The gamepad control is here! Big big update (1.0)

Hi there mercebinaries! Today we bring a big update for Kofi Quest, with something widely asked, the gamepad control! Kofi Quest was designed to be played with a mouse and a keyboard, so in order to create a gamepad control that feels natural we decided to rethink the control system a little bit. If you still prefer playing with mouse and keyboard you can keep doing that the same way as before, but keep reading, because there are more surprises.

New content!

This update includes all the content made for the Nintendo Switch version. New dungeons, new items, new enemies and new friendships in a big sidequest that will take you to the different regions of the game unwrapping their deepest secrets.

New languages!

Now you can enjoy all of Kofi Quest's content with texts in Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.

Besides all of that, you'll see tons of general improvements, performance optimizations and lots of fixes and added details. We hope you'll enjoy them!

Kofi Quest is coming to Nintendo Switch on August 25

Since this game was released on PC in 2020, we have been working hard on it listening to players and improving many aspects to reach the best possible version. Between 2020 and 2021 the game received numerous patches with corrections and improvements, but as some of you know, in parallel we were working on the long-awaited version for Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version posed quite a few challenges for us, highlighting the optimization to obtain the best performance on the Nintendo console, the controller control, which was especially complicated to design and implement and which went through different phases as a demo for backers of Kickstarter and of course, the inclusion of new content such as dungeons, weapons, mechanics... so that this new version brings out the best in Kofi Quest.

The game that we originally published under the title of “Kofi Quest: Alpha MOD” will be renamed solely “Kofi Quest” when it arrives on Nintendo Switch and will be available from August 25 on the eShop.

In fact, at this point the game is already appearing in the Nintendo eShop, those interested can already add it to their wish list.

All the news of the Switch version will be included in the Steam version through a free patch, but this will not be done immediately, the same day of launch, because we have to do some previous revisions, but we will try to make it available as soon as possible.

  • Fixed bug that spawned incorrect units after saving and loading the game at a specific moment in Paimon's castle.
  • Fixed bug that made units unable to walk around certain trees and made them trip or get stuck while trying to walk through them.
