Projekt Z: Beyond Order | Blogpost #5
Hey Survivors!
Welcome back to our latest devblog! We apologize for the radio silence while we've been hard at work polishing the combat and crafting immersive, atmospheric environments that will bring Projekt Z to life when you finally step into the world. We know you're eagerly awaiting more details on launch, which we'll share in a big update soon.

In the meantime, we’re excited to give a look into some of what we've been working on, including new UI, Hideout changes and more.
First Look at New UI
We've completely revamped the UI system and we're happy with the progress we've made!

Workbench (Modify Weapon)

Workbench (Repair Weapon)
Shooting Range
In the Hideout we've added a shooting range where you can test your newly built weapons. Doesn't feel quite right or work how you want it to? Head back to the workbench after a few rounds and make the necessary changes.
Character Intro Cutscenes
Each of our four characters now has their own unique cutscene! When you select your character, you'll get taken to a specific cutscene to learn about the character's backstory. Start new games to learn about all our survivors.
Mission Interaction
We've worked hard to design almost every mission interaction to now have an animation! We believe this will yield a more immersive playing experience.
Lighting Rework
Another major polishing change is we've reworked our lighting to provide a much crisper environment. Check out the drastic changes in this before and after clip.
Hideout Design Changes
We've done a major overhaul to the Hideout by adding new areas such as the shooting range, and making a better Feng Shui in the shelter. Our new lighting changes and redesign make every part of the Hideout feel unique.

If you haven't already, be sure to join our Discord server to be a part of the development journey. We value your input and often share exclusive work-in-progress content and surveys to gather your early feedback.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to fine-tune and polish Projekt Z: Beyond Order into the ultimate coop experience. Until then, stay vigilant, stay alive, and never stop fighting. The fate of humanity rests in your hands.

Projekt Z: Beyond Order | Blogpost #4
Hey Survivors!
Welcome back to our latest devblog! We’re excited to share some big updates as we continue to shape the world of Projekt Z. This time, we’re introducing new weapons to give you even more ways to take on the undead. Prepare to unleash the versatile AS44 assault rifle, dominate with the rapid-fire MG42, and get up close and personal with our first melee weapon, the brutal Table Leg.

We’ve also been listening to your feedback and are adding a fresh Grunt variant to balance out the number of Officers on the island, creating more variety in your encounters. Plus, we’re unveiling the Radioactive Zombie (Jumper)—a special enemy that will keep you on your toes with a whole new level of challenge.

And behind the scenes, our level design team is hard at work crafting immersive, atmospheric environments that will bring Projekt Z to life when you finally step into the world. Stay tuned as we continue to push forward—there’s much more to come!

By the way, here's our latest trailer, which aired during the Indie Horror Showcase in October.
Weapon Update
In our last update, we introduced three new weapons: the Kar98, the M1897 shotgun, and the versatile Gustloff 206, each adding fresh tactical options for different play styles. This time, we’re excited to reveal even more firepower that’s sure to shake things up on the island!

First, meet the AS44, a reliable assault rifle with impressive versatility. It’s designed to handle both close-quarters combat and mid-range engagements, giving you the flexibility to adapt on the fly and keep enemies at a distance or take them head-on.

Next, the MG42—a rapid-fire machine gun with a reputation for its sheer power and high rate of fire. This weapon is perfect for players who want to lay down suppressing fire and control choke points. Mastering the MG42 will allow you to hold your ground and turn the tide of any engagement.

And for players looking to get up close and personal, we’re also introducing our very first melee weapon! With this new addition, you’ll have the opportunity to engage zombies at close range in an entirely new way, making stealthy approaches and tactical ambushes more viable than ever.

With these powerful new weapons, your options in combat are expanding like never before. We can’t wait to see how you’ll wield the AS44, MG42, and the melee weapon in your strategy!

  • AS-44
The AS-44 (Avtomat Sudayeva, Russian: Автома́т Суда́ева, АС-44) is a series of prototype Soviet assault rifles designed and developed by Alexey Sudayev in 1944—1945, they were produced in limited numbers and tested in 1944—1945, but its development ended in 1946 due to the death of its designer.

  • MG42
The MG 42 (shortened from German: Maschinengewehr 42, or "machine gun 42") is a German recoil-operated air-cooled general-purpose machine gun used extensively by the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS during the second half of World War II. Entering production in 1942, it was intended to supplement and replace the earlier MG 34, which was more expensive and took much longer to produce, but both weapons were produced until the end of World War II.

    (Yes, it can overheat!)

  • Tableleg
Introducing the Table Leg, our first melee weapon! This rugged, improvised weapon is perfect for close-quarters zombie takedowns, adding a brutal, hands-on approach to your survival arsenal.
Zombie Update
Following our recent trailers, we received a lot of feedback about our Grunt zombies—specifically, that there are just too many Officers roaming around. We couldn’t agree more! So, we jumped right into action and created a new variant of the Grunt to balance things out.

Along with introducing this fresh take on the Grunt, we're excited to unveil something even more unique: one of our special zombies, the Radioactive Zombie, also known as the Jumper. This distinctive enemy will add a whole new level of challenge and excitement to your encounters.
