Visual Preview: Faction Camps

Over here at Sandbox Interactive HQ the team is hard at work on Albion’s next major content update, on which we’ll be bringing you more details soon. But to whet your appetites, we thought we’d give you a glimpse at the visual development of some of these features, starting with Faction Camps.

Faction Camps are new Faction Warfare objectives, which players can contest to unlock rewards. Art Director Stefan Warias had this to say about them:

Faction Camps are locations that factions used to store their supplies and station troops, but which have now been overrun in battle and left to opportunistic bandits. Smoke obscures and stains everything, palisades smoulder, structures are battered and destroyed, and dark figures roam, capitalizing on the faction battles taking place nearby and looting everything that isn't nailed down.

These images illustrate this visual narrative, with beaten and singed tents and banners where factions once stood firm offering players an enticing objective. They may have been ransacked, but there are still valuable rewards to be found there…

Stay tuned to learn more about this feature, and for more visual previews!

Creator Spotlight: JBS GLOVE

Creator Spotlight is a series where we shine a light on Albion Online’s dedicated Content Creators by sharing their stories, unique perspectives, and favorite moments. Get to know them and, if you’re intrigued, follow their channels for more!
JBS GLOVE
How and when did you get into creating Albion Online content?

I first got into content creation when I was playing Hellgates with a friend. At first, I just wanted to make funny videos, but over time, I started experimenting with cinematic, mad-movie-style editing to give my clips a more intense and dramatic feel.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Do you have a favorite video of yours that you think everyone should have seen? Let us know why it's special!

This video intentionally exaggerates inventory weight to make my character appear slow and heavy, baiting top players and pros into chasing me. It’s been praised for being very clever, and I think it can definitely inspire others. I highly recommend checking it out!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Do you have any new content in the making that you would like to tease?

I enjoy creating stories where I use off-meta gear to completely crush the current popular meta. As a teaser, my next video will feature a build with a Robe paired with an impressive Sword…

What advice would you give other players who are considering becoming Albion Online content creators?

At first, I uploaded videos just to keep a record of my fights without much thought. But when they started gaining attention, I became more motivated, and since then I’ve continued creating content. If you genuinely enjoy playing Albion, go ahead and give it a try anytime. That’s how I started, and it’s what keeps me going.

Reap the Rewards of the Harvest Challenge

The harvest season is here. Fields lie silent under the moon, and whispers drift across Albion’s cemeteries inviting you to join the Harvest Challenge. By earning Challenge Points in the open world, you can gather eerie treasures and reap the ultimate reward: the Spectral Bat, a ghostly creature that flickers through the night like a restless spirit. Every point gathered is another soul for your harvest, so take up your sickle now and collect what is yours!
Reap What You Sow
SPECTRAL BAT: This month's Challenge offers another chance to claim the amazing Spectral Bat. In addition to its spooky appearance, this winged menace comes with a powerful Flicker spell that allows you to jump to a target location in the blink of an eye. (Note: like all mounts, the Spectral Bat cannot fly over obstacles or gaps.)

AVATAR RING: Adventurers who rack up enough total Challenge Points will also earn the Harvest Challenge Avatar Ring, featuring a pair of eerie, grinning skeletons. This non-tradable item permanently unlocks this avatar border for one character, or can be traded to the Vanity Merchant for one Vanity Token.

SEASONAL SPECIALS: All month long, reach weekly point totals to unlock Harvest Challenge Chests. Along with valuable rewards like Adventurer's Tomes, Silver, resources, and other loot, you'll also have a chance to unlock six seasonal furniture items: the Scary Pumpkin Lantern, Friendly Pumpkin Lantern, Halloween Lantern, Halloween Cauldron, Halloween Scarecrow, and Halloween Pyre.
How to participate in the Adventurer's Challenge
The Adventurer's Challenge is a monthly event where you can earn exclusive rewards such as mounts, Tomes of Insight, bags of Silver, and more. By gathering, fishing, farming, and defeating monsters, you'll earn Challenge Points that fill daily, weekly, and monthly progress bars. To track your progress, open the Adventurer's Challenge UI by clicking on the Activities menu.

While only Premium players can unlock the Monthly Rewards (Avatar Ring, Mount) and Weekly Rewards (Challenge Chests), anyone can claim the Daily Rewards, which include 10 Learning Points and a Tier 4 Tome of Insight. Non-Premium players also make progress on all reward tracks, so when you’re ready to unlock Premium, your earned rewards will be waiting for you!
