A Big Old Update

For the first big content update I have added 8 new items for everyone as well as an endless mode for Singleplayer & Multiplayer. Versus is still in testing, I was so excited about the new items though that I thought I'd release them ahead of it.

Patch Notes:
  • Added Endless Mode!
  • Added 8 New Items!
    1. Inhibitor: Freezes your Tower's Mana value for a duration, preventing any gain or loss of Mana.
    2. Mystic 8-Ball: Whenever your Tower succeeds at a chance roll, it gains some Mana.
    3. Invigorator: Abilities & Items cast by your Tower have a chance to buff it, significantly increasing its Attack Speed & Damage for a duration.
    4. Reality Shard: Converts a percentage of your Tower's regular attack damage to magic damage.
    5. Pipe of Clarity: Its active ability doubles your Tower's experience value, providing all the benefits of levelling up for a duration.
    6. Morning Brew: Increases your Tower's experience by a flat value.
    7. Purifier: Makes a portion of your Tower's damage ignore enemy armor amount & type.
    8. Vendetta: Once your Tower begins attacking a target, they must get twice as far away to escape its range.
  • Fixed potential softlock trying to load a level with pre-placed Towers that had an Aura that modified Attack Range.
  • Tweaks to the new Targeting Algorithm to make it better at discerning the best target in disorderly, multi-lane levels.

More stuff is on the way, but I hope you all enjoy the new items.

New Content On The Way Patch Notes

After a few weeks of cleaning up bugs I've been focusing on a bit of new content for the past week or so. I've been working on a few new levels for everyone as well as implementing a Versus Mode for players to go head to head online in teams of up to two people.

Once the new Versus Mode is stable I'll put it out in a new build, currently it's feature complete I just need to make sure the balance is good and that the logic/UI plays well with people late-joining or rejoining a match.

As for Items, I'm currently planning on a few new ones to give even more build options.

Thanks again to everyone so far, here are some patch notes in the meantime:
  • Optimized Prism Tower Network logic for better performance.
  • Fixed Prism Towers not noticing when a Prism was moved out of their Network.
  • Reworked Altar of Ker's Weakpoint visuals.
  • Door of Janus' Urgent Dispatch mana from 200 -> 100+20/lvl.
  • Door of Janus' Urgent Dispatch gold cost from 35 -> 25+2/lvl.
  • Reduced Gold & XP gain on Hillside map by 15%.
  • Added "Toggled On/Off" labels to Devourer & Riftbinder item tooltips to help players tell which stat bonuses they currently have due to the item being toggled on or off.
  • Optimized manual casting logic.
  • Manual casting an ability that provides a buff to a nearby tower will make it remember that Tower and continue casting on them if you enable auto-casting for that ability.

New Level Small Changes

Been working on some new content for everyone, I've released one of the maps early since it's got great replay value & is tremendously difficult.

Patch Notes:
  • Added new map "Hillside" for solo or multiplayer matches. This level has five lanes to deal with over 3 build locations. Recommend 3-players for this level!
  • Reworked the "Show Paths" visuals to be less cluttered & provide better performance.
  • Fixed various small Level Editor bugs.

QoL Patch

Patch Notes:
  • Added orange triangles on item icons in the shop to show which ones are recommended for your currently selected Tower. This can be disabled through the Options.
  • Improved performance of Transformer item passive ability.
  • Items/Abilities that look at the amount of mana used from a cast now ignore negative cases.
  • Fixed wave info not updating on new map.
  • Fixed Steam Rich Presence in friends list not always displaying the correct wave.
