Behind the Banner: Catgdom

Behind the Banner is a series that shines a light on Albion's many diverse guilds, from fierce PvP warbands to tight-knit social communities. Each episode delves into the identity, playstyle, and goals of a different guild, offering a glimpse into what life is really like behind the banner.

 • Guild Name: Catgdom
 • Guild Leader:  Kolt500 and my warlords Chaossik and Ranvy
 • Date Founded: April 2024
 • Size: ~200 members
 • Primary Language: Czech/Slovak and English
 • Server: Albion Europe
 • Discord: discord.gg/hYvd5ADpwT
Tell us about your guild.

I hated how divided the Czech/Slovak Albion community was. There was so much hate between every CZ/SK guild. That’s why I wanted to create a community that would stay neutral, and I think it worked really well. Our community feels very friendly.

Today, we’re known for being the biggest Czech/Slovak guild on Albion Europe. We are non-mandatory and offer nearly all of Albion’s activities! And although we have many members now, we still try to focus on each individual and support one another. Catgdom’s DNA is built on a healthy approach to the game: mandatory CTAs are not a requirement to achieve great things.

Why did you choose this name? Is there a story or meaning behind it?

Back when there was only one server, I invited my ex-girlfriend (Mion) to play Albion with me. She loves cats, so I came up with the idea: Kingdom + Cats = Catgdom. Fun fact: we’re not a couple anymore, but we’re still playing Albion together… in Catgdom.

What sort of activities do you focus on?

We focus on a broad mix of content: 10- and 20-man Avalonian Dungeons, daily Static Dungeons, and World Bosses. Small-scale fights happen three to five times a day, while at 18 UTC we often gather 30 to 40 players for mid-scale content. On top of that, we put strong emphasis on economy, with crafting and refining supported by a boosted Hideout and stations in every city.

What sort of members are you looking for?

We are mainly looking for Czech and Slovak players, though we also have a small group of English-speaking players. Our one rule is simple: don’t be overly toxic toward your fellow guild members or other players. Newbies are just as welcome as seasoned veterans. The only requirement is active participation and a willingness to progress, learn, and improve. Everything else will come with time.

Where is your guild primarily located?

Our home is Floatshoal Bight. It’s an awesome map that offers excellent crafting bonuses for our regear system and is close to the Portal, making it easy for players to transport everything to and from the Hideout.

Do you have any rivalries or ongoing quarrels with other guilds?

Our main rivalry was with another Czech guild, which I won’t name because things have finally cooled down. Their guild master had a reputation for being toxic within the community and even tried to lure some of our members away. Eventually, we had a straightforward talk between guild masters and agreed to put an end to it.

What are some of your most memorable battles or activities?

Our most memorable battle was against that rival guild. We were heavily outnumbered and had almost no chance of winning, but somehow we managed to pull off an 18 vs 33 victory. Since that day, we have earned their respect.

What does your guild do for fun?

We enjoy plenty of activities outside Albion. Many of our members like to play other games such as Goose Goose Duck. The guild also organizes real-life meetups from time to time. There will always be someone hanging out in a Discord call, ready to play together or just chat. As a guild master, that’s incredibly rewarding. Seeing the guild stay connected and active even outside Albion is exactly what I always wanted!

What is your guild's approach to the game? Do you have any core values or beliefs that guide how you play together?

We focus on keeping CTAs non-mandatory, while still giving both newbies and veterans a friendly, supportive environment where they feel accepted.

What are your goals for the future?

Our main goal is to conquer the Floatshoal Bight territory, as that’s where our home is located in the Outlands. Another priority is to secure a high-quality Hideout so our crafters can produce at higher profits.

Anything else to share about your guild?

Tulaghon is zahradník [gardener]. Kolt500 is bad at gathering. Monkey brawl always works. Chaossik is new to the game. Arrachnid is back in the game and has no depression. BPKJ is a young, experienced shotcaller with big potential. Wrek is a bomber.

Crystal Offhands are Here!

With the end of Season 28 today, players are cracking open their Conqueror’s Chests to see what rewards they’ve earned for their efforts over the last two months. And amongst those rewards are valuable Artifacts which players can use to craft three brand-new items: Crystal Offhands.

Crystal Offhands build on the recently-completed Crystal Weapons line with three powerful new options for your offhand slot – the Unbreakable Ward, Blueflame Torch, and Timelocked Grimoire:
 • Unbreakable Ward (Shield): A strong defensive option, significantly buffing your energy, defense, and healing received
 • Blueflame Torch (Torch): Improves your healing cast and crowd control resistance
 • Timelocked Grimoire (Tome): Improves cooldown rates and cast times, making you a relentless opponent in combat
These items will be making their way onto Albion’s Marketplaces and battlefields today, and we look forward to seeing their impact ahead of the start of Albion’s next Guild Season on September 13!

Light the Fuse of Chaos in the Heretic Challenge

This month’s Adventurer’s Challenge is stacked with Heretic-themed rewards, straight from the minds of Albion’s most explosive faction. Among them is their most unhinged creation yet: the Heretic Combat Mule. Earn Challenge Points through open-world mayhem to unlock this barely functional combat beast, bolted with creaky wooden cannons and fueled by pure madness. Crack open chests stuffed with volatile surprises, and ride like you're one loose screw away from glory. But hurry! That makeshift cannon doesn't look very stable...
Mighty Mules and Heretic Decor
HERETIC COMBAT MULE: This month's Challenge brings back the Heretic Combat Mule, a war machine from the twisted minds of Heretic saddlers. The Combat Mule fires a powerful cannon shot that knocks back and slows targets, but watch out for its massive recoil!

AVATAR RING: Adventurers who rack up enough total Challenge Points will also earn the Heretic Challenge Avatar Ring. This non-tradable item permanently unlocks this crazed, ramshackle avatar border for one character, or can be traded to the Vanity Merchant for one Adventurer's Token.

SEASONAL SPECIALS: All month long, reach weekly goals to unlock Heretic Challenge Chests. In addition to valuable rewards like Adventurer's Tomes, Silver, and resources, you'll also have a chance to unlock special furniture items like the Heretic Lantern, Heretic Junkpile and Heretic Scarecrow.
How to participate in the Adventurer's Challenge
The Adventurer's Challenge is a monthly event where you can earn exclusive rewards such as mounts, Tomes of Insight, bags of Silver, and more. By gathering, fishing, farming, and defeating monsters, you'll earn Challenge Points that fill daily, weekly, and monthly progress bars. To track your progress, open the Adventurer's Challenge UI by clicking on the Activities menu.

While only Premium players can unlock the Monthly Rewards (Avatar Ring, Mount) and Weekly Rewards (Challenge Chests), anyone can claim the Daily Rewards, which include 10 Learning Points and a Tier 4 Tome of Insight. Non-Premium players also make progress on all reward tracks, so when you’re ready to unlock Premium, your earned rewards will be waiting for you!

Ambassador Spotlight: Megz

AlbionTV continues its interview series bringing the spotlight to the AOCP Ambassadors introduced with the Abyssal Depths update. This week, the spotlight is on Megz. Tune in to twitch.tv/albiononline this Friday, August 29 at 20:00 UTC for a live interview with one of Albion’s most community-driven and warmhearted streamers.
Megz
Megz never planned to be a streamer, let alone an AOCP Ambassador. In fact, she says she hated the game at first. But when her husband, fellow Ambassador Nazori, asked her to help edit his videos, she gave Albion another chance, and this time it stuck. What began as a reluctant favor quickly became her passion, and today she’s one of the game’s most wholesome voices.

Unlike many creators, Meggy doesn’t run a Youtube channel. Her content isn’t about flashy highlight reels or clutch plays, it’s about being present with her community. Every stream is centered on spending time together, sharing laughs, trading sassy jokes, and building connections. And if that’s not enough, her Twitch bot dishes out questionable Albion-themed pick-up lines to keep everyone on their toes.

Outside of the game, Megz is a mum of four and often channels that same “mama bear” energy into Albion. She runs an active guild, guiding her “guild babies” with patience and humor. Under her leadership, they’ve reached back-to-back Gold rankings – not bad for someone who calls herself “below average skill-wise”. She also organizes the long-running 20v20 Extravaganza on AlbionTV, now thriving across both Albion Americas and Europe.

As an Ambassador, Megz fosters a more welcoming environment in Albion: drawing in new players, creating community, and proving you don’t need to be top tier to make a difference. So if you’re after content that’s equal parts wholesome, chaotic, and hilarious, Megz is the one to watch. Catch her live interview this Friday at 20:00 UTC for more laughs, a shot at winning the Priest vanity bundle, and perhaps the chance to learn a pick-up line or two.
