Greetings Adventurers!

In case you haven’t heard, Ring of Elysium is currently hosting a very special event, The Amazon Cup! We’ve partnered up with Amazon and Twitch content creators to bring everyone an in game tournament that is different from anything we’ve done in the past. From July 2nd - August 11th, Community members can participate in a few different ways so we’re going to get right into explaining not only how you can get involved, but the sweet prizes that are also up for grabs!





The Amazon Cup is an in game online tournament open to all players in North America and Europe featuring the new game mode Ashen Eye. There are two different sides to the Amazon cup, and players can choose to participate in as many of the events as they’d like! To break things down a bit, we’ll be going over each of the events individually since there will be different prizes available based upon the event.

• Twitch Accessory: All who join and play the ROE Amazon Cup tournament (including all official weekly qualifiers and creator GOTO tournaments) will earn a free Twitch accessory. Every player who joins the tournament will be receive a Twitch branded accessory by the end of S4.
  
• Twitch Outfit: The top three (3) players from each region (6 winners weekly) who advance to the finals in each of the 5 weeks will receive a Twitch branded outfit by the end of S4. Also, the top 4 players who advance to the finals (8 total winners for both regions) at the end of 5-week qualifier period will also receive the Twitch branded outfit at the end of S4.
  
• Gaming PC: The top two (2) high-scoring players from all tournament qualifiers (including all official weekly qualifiers and creator GOTO tournaments) will each win a Gaming PC.
  
• Steam gift cards and Twitch Bits: The player that place 1st on each creator GOTO tournament leaderboard will receive a $100 Steam gift card. The top 10 players on each creator GOTO tournament leaderboard will receive 500 Twitch Bits.
  

The Amazon Cup will be hosting in game qualifiers weekly which is how players will be able to qualify for the Regional finals. Here is how players are about to sign up for the qualifiers:

• In the bottom left corner of the home screen, there will be a button for the ROE Amazon Cup
  
• Clicking that button will bring up all of the different events that are currently taking place.
  
• For the Regional event, you’ll want to select the region that you reside in, NA or EU, and select the join option.
  
• After joining a submitting icon will show up, meaning that matches played are submitting data for your qualifier.
  
• Hitting the button again will show joined, which means you are joined for the event but your results are not being submitted

The Regional Championships will take place online on Saturday August 10 (EU) and Sunday August 11 (NA). This event will be broadcasted on Twitch via the WSOE channel (twitch.tv/wsoe), where the same scoring rules will apply and each region will contain 60 total players, featured as 20 separate teams comprised of 3 players each who will compete to see who wins.


The “Final Boss” for the NA region will be Shroud, Twitch.tv/shroud, and for EU it will be Forsen, Twitch.tv/forsen

• Players can also compete in the Amazon Cup through tournaments set up by various content creators!
  
• Content creators will set up their own qualifiers which will run for one week
  
• Players will sign up for these qualifiers in the same way that they sign up for the regional qualifiers

• To bring a more enjoyable matchmaking experience, the Ashen Eye gamemode will now provide a 3X experience bonus for 4 hours per day based on each server’s local time zone, for each server’s time frame, please refer to the following:
  
  • NA- every day at 18:00-22:00, Pacific Daylight Time
    
  • EU- every day at 18:00-22:00, Greenwich Mean Time
    
  • AS- every day at 18:00-22:00, GMT+8
    

• Added customization for reticle styles and brightness
  
  • The default keybinds for switching reticle style is [Page up] and [Page down]
  • The default keybinds for adjusting reticle brightness is [Numpad +] and [Numpad -]
  • Each scope’s brightness and style is memorized individually
    
  • The red-dot scope has 4 styles and 2 colors
    
  • The holographic scope has 3 styles and 2 colors
    
  • The 4X scope has 3 styles
    
  • Other scopes don’t have any customizable styles at the moment
    
  

• Slightly optimized client’s RAM usage in Ashen Eye mode
  

• Fixed an issue where the scope appeared to be blurry when ADSing and moving at the same time
  
• Fixed an issue where vehicle explosions caused players to be eliminated in Training Mode
  
• Fixed an incorrect rescue helicopter spot
  
• Fixed an issue where Citori’s ammunition was shown incorrectly
  
• Fixed an issue where the Scorpion EVO3 A1’s default skin had incorrect textures
  
• Fixed several clipping issues with stones
  
• Fixed an issue where certain items’ LOD distance were too close
  
• Fixed an issue where the character moving sound effect on certain beaches were incorrect
  
• Fixed an issue where some walls had incorrect collisions
  
• Fixed an issue where the text on elimination boxes, announcements, and player reporting UI was too small in some cases
  
• Fixed an issue where certain weapons didn’t have ash accumulation visual effects

• Unlocked the Season 4 Heroic Challenges
  
• After reaching Adventurer Tier 2, all players can unlock the first set of heroic challenges, players who own the Adventurer Pass will unlock the second set heroic challenges when they reach Adventurer Tier 50
  
• Completing heroic challenges rewards include portraits, traversal equipment appearances and a special character style for Max!
  

• To help players achieve optimum training results, players will no longer be eliminated in Training games, including weapon damage, falling damage, volcanic ash damage, etc.
  
• Added a text prompt, hinting players to use healing items to recover their HP when they’re at low health
  

• The official weekly qualifier now shows the total number of players participating the event
  
• Players can now see their own scores even if they’re not on the leaderboard
  

• New items are in store! Introducing three S4 character-themed accessories- Max, Big Joe, and Stella. The price for each accessory is 800 E-Points, purchase them this week to get 20% off! Also, if you buy all three accessories as a bundle, you will get a 480 EP discount!
  

• Enabled the Stella – Hawk Style B adventurer character style
  

• Daily check-in continues from July 20 to July 26 (Pacific Time), check-in for 7 days and receive 100 E-Points!
  

• Attempted to fix an issue where players cannot enter the match in some cases after successful matchmaking
  
• Fixed an issue where the traversal equipment selection UI was shown incorrectly during the pre-spawn selection phase
  
• Fixed an issue where the invitation request for battle buddies didn’t show

• At the beginning of each round, the spawn selection interface will now show the number of players that hasn’t finished loading, after all players are loaded into the game, there will be a 5-second countdown voice prompt, alerting players that the spawn selection phase will start
  

• Optimized the client’s RAM and VRAM usages
  

• Improved the end of round visual effects
  

• Due to players maliciously exploiting the system, we have removed the rule of “10% of referred players’ first-time E-point purchase will be rewarded to the referrer’s account”
