Behind the Banner: Laughing Boulevard
Behind the Banner is a series that shines a light on Albion's many diverse guilds, from fierce PvP warbands to tight-knit social communities. Each episode delves into the identity, playstyle, and goals of a different guild, offering a glimpse into what life is really like behind the banner.

Tell us about your guild.
Laughing Boulevard began when Wozard and his friends decided to play under one banner after experiencing the game in their own ways. At the start, we had no grand vision, just a place where members could shape their own adventures, free from politics and strict rules.
Over time, new faces joined while old friends moved on. Leadership eventually passed to our current Guild Master, Enirs, marking our shift from a laid-back group to a formidable PvP-first guild. We sharpened our zerg through practice and discipline, learning from every defeat and building on every victory. The Laughing Boulevard that now strikes fear into our opposition was forged through countless hard-fought battles.
Why did you choose this name? Is there a story or meaning behind it?
We wanted a name that reflected our mentality when playing the game: having a good time and sharing laughter with friends. The person who suggested it first wanted to reserve it for our alliance, with “Death Comedy” as the actual guild name. But as soon as “Laughing Boulevard” was mentioned, everyone agreed that was the one.
What sort of activities do you focus on?
We mainly focus on PvP content. From small to mid-scale or even large-scale ZvZ, we’ll take every chance we get for a good fight. For us, PvP is where Albion really peaks. The thrill of battle and the loot left behind by our enemies are enough to wash away all our stress after a long day. But to get there, we have to win, and to win, we have to be strong, even the strongest.

What sort of members are you looking for?
We’re always looking for like-minded players who share our passion for PvP and, above all, who are eager to improve and be part of something greater.
Where is your guild primarily located?
We are the strongest warriors, forged in the cold and unforgiving winters of Fort Sterling. This city is home to the mightiest guilds, and it’s no exaggeration to say Fort Sterling is where the strong rise and the weak are weeded out.
Do you have any rivalries or ongoing quarrels with other guilds?
We’ve faced many formidable opponents, and each one became part of our history. Our first major rival, who later became our steadfast ally, was Journey Uncharted. In our early seasons, they were both our toughest enemy and a model of what a strong, disciplined zerg could be. Eventually, we caught up to them, and during our push for top 10 Crystal in Season 28, they stood beside us as brothers-in-arms.

Later, we took on some of Albion East’s most respected guilds: Peony Flower (PLAC), The Flying Dutchman, All Rise, Sunset, and Upper Class. We learned far more from our defeats than our victories, but we’re proud of every win. We’ve also shared many thrilling battles and lasting friendships with many other guilds along the way.
What are some of your most memorable battles or activities?
We’ve been through countless battles, each one memorable in its own way. These encounters have shaped us into the guild we are today: one that refuses to be stopped, constantly adapting and improving for whatever awaits us.
Among our greatest achievements, we wiped Peony Flower three times on our home turf, achieved 101 kills with only 4 deaths while outnumbered two-to-one by Griffin Empire, and broke our long-standing caster curse on AlbionTV by securing 137 kills with only 21 deaths against 108 members of the PLAC Alliance with just 58 of our own.

What does your guild do for fun?
When we’re not chasing glory in battle, we enjoy Albion’s simpler pleasures: Fame grinding, gathering, open-world roaming, and just spending time together. Our Discord community feels like a big family where we share not only game moments but real-life ones too. During the off-season, we hold events like Albion Battle Royale and Mule Races. But one of our best events happened in real life, when 30 of our members got together for an amazing time of camaraderie.
What is your guild's approach to the game? Do you have any core values or beliefs that guide how you play together?
We run on a non-mandatory principle. Gaming should be fun and free, so we don’t force participation. Our members fight alongside us not because of rules or obligations, but for their friends, their community, and their own goals. From the biggest Calls to Arms to the smallest skirmishes, everything is optional. Laughing Boulevard is a place where you can find connections, enjoy the game your way, and still experience the thrill of passion-driven PvP without the pressure.
What are your goals for the future?
Fort Sterling alone feels too small for us now, so we’ve embarked on a crusade across all five portals of Albion. We’re chasing new horizons and battles beyond anything we’ve known. Our long-term goal is to build a 50-70 man zerg that can stand firm against anyone. As long as the Laughing Boulevard banner flies in the Outlands, we’ll keep proving who we are and how we fight.
Anything else to share about your guild?
For the longest time, we had a “caster curse”: Whenever AlbionTV focused on us, we’d lose. But we finally broke it in the best way possible, defeating PLAC’s alliance while heavily outnumbered.

To strengthen engagement between members and raise awareness of Albion’s politics, we even created our own guild newspaper.
