeper and few other buildings. This fix is mainly focused on the features introduced with the patch 0.2.0. This means that you will be able to share permissions with your guild members to interact with these objects. Furthermore about buildings: the ability to interact with the Military outposts totems through the stairs will also be fixed. And last but not least - we are going to introduce Horned Helmets and Medic Banner to the game. They will become available in the Premium Shop soon.

And now it’s time for a community spot!
