Update 0.59.4

• Fixed a bug where muzzle flash particles from certain submachine guns continued to display even after stopping fire.
• Resolved an issue that prevented the placement of a firing position in the “Foothills” location.
• Made design adjustments in the “Solnechny” location — minor visual flaws have been fixed.
• Fixed shooting animations for the GSh-18 pistol.
• Corrected errors in the 3D preview of the “Newbie Biker” outfit set.
• Various minor bugs fixed and overall game stability improved.

Make sure to update your game client.

Update 0.59.3

Good day, fighters!

Today, we released update 0.59.3, primarily focused at fixing various bugs and implementing some useful improvements.

As part of this patch, we continued our work on optimizing sound and shot processing, which should positively impact the stability of the Adventure mode.

Changes have also been made to the rewards for successfully completing Adventures: instead of the “Advanced Medkit,” players will now receive a new item — the “Adventure Medkit.” In terms of healing properties, it is similar to the advanced medkit, but with an additional effect — it removes burns.

Please note: this medkit cannot be placed in the account inventory, as it will not be available for purchase in the store and is currently obtainable only through Adventure mode.

Extensive work has been done to fix various issues, correct location design bugs, and implement other minor improvements aimed at enhancing the overall game quality.

Also, we’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the fighters on the upcoming International Cosmonautics Day!

For those who might have “slightly forgotten” the history, here’s a quick reminder of the significance of this remarkable date in human history.

On April 12, 1961, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin became the first human in the world to travel into space. His legendary flight aboard the Vostok-1 spacecraft, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, marked the beginning of a new era in space exploration.

To commemorate this event, a special themed spray can — “Cosmonautics Day” — has been added to the in-game store for all space enthusiasts! The spray can will be available for a limited time, so don’t miss your chance to decorate your weapon.

The servers are currently down for maintenance — don’t forget to update your game client.

Sincerely,
The WTLOnline Team

Update 0.59.1 – The Adventures Continue!

Good day, fighters!

Welcome update 0.59.1! Stock up on burn ointment — you’ll need it more than ever because this update brings something new and hot!

Adventure Master

In the remote corners of the “Tunnels” location, you can now encounter the Adventure Master. He is ready to take you on a journey aboard his railcar, sending you on a distant adventure in search of unique experiences, freebies, and riches!

In the first adventure (and there are more to come!), you’ll have to fight your way through portals, battling hordes of monsters, until you finally come face to face with the fiery embodiment of terror—the Gibliont!
To embark on an adventure, players must apply through the Arena Master. For this, we have created a special interface.

Characters who have already participated in the event are automatically placed on a blacklist for 24 hours and cannot reapply for the same adventure. Players who have applied but did not make it into the adventure can simply wait for the next group—no need to submit another application. However, to avoid missing your turn and ensure your departure, you must stay in the “Tunnels” location and keep an eye on the recruitment process.

Requirements for Adventure #1:

• Character Level: 20-50
• Minimum Players Required: 15
• Maximum Players Allowed: 20
• Adventure Participation Limit: 1 time per day per character

During the adventure, players can earn a variety of consumables and useful items, including repair kits to restore weapons and armor after battles, as well as improve repair skill.

But that’s not all! Among the rewards, you may also find weapons such as the VSS “Vintorez”, “Zastava”, SPAS-12, and UMP, all featuring unique M3 modifications.

Modification parameters of these guns are dynamically generated, making each weapon unique in its characteristics. Furthermore, these weapons can be upgraded (M6 and beyond), allowing them to remain relevant even at higher levels, competing with level 35 weapons. At the same time, they are cheaper, easier to maintain, and use more accessible ammunition.

Please understand that this adventure may contain bugs, minor issues, and potential balance adjustments. However, in our opinion, its difficulty level is not excessively high, so complaints like “this is impossible to complete” will not be considered.
Enhanced Recoil Animations
Our team agrees with players that hip-fire shooting in the game was overly simplified, making weapons feel weightless and the mechanics too casual. While we recognize that some players prefer this style, we decided to listen to the part of the community that seeks a more realistic and tactile combat experience.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

As a result, we have reworked the shooting animation. Now, it features a more noticeable visual recoil, making it feel much heavier and impactful, rather than resembling shots from a water gun. This adjustment affects all weapons in the game.

Additionally, we have improved burst-fire efficiency for most automatic weapons. The first 2–3 shots will now have maximum accuracy with minimal recoil buildup and spread. This change ensures that firing in short bursts remains highly effective.

We hope you enjoy this update, and that these animation improvements positively enhance your gameplay experience!

New In-game Store Design & New Armor Set

In this update, we have significantly redesigned the in-game store, making it more user-friendly for navigating through categories. We’ve also introduced several useful improvements, including one-click purchases and other small tweaks to enhance overall convenience and usability.

Additionally, a new affordable armor set, the “Newbie Biker Set”, has been added in several color variations. This set is designed for players who have reached level 7 and serves as an excellent alternative to the “Gorka” suit. It offers slightly improved environmental protection and significantly reduced wear and tear.

Rewards Balance in the “Foothills” Location

We have made improvements to the reward system for the losing side in battles within the “Foothills” location. Previously, players who lost a match could receive only 30% of the total reward pool, calculated based on the points they earned. Now, this rate has been increased to 60%, ensuring that players receive fair compensation for their efforts, even in defeat. We believe this change will boost player motivation, especially for those who previously lost interest in battles, and will make fights more fair and intense.

Additionally, the list of allowed equipment for placement in the “Foothills” has been adjusted: only caches (including premium ones), MHP, and mortars can now be deployed. Other equipment, including campfire kits, is now prohibited.

Other Changes

• A cat has been added. You can pet it.
• Radios in settlements can now be turned on and off. If it’s bothering you, just walk up and switch it off.
• Improved terrain in the “Eastern Territories” location in the habitat area of Armaturich: more vegetation has been added, making it less barren.
• Fixed design issues in the following locations: “Testing Grounds,” “Minaev’s Territory,” “Swamp,” and “Foothills.”
• Optimized light sources in the “Tunnels” location and added lighting at the quartermaster’s station in “Minaev’s Territory.”
• It no longer rains inside Uncle Borya’s bar.
• The reconnaissance drone no longer triggers MON-50 mine detonation when flying nearby.
• Reworked RPG-7 animations.
• Adjusted RPG-7 reticle.
• Fixed issues in the Chinese localization.
• Fixed a bug where backpack straps were not properly colored on female characters of the “Prospector” class.
• Improved female character models.
• Fixed issues with simultaneously using a stationary machine gun and a motorcycle.
• Corrected minor typos in Russian quest texts.
• Fixed the star display on the “Parade Ushanka” for female characters.
• Improved NPC animations (merchants and others) — they now look at the player and appear more lifelike.
• Fixed numerous minor bugs and inconsistencies.

The servers will be taken down for the update. Don’t forget to update your game client!

Update 0.58.12

Good day, fighters!

The Lunar New Year sale and event have come to an end. We hope many of you managed to complete the Old man’s tasks, as with today’s update, he leaves the game, and all thematic items—fillers, fireworks, and others—disappear along with him.

Alongside this, we’ve prepared several improvements already waiting for you in the game! 🚀
Improvements in the "Foothills" Location
The "Foothills" location has received significant updates! In the control point capture zones, we’ve added many new objects, cover spots, buildings, and elevation changes, making battles even more exciting!
We’ve also fixed a number of minor design flaws: removed unnecessary rocks in some areas, revised the spawn points for "Radio" anomalies, and made other improvements.

Work on the location continues, and there’s still a lot of exciting stuff to come!
Updated Rain
In this update, we’ve reworked the rain: removed the so-called "spaghetti" effect, made the ground wetter, and added more realism. The final result is atmospheric and perfectly captures the grim spirit of the post-apocalypse! 🔥🤗

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

It’s worth noting that the new rain, despite its higher-quality implementation, doesn’t require more resources than its previous version. If we observe 100 FPS without rain on our test configuration, with rain in the same place and at the same time, we get 95 FPS, which doesn’t critically impact performance.

Test configuration:

• Graphics Quality: 2560x1080 Ultra
• AMD FSR: Off
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce 3060
• RAM: 16 GB

Please note: if TemporalAA anti-aliasing is turned off in your graphics settings, the rain may appear "rougher" than when it’s enabled.

Additionally, due to the nature of AMD FSR upscaling algorithms, the rain may not display perfectly when FSR is enabled. This is a natural and expected phenomenon related to how the technology works.
Faction Chevrons
The system for obtaining faction chevrons has been changed. Now, if you’re supposed to receive a chevron for killing a faction enemy, you don’t need to loot the backpack—it will automatically appear in your inventory (if there’s free space). Essentially, the game now has "auto-loot" for chevrons, which significantly simplifies clan progression and the completion of clan quests. Additionally, chevrons obtained this way no longer drop upon character death.
However, restrictions on interacting with chevrons have been introduced: they cannot be traded with other players, exchanged in barter, dropped on the ground, placed in regular stashes, sold, listed on the commission, etc., but they can be destroyed. This means that clan development will now rely on a more convenient way of collecting chevrons and completing clan quests, rather than trading them.
Other Changes
• Added new objects to the "Solnechniy Outskirts" location. We continue to enrich the game world, making it more interesting.
• Fixed issues with the "Foothills" sublocation loading while using a drone. This time, completely.
• Improved the sandstorm mechanics in the "Canyon" location. Fixed the issue where the storm would stop if the character took cover.
• Reduced the blast radius of RPG projectiles.
• Fixed various minor design errors in different locations.

Please update client of the game!

Update 0.58.10 - Lunar New Year Sale

Good day, fighters!

Today, we have released update 0.58.10, which fixes numerous bugs, adds new quests, and launches the Lunar New Year sale!

Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year sale has already begun! Along with it, the Old Man in White Robe has appeared in all settlements of the Will To Live Online world!

By completing the Old man’s tasks, you can earn premium paint cans representing the five elements: fire, metal, water, earth, and wood! These cans can be applied to weapons such as the MSR-10, MSR-12, L96A1, Vepr-12, and PDW. To appease the elemental spirits and obtain the paint, you’ll need to find fillers and create fireworks. Fillers can be exchanged with the Old man.

You can collect fillers until February 9 inclusive, Moscow time (more precisely, until February 10 at 03:00 Moscow time). After the event ends, all fillers will be removed from the game.

Lunar New Year Sale

With the start of the sale, a new item has appeared in the in-game store—a beautiful solution to any verbal disputes: the Golden Knuckle! In honor of the sale, it’s available at a great discount!

List of categories included in the sale:

 • Golden Knuckle
 • Lunar New Year items (paints, paint sets, and snack sets)
 • Premium weapon paint
 • "Master" repair kits for weapons and clothing
 • Mopeds
 • Gas masks
 • Pickaxe
 • "Udav Special" bundle

List of Game Changes

 • Several quests (notes) have been added to the bus station in the "Eastern Territories" location. These quests are designed for players level 16 and above and have no special requirements.
 • A new NPC has appeared in the "Black Sunset" camp. Quests for this NPC will be added in future updates. He’s not very welcoming.
 • Minor design errors in the "Foothills" location have been fixed.
 • Drones can no longer be launched in bad weather (heavy rain or sandstorms).
 • Fixed an issue with the "Big Matador" event in the "Canyon" location, where using an RPG allowed players to complete the event too quickly.
 • Improved character death animations. We’ve added more physical interaction to them.
 • Improved death animations for characters killed while riding a motorcycle.
 • According to our statistics, the "Symbiont" event in the "Bunker" location is too easy. Despite level restrictions, players are completing it too quickly. We’ve decided to double the Symbiont’s health and increase its armor. The event is now available for players before level 40 (previously level 30).
 • Character death now causes a slight feeling of hunger. As you know, food can not only restore health but also increase its maximum (until the first death). This change will allow players to use food after each death.

Balance Changes

 • The balance of RPGs and MON-50 mines has always sparked heated discussions in our community, so we’ve made the following changes:
 • Significantly increased the cost of RPG ammunition.
 • Reduced the chance of RPG ammunition dropping from NPCs in the "Proving Grounds" location.
 • MON-50 mines now require character level 20.
 • MON-50 mines now cost 1500 tokens.
