Behind the Banner: La Guarida del Joker
Behind the Banner is a series that shines a light on Albion's many diverse guilds, from fierce PvP warbands to tight-knit social communities. Each episode delves into the identity, playstyle, and goals of a different guild, offering a glimpse into what life is really like behind the banner.
After some rough days in the guild we used to be in, we started considering the idea of creating our own guild, and one day we just said: “let’s do it!” Guarida was then born on April 24, 2024. Since then we’ve had big highs and real lows: sometimes we were many, sometimes we were very few. We’ve been betrayed by people from inside our own ranks, but we’ve also had officers step up and refuse to let Guarida fall, always with G3n3 leading the way. People know us for being persistent. If we’re one or thirty, we defend ourselves the same. We’re also known because every officer who left us has tried to take our territory and hunt us down after. Spoiler: they never managed it.
Why did you choose this name? Is there a story or meaning behind it?
During a chat between the founders, we agreed to carry on the legacy of g3n3r4p and his podcast, The Joker’s Lair. Right there, laughing together, we picked the guild name and the colors that would represent us: purple and green.
What sort of activities do you focus on?
We do a bit of everything. Fame farming to help newer players grow, PvE to push Season Points, ZvZ to defend our territory, and whatever else keeps the guild moving.
What sort of members are you looking for?
We want players who aren’t scared of dying, who enjoy a fight, and who are ready to defend our territory as many times as it takes. New players are welcome too, as long as they’re willing to learn and become great players with us.

Where is your guild primarily located?
Our territory and HQ are in Dryven Oasis, three maps out from the Bridgewatch portal.
Do you have any rivalries or ongoing quarrels with other guilds?
When The Lonely Men lost the war in their regions, they tried to claw back territory near the portal, and Dryvein Oasis was one of their targets. So every day we raised a banner to reclaim our map. It was excellent content.
What are some of your most memorable battles or activities?
One that stands out is our fight for Battlebrae Lake against Deceit. We were outnumbered, but still came out with over 200 profit.
What does your guild do for fun?
We like heading out to clean the map so the newer members can relax and farm without stress.
What is your guild's approach to the game? Do you have any core values or beliefs that guide how you play together?
We stick to the caller’s instructions, always. Loyalty to the guild is the baseline.
What are your goals for the future?
I want to take Guarida to Crystal Rank, with a strong, fierce ZvZ core behind us.
Anything else to share about your guild?
I’ll always be proud of the people who stayed with me and who have been loyal to the guild. Guarida makes us laugh, makes us mad sometimes, and gives us something fun every day. The combo we have is special. ¡AGUANTE GUARIDA! ♥G3n3r4p
