Update 0.58.12

Good day, fighters!

The Lunar New Year sale and event have come to an end. We hope many of you managed to complete the Old man’s tasks, as with today’s update, he leaves the game, and all thematic items—fillers, fireworks, and others—disappear along with him.

Alongside this, we’ve prepared several improvements already waiting for you in the game! 🚀
Improvements in the "Foothills" Location
The "Foothills" location has received significant updates! In the control point capture zones, we’ve added many new objects, cover spots, buildings, and elevation changes, making battles even more exciting!
We’ve also fixed a number of minor design flaws: removed unnecessary rocks in some areas, revised the spawn points for "Radio" anomalies, and made other improvements.

Work on the location continues, and there’s still a lot of exciting stuff to come!
Updated Rain
In this update, we’ve reworked the rain: removed the so-called "spaghetti" effect, made the ground wetter, and added more realism. The final result is atmospheric and perfectly captures the grim spirit of the post-apocalypse! 🔥🤗

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

It’s worth noting that the new rain, despite its higher-quality implementation, doesn’t require more resources than its previous version. If we observe 100 FPS without rain on our test configuration, with rain in the same place and at the same time, we get 95 FPS, which doesn’t critically impact performance.

Test configuration:

• Graphics Quality: 2560x1080 Ultra
• AMD FSR: Off
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce 3060
• RAM: 16 GB

Please note: if TemporalAA anti-aliasing is turned off in your graphics settings, the rain may appear "rougher" than when it’s enabled.

Additionally, due to the nature of AMD FSR upscaling algorithms, the rain may not display perfectly when FSR is enabled. This is a natural and expected phenomenon related to how the technology works.
Faction Chevrons
The system for obtaining faction chevrons has been changed. Now, if you’re supposed to receive a chevron for killing a faction enemy, you don’t need to loot the backpack—it will automatically appear in your inventory (if there’s free space). Essentially, the game now has "auto-loot" for chevrons, which significantly simplifies clan progression and the completion of clan quests. Additionally, chevrons obtained this way no longer drop upon character death.
However, restrictions on interacting with chevrons have been introduced: they cannot be traded with other players, exchanged in barter, dropped on the ground, placed in regular stashes, sold, listed on the commission, etc., but they can be destroyed. This means that clan development will now rely on a more convenient way of collecting chevrons and completing clan quests, rather than trading them.
Other Changes
• Added new objects to the "Solnechniy Outskirts" location. We continue to enrich the game world, making it more interesting.
• Fixed issues with the "Foothills" sublocation loading while using a drone. This time, completely.
• Improved the sandstorm mechanics in the "Canyon" location. Fixed the issue where the storm would stop if the character took cover.
• Reduced the blast radius of RPG projectiles.
• Fixed various minor design errors in different locations.

Please update client of the game!

Update 0.58.10 - Lunar New Year Sale

Good day, fighters!

Today, we have released update 0.58.10, which fixes numerous bugs, adds new quests, and launches the Lunar New Year sale!

Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year sale has already begun! Along with it, the Old Man in White Robe has appeared in all settlements of the Will To Live Online world!

By completing the Old man’s tasks, you can earn premium paint cans representing the five elements: fire, metal, water, earth, and wood! These cans can be applied to weapons such as the MSR-10, MSR-12, L96A1, Vepr-12, and PDW. To appease the elemental spirits and obtain the paint, you’ll need to find fillers and create fireworks. Fillers can be exchanged with the Old man.

You can collect fillers until February 9 inclusive, Moscow time (more precisely, until February 10 at 03:00 Moscow time). After the event ends, all fillers will be removed from the game.

Lunar New Year Sale

With the start of the sale, a new item has appeared in the in-game store—a beautiful solution to any verbal disputes: the Golden Knuckle! In honor of the sale, it’s available at a great discount!

List of categories included in the sale:

 • Golden Knuckle
 • Lunar New Year items (paints, paint sets, and snack sets)
 • Premium weapon paint
 • "Master" repair kits for weapons and clothing
 • Mopeds
 • Gas masks
 • Pickaxe
 • "Udav Special" bundle

List of Game Changes

 • Several quests (notes) have been added to the bus station in the "Eastern Territories" location. These quests are designed for players level 16 and above and have no special requirements.
 • A new NPC has appeared in the "Black Sunset" camp. Quests for this NPC will be added in future updates. He’s not very welcoming.
 • Minor design errors in the "Foothills" location have been fixed.
 • Drones can no longer be launched in bad weather (heavy rain or sandstorms).
 • Fixed an issue with the "Big Matador" event in the "Canyon" location, where using an RPG allowed players to complete the event too quickly.
 • Improved character death animations. We’ve added more physical interaction to them.
 • Improved death animations for characters killed while riding a motorcycle.
 • According to our statistics, the "Symbiont" event in the "Bunker" location is too easy. Despite level restrictions, players are completing it too quickly. We’ve decided to double the Symbiont’s health and increase its armor. The event is now available for players before level 40 (previously level 30).
 • Character death now causes a slight feeling of hunger. As you know, food can not only restore health but also increase its maximum (until the first death). This change will allow players to use food after each death.

Balance Changes

 • The balance of RPGs and MON-50 mines has always sparked heated discussions in our community, so we’ve made the following changes:
 • Significantly increased the cost of RPG ammunition.
 • Reduced the chance of RPG ammunition dropping from NPCs in the "Proving Grounds" location.
 • MON-50 mines now require character level 20.
 • MON-50 mines now cost 1500 tokens.

Update 0.58.9

Good day, fighters! 🫡

Did you manage to exchange your gift cards? The Smuggler and the festive decorations stayed in the game longer than we promised. Today, we’ve released patch version 0.58.9, which removes the Smuggler and all unused gift cards and introduces some changes.
Changelog
• The sandstorm in the Canyon location has been significantly reworked.
It now looks much better and more realistic. At the same time, the storm has become harsher. These weather conditions will make close-combat classes more in demand. Additionally, the storm is now less demanding on PC characteristics.

• Some caves in the Canyon location now provide shelter from the sandstorm, improving gameplay during cave battles.
• Optimized several objects for better performance.
• The position of the Matador event in the Foothills location has been slightly adjusted.
• Cosmetic changes have been made to the game’s main menu.
• The character editor has also received cosmetic updates.

• Minor design issues in the Foothills location have been fixed.
• Various other minor fixes have been implemented.

New Year Update 0.58.8

Greetings, fighters! Today, we’ve released Update 0.58.8, which marks the start of the winter event!
Frost Deer
The winter world boss, the Frost Deer, returns with some changes to its combat mechanics and rewards. Battles with the Frost Deer are now even more festive and fun! But that doesn’t mean it has become weaker or kinder. It will definitely be fun, though!

The Frost Deer can now only be encountered at night, just like other seasonal bosses. As before, defeating this mighty creature allows players to earn the most gift cards, which can be exchanged for various presents from the Smuggler, who has appeared in all settlements. Additionally, defeating the Frost Deer rewards players with various useful resources, festive snacks, and, on rare occasions, a spray can of “Frost” paint.

At the Smuggler, you can exchange gift cards for a new weapon skin – “Snowman Rage.” This skin features animated and sound effects during intense shooting. However, the “Frost” skin is no longer available for exchange, but as mentioned earlier, it can still be earned as a reward for defeating the Frost Deer.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Additionally, the Smuggler offers holiday snacks, a Frost Bat, and the S&W .500 Special in its standard finish, which is currently available in the game only through the Smuggler. The S&W .500 Special is also included in the holiday bundle available in the in-game store. In these bundles, the revolvers feature premium “Gold” and “Silver” skins, allowing them to be added to the account inventory.
The event begins with the release of the update and will run until January 9th, 2025, inclusive (09/01/2025 19:00 UTC).
Other Changes:
• New cover objects have been added to points C and F in the “Foothills” location.
• If an enemy is marked using a designator and then killed by another player from your faction, you will receive 1 additional point.
• Fixed an issue where characters could not interact with campfires while using emotes.
• Minor adjustments to the reload animation of the L96A1 have been made.
• Fixed an issue where medical items could not be used in certain situations.

Hotfix for version 0.58.7

Good day, fighters! 🫡

Today we’ve released a hotfix for version 0.58.7 with the following changes:
• Fixed overly dark nights in the game. In previous updates, we had already made the nights brighter, but in the latest version, this feature didn’t work as intended. We’ve corrected it now, and nights should once again be more comfortable to navigate. 😊
• Adjusted rewards for faction wars in the “Foothills” location. Based on player feedback, we’ve rebalanced the rewards. The drop rate for modification parts is now 100% (though the quantity may vary), and the drop rate for other reward items is now over 50%. Please note that we aim to maintain the rarity and exclusivity of modified armor, so the idea of scarcity for these parts will remain.
• Changed how points are awarded when using drones during blockpost wars. Destroying an enemy drone now grants up to 5% of the maximum capture points (in the “Foothills” location, this is up to 50 points), while destroying a friendly drone will deduct points. Additionally, if you kill a character that was spotted by a drone, the drone’s owner will receive 1 extra capture point for assistance.

The update is now available for download. Update your game client and get back into the action! 💥
