Glimmer Pteranodon: Video Event!

We have a community-wide announcement to make. We are hosting a YouTube video event for our new Pteranodon that will last until June 30th. Between now and the end of the last day of June, participants in the event must create a video involving our Pteranodon and post it onto YouTube. Once they have done so, we will also be linking the video in our youtube_and_streams channel! It is a goal of ours with this patch to raise our game’s YouTube coverage through hosting this event. If you have a video to submit, make sure to contact me or another member of our staff through discord to let us know!
Join our Official Discord!

The video can be as long or short as the applicant wants. It can be about any topic they wish, so long as it involves our new Pteranodon in some significant way. The video could be a PvP montage, a gameplay guide, a scenic flight of some kind, or anything you can think of. If you have any questions about the viability of a video idea, feel free to ask!

One Pteranodon skin, made by Twilightwolf , has been created but was left out of the patch that deployed last night. It is, indeed, a bioluminescent glimmer skin. As many of you know, some animals have glimmer skins that were granted to people who donated towards our project prior to our Steam release. We now offer a chance for everybody to obtain the Phantom Glimmer Pteranodon skin! This skin will only be obtainable through this event. It will never be available again.
When the event has concluded, we will be judging the videos. The videos will be judged more on effort put into the video and the content itself, rather than things outside the participant’s control, such as YouTube subscriber count, access to high-end editing software, or having a lower-end PC.

Our judging of the event submissions is primarily to filter out extremely low-quality videos and to ensure effort is applied to the submissions. For example, putting 25 minutes of unedited, raw gameplay footage on YouTube will not grant a participant the Phantom Gimmer skin. If we receive a high volume of good-quality submissions, we will be awarding many participants with our skin. Our primary goal here is to spread news of our patch out onto social media, in part through this event, and we have no concern over awarding many people if turnout and video quality is excellent. This is an event, not a contest!

I now present some images of the Phantom Glimmer Pteranodon.
It is fully customizable.

(Steam won't let us upload this image for some reason, just click the link to see the backside of the Pteranodon!)
