Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD is 70% backed! (Kickstarter)



We are in our second week of campaign and we're really happy because we’re already more than 850 backers! It's great that so many people support Kofi although there is still work to be done!

The fan art contest will start on May 14th!




The fan-art contest we've been talking about for days will start on Tuesday, May 14 and end on Wednesday, May 22. Everyone can enter and the winner will receive a "Golden Chest" tier (which includes a digital copy of the game and a Physical Hardcover Artbook, among other rewards).

Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD will launch a Kickstarter campaign this April.



After some events that the Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD project has gone through behind the scenes, we at Loftur Studio have decided to launch a Kickstarter campaign for it, which will begin by the end of April.

We have been developing Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD for over three years. We have learned a lot, much has happened and we have been constantly working, day after day. Our game is in a very advanced stage, but we’re a very small team and we still find many obstacles that prevent us from finishing the game in the desired conditions, and from reaching higher goals with it.

Bringing the game over to Nintendo Switch (and other consoles) is a constant request amongst players. We want to work on an adaptation of the controls for gamepad and, later on, make a port for Nintendo Switch, with all the work that implies.



We also want to work more in our social networks and open doors for players to be able to participate more in the decision making of some of the content. We have prepared the campaign with much dedication, with interesting rewards and possible Stretch Goals that could make a much better game if we reach them.

The campaign starting date will be announced next week, and we will start showing everything new that we’ve prepared for it.

Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD got an award for Best Indie PC Game at the VLC Indie Summit 2019



On March 9, Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD was awarded its first prize: Best Indie PC Game at the VLC Indie Summit 2019. The jury was comprised of publishing and media professionals who had time to play all the selected games in exclusive.

We want to thank the jury for this award, and all the players who support us every day to keep working and making our game better.

The development of Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD keeps progressing day after day. Mid-2018, a decision was made to expand and improve the project by lengthening its development time, and that period of extra work brings us to today.

Our aim was to finish the game by early 2019 and, once an acceptable point of development had been reached, find an appropriate launch date.

We have been working very hard over the past few months to take the game to a good development point and we’re satisfied with the reached goals.





The scene construction, art, script, soundtrack and voice acting are all finished.

In its implementation, the game is done and it can be played from beginning to end, but there are still some minor errors popping up, as well as ideas of necessary improvements to offer a good experience, especially related to the cinematic aspects of the game, the player’s interaction with the environment and the overall gameplay mechanics. This is a point where we always find new ways of improvement every time we go over games from real players with different gaming profiles and amount of experience.







After suffering some delays in 2018, our objective is for the next launch date announcement to be definitive, which is why we’ll announce said date soon, working hard every day to make it as soon as possible.

Seeing how well accepted the story trailer from last month was, we’re planning on recording new scenes to show you a new video.
