Changelog: Realm Divided Patch 3

This patch brings key balance changes ahead of the next Guild Season, along with additional adjustments and fixes to Faction Warfare and Avalonian Dungeons.
Season 29 Winner Statues Unveiled
Statues have been erected in Conqueror’s Hall to mark the winners of Season 29: Take Care, All Rise, and Make Albion Great Again. Congratulations to the triumphant guilds!
Faction Warfare Changes
• The minimum Supply needed for a Faction to activate the bonus to Supply generation when falling behind has been reduced from 3000 to 650
    • This threshold is now based on the total supply generated by all factions in a Province, rather than each individual faction
    • This helps to keep conflicts competitive even when there is a large score disparity
  • To balance the natural defender advantage during the Supply phase and encourage more Fortress fights, attacking Factions now generate 33% additional Supplies from all sources
Season Changes
• An additional full Energy Storage payout now occurs during the mid-season Invasion Day
  • Several Might challenges have been adjusted:
    • The 2v2 and 5v5 Hellgates categories have been merged into one: Hellgates
      • Requirements reduced by 15% and 25%, respectively
    • Corrupted Dungeons:
      • Requirements reduced by 66%
    • The Depths:
      • Requirements increased by 87,5%
    • Hideout Cores:
      • Requirements reduced by 29%
    • Castles:
      • Requirements increased by 50%
    • Smugglers:
      • Requirements reduced by 30%
Avalonian Dungeon Changes
We've heard your concerns regarding the use of third-party tools to exploit Avalonian Dungeons. However, finding a good solution has taken some time, because we didn't want to adversely affect the content for legitimate players.

To mitigate this issue, we have introduced several changes that will make it harder to exploit these dungeons, while preserving a good experience for legitimate players in this content. We welcome your feedback on how this plays out in practice and if you have any concerns about these changes.
  • Avalonian Dungeons now always have two or three floors
  • The first floor will always have at most a single chest
  • Uncommon and Legendary Chests, which previously spawned as two separate chests, have been consolidated into a single chest
    • This allows us to hide the rarity of the chest until it is unlocked
  • On average, Avalonian Dungeons are now slightly longer than before, but contain more bosses and therefore chests
Combat Balance Changes
Arcane Staffs

The payoff for consuming Arcane Charges from Chain Missile has been increased to help DPS Arcane play in both solo and group scenarios.
  • Chain Missile (all Arcane Staffs)
    • Arcane charges damage: 55 → 60
Frost Staffs

Glacial Obelisk has received mechanical adjustments to improve its gameplay clarity, alongside a small damage buff.
  • Glacial Obelisk (all Frost Staffs)
    • Damage: 70 → 77
    • Explosion damage radius: 5m → 6m
    • Recast time window: 5s → 6s
    • Now always deals damage after 6s (can still be detonated early)
Holy Staffs

The Ascended passive has provided too much reliability and safety to Holy Beam and Holy Touch relative to their strength, so the duration of its Cast Protection has been reduced.
  • Ascended (all Holy Staffs)
    • Duration: 2.5s → 2s
Shapeshifter Staffs

Crystalburst has had its range and area duration increased when consuming Shapeshifter Charges, making it easier to combo with Serpent’s Gaze.
  • Crystalburst (Stillgaze Staff)
    • Range: 10m → 11m
    • Area duration: 3s → 3.5s
    • Total area damage: 174 → 201
Swords

Getting the last hit with Mighty Blow now allows it to be used again, potentially allowing it to be chained multiple times.
  • Mighty Blow (Broadsword)
    • Cooldown now resets on kill or knockdown
    • No longer consumes Heroic Charges
Axes

Relentless Assault has been updated to deal physical rather than magical damage, aligning its damage type with the ability’s behavior and feel.
  • Relentless Assault (Crystal Reaper)
    • Now deals physical rather than magical damage
War Gloves

Dragon Leap’s damage output has been altered so that ending the combo after the first hit results in higher DPS, while the second hit deals less damage but remains valuable for crowd control.
  • Dragon Leap (all War Gloves)
    • 1st cast damage: 70 → 95
    • 2nd cast damage: 85 → 70
Triple Kick now deals additional damage against mobs, to help War Gloves feel better in PvE.
  • Triple Kick (all War Gloves)
    • Damage vs mobs per tick: 60 → 85
Helmets

Smokebomb has been adjusted to prevent invisibility from persisting while gathering.
  • Smokebomb (Hellion Hood)
    • Invisibility is now removed on world interactions
Armors

Following recent changes, Soldier Armor has proved particularly strong when used purely for its immediate heal. It has now been adjusted to preserve its high-impact upfront heal, while reducing the effectiveness of repeatedly toggling it solely for healing.
  • Fury (Soldier Armor)
    • Deactivating the toggle early sets the cooldown to 60s
Shoes

Delayed Teleport’s defensive buff duration has been increased to better support engage tanks.
  • Delayed Teleport (Mage Sandals)
    • Resistances buff duration: 2s → 3s
Elbow Smash has had its knock-up duration increased to give users and their allies more time to set up and land a follow-up.
  • Elbow Smash (Judicator Boots)
    • Knock up duration: 0.8s → 1s
Mark of Sacrifice has struggled to find its place, partially due to how unreliable it is. To address this, its initial channel will no longer be interruptible, allowing Hellion Shoes to be a viable option in more content types.
  • Mark of Sacrifice (Hellion Shoes)
    • Channel can no longer be interrupted (dash still can be)
Swift Cut has seen increased play with its extended range, but its damage combined with a low cooldown had proved slightly too oppressive. Therefore, its damage has been reduced to match Blind Spot.
  • Swift Cut (Assassin Shoes)
    • Damage: 102 → 90
Mounts

Soulspindle Pounce has received adjustments to improve its clarity and consistency, including updated visuals and changes to its range and timing.
  • Soulspindle Pounce (Soulspinner)
    • Time window: 2.5s → 3s
    • Range: 20m → 15m
    • Movespeed buff duration: 4s → 5s
Miscellaneous

Healing in instanced small-scale content has been too powerful, leading most compositions to rely on a dedicated healer. Healing reduction has thus been increased to promote more varied team compositions.
  • 2v2 Hellgates, Duo Mists, Duo Depths, and Trio Depths
    • Healing debuff: 30% → 35%
  • Corrupted Dungeons and Solo Mists
    • Healing debuff: 30% → 40%

  • Various additional graphical, animation, terrain, audio, UI, and localization fixes
Realm Divided Part II
February 23 sees the release of Realm Divided Part II. This content release expands the Realm Divided update with two further features: Faction Battle Standards and a reworked Bandit Assault.

Faction Battle Standards

Faction Battle Standards are new Faction Warfare carriables that can earn you Faction Points for successfully delivering one to an Outpost.
  • Battle Standards can be found in active Provinces
  • Any Faction-flagged player can pick one up
  • Participating in Faction PvE, PvP, and capturing Outposts increases their value
  • Battle Standards can be delivered to a friendly Outpost for Faction Points
    • These are awarded to the carrier and anyone who has fought alongside them or is in the Party when the Battle Standard is delivered

However, enemies who take down the carrier can pick up the Battle Standard for themselves – including the value it’s accrued. This adds a valuable new objective for Faction players to fight over in their quest for superiority.

Bandit Assault

The Bandit Assault event has been overhauled to integrate better into the new Faction Warfare system.
  • This event now uses the Supply system to mark progress
    • This means that all Faction activities contribute, not just Outposts
  • The Bandit Assault has two distinct phases:
    • The first is a large-scale conflict spanning all lethal Provinces
    • The second focuses the action on two lethal Provinces
  • The climax is a multi-Faction battle for valuable chests within two Fortresses

These changes make the Bandit Assault an exciting, high-stakes centerpiece to red zone Faction Warfare, and promise to draw all Factions together in bloody battles.
Spring Update
April sees the release of Albion’s first major content update of 2026, bringing the game into a new era with some foundational changes, including:
  • A visual overhaul of the open world, making it more readable and atmospheric while maintaining its identity
  • Significant performance improvements
    • This is an ongoing endeavour, with this update marking a significant step forward
  • The Armory, a new tool to discover build loadouts for every content type and skill level
  • A new 1v1 Arena for PvP training, and a new Crystal Arena map

This update promises to strengthen and revamp Albion Online at its core, laying the groundwork for what’s to come.
Xbox Console Launch
Shortly after the spring update, we’re excited to announce that Albion Online is coming to console, with an official release on Xbox.
  • This marks a huge milestone on Albion’s cross-platform journey
  • It brings a brand new UI navigation flow for console, with specifically adapted key screens
  • This opens the door for possible further console expansions in the future

Albion Online’s Xbox launch is a massive step forward for the game, bringing it to countless new players and offering further playability options to our existing community.
Keeper Event Season
In the summer, we’ll be running a special, time-limited season.
  • This is the first such season since the Avalonian Invasion of 2019
  • It centers around a one off “Keeper Event” – more details to follow
  • This creates a unique, shared experience for all Albion Online players

Narratively, it ties into the update which will follow this season, leading into the biggest gameplay update on our Roadmap…
Summer Update - Dragons
Albion’s summer update brings a truly massive addition to the game, one long-requested by our community.

Dragons.
  • Dragons represent a central element of Albion’s Arthurian fantasy world
  • They will provide momentous, memorable objectives for players to prepare for, band together for, and compete for
  • The most rewarding Dragons will be in full-loot areas, but they will also provide opportunities for non-full-loot gameplay
  • Dragons offer high-end PvE, competitive PvP, and new opportunities for exploration
Full gameplay details will be revealed closer to the release of that update, but we can’t wait to see the stories that will unfold once they’re unleashed on the world.

That takes us through summer, but there’ll be more to come after that, so stay tuned for further developments. Meanwhile, leave your questions, comments, and feedback in the comments – we’ll be responding to them in a forthcoming video.

And there’s also a special live Q&A with the devs coming up on January 28 at 17 UTC on AlbionTV (twitch.tv/albiononline)! Join us for a chance to pose your question live on stream, and to learn more about what’s coming to Albion Online. More details on the way!

Behind the Banner: Fort Sterling

We interrupt our usual programming with a special edition of Behind the Banner. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be shining the spotlight on Discord communities that organize Faction Warfare content across each server. If you’re looking for a more organized way to take part, or want to try your hand at shotcalling, read on to get to know these communities and join them on Discord.

We begin with Fort Sterling. A Faction forged in the harshest winters and adverse conditions, these polar bears are masters of survival and resilience. Take a look:
FSO (Albion Americas)
Discord: discord.gg/FSO

How long has your Discord been active?

We’ve been active for three years.

What does your community have to offer?

At FSO, our primary aim is to introduce players to ZvZ fights through the Faction Warfare playground. This includes help with builds, general guides, quality shotcallers, and support from both the community and staff members. Additionally, we aim to assist players who want to step up and become shotcallers themselves.

Why did you choose Fort Sterling?

The community was originally formed by members of the previous Fort Sterling Faction Discord. They recruited from their guildmates in the Outlands, who were also bound to the Fort Sterling portal. On a personal note, I enjoy colder weather, and that preference carries over into many of my ingame choices.

Do you offer yellow or red zone Faction Warfare content?

We offer a mix of both. Yellow zone content is mainly used for shotcallers in training to practice ZvZ, while red zone content includes a wider variety of activities such as Fame farming, camp clearing, and fighting in Bandit Assaults and Fortress Sieges.

Do you have a message for the other factions out there?

The recent updates have brought new life to FSO specifically, and I truly hope they have the same effect on other Factions as well. We wish you the best of luck, and hope to see you on the battlefield.

FSO (Albion Europe)
Discord: discord.gg/dgAxNhuFcM

How long has your Discord been active?

We’ve been active since the launch of Albion Europe.

What does your community have to offer?

We offer ZvZ and Outpost capping in both red and yellow zones, with a strong focus on Bandit Assaults.

Why did you choose Fort Sterling?

We are the sister server of FSO in Albion Americas, so Fort Sterling was always the natural choice. Since Fort Sterling is also one of the weaker Factions on Albion Europe, we decided not to switch.

Do you offer yellow or red zone Faction Warfare content?

We offer both. Our goal has always been to offer content for everyone.

Do you have a message for the other factions out there?

Let’s keep Faction Warfare active and fun. Good fights to everyone!
FSO (Albion Asia)
Discord: discord.gg/CPzcrJhUKZ

How long has your Discord been active?

We’ve been active since October 2021, when the server was founded as an Asian branch of the main FSO server. As co-owner, SojiMotive took responsibility for keeping the community thriving, while Callypsa, the owner, worked with the moderator team to lead the Faction Warfare community on Albion Asia, producing content day and night. Without their dedication, the community would not have reached its current success, now standing at 6,287 members from across the Albion Online community.

What does your community have to offer?

The community offers a wide range of Faction content, including both PvP and PvE-focused activities. We are mainly active between 06:00 and 18:00 UTC, depending on the availability of our content shotcallers.

Why did you choose Fort Sterling?

I chose Fort Sterling because it symbolizes bravery compared to the other Factions. It thrives through winter and has the mighty Elite Winter Bear as its mount, giving its players a strong defensive presence against rival Factions. I have no doubts or regrets about choosing Fort Sterling as my home since my first day in Albion Online.

Do you offer yellow or red zone Faction Warfare content?

Yes, we offer both yellow and red zone content. This includes arranged fights with rival Factions, small-scale fights in red zones, and much more following the Realm Divided update. The scene has been thriving thanks to Siege content and the ability to engage in more exciting PvP action.

Do you have a message for the other factions out there?

Winter is coming, and so are we. Fort Sterling on top!

Stay tuned for more in this series, as we meet the other Faction communities on each server!
