3.1.3.4 [Emergency Agartha Fix]

This will be available for download on Steam within 10 minutes of this post. Please stand by, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

3.1.3.4 [Build #63, Release Date: April 09, 2020]
Fixes:
- Deployed an emergency fix to the Shield fight in Agartha involving a change in the battle’s structure and the triggers used within. Previously, the game became frozen immediately following the fight. This patch resolves that specific issue. It is likely this was caused by the 3.1.3 skills being used in combat at all, but it could have been caused by the 3.1.3.3 minor change in the fight’s structure.

3.1.3.3 [Build #62, ActSeq Battle Fixes]

This week, a ton of work went into the new Lvell zones. As of right now, only guard NPCs have been made and placed. The interior of each structure is the current focus. However, it became apparent that I need to make a brand new trailer for the Steam Store page, so my focus shifted for the day. While gathering footage for the trailer, I came across a few issues that were missed from the addition of the new skills. The short story is: some of the battles in CoA, mostly "boss" style battles, use end of turn or even death attacks. These scripts interfere with the disappearing effect of the new attacks. For instance, Alex's Arcane Missile if it were to kill the Shield enemy in Agartha would cause the text boxes to be unreadable and members of the party to not appear until after Crash was used. A temporary fix for -some- of these issues is now in place, but a full playthrough of the game is necessary on my part to determine need-to-fix locations. In the meantime, I'll have to fix these on an as-I-notice-them basis. Feel free to report any oddities you may uncover!

Upcoming:
3.1.4 will bring about the opening of the new Lvell zone, containing base dialogue and vendors for start-of-game and return to Lvell via Rabbit's Foot checkpoints. From there, 3.1.4.x will expand on the new zone, including quest additions to The Phoenix Ash and other things I'm both not sure of yet and not ready to reveal yet. Once the new Lvell zone is on par with other zones for the time being, 3.1.5 will come bringing the first elemental resistance technologies. It won't be possible for me to handle them as I originally planned, so instead of permanent aura's, we will be working with usable items similar to those available from StarSpear.

3.1.3.3 [Build #62, Release Date: April 09, 2020] New:
- More data files have been added for the new Lvell zone. This zone is not yet accessible.
Fixes:
- Quest Log plugin code removed from Rabbit’s Foot intro quest.
- Quest Log plugin code removed from Caravan Dan sidequest.
- The An’rim Operant now uses a different switch to trigger completion. If you have defeated it but have not yet returned to the Rabbit’s Foot, you will need to return to Den An’ura and defeat it again to trigger the new switch.
- Fixed display issues during the Defense Matrix battle resulting from the new skills added in 3.1.3.
- Fixed display issues during the An’rim battle resulting from the new skills.
-- The fix involves both an ally and an enemy using a hidden skill “Reveal” – which is why you will see Alex perform a “cast” animation but not do anything. If Alex is dead when Reveal should trigger, visual issues may persist.
- Alex now learns Arcane Missile at Level 6.
- Riley now learns Uppercut at Level 1.
- Miles now learns Blitz at Level 1.
Changes:
- Battles from the Rabbit’s Foot intro quest now trigger on player contact and track Ruby aggressively.
- Battles during the Caravan Dan sidequest now trigger on player contact.
- The An’rim Operant battle now triggers on contact.
Known Issues:
- Oddities in the display may occur from Arcane Missile if the enemy summons an ally on death and that ally attacks immediately (example: An’rim battle). Battle structure repairs are ongoing.
- [Be on the lookout!] – If any battles have issues of any kind using the new skills added in 3.1.3, please reach out to me ASAP via Facebook, Discord, or discussion board on Steam!

3.1.3.2 [Build #61, Release Date: April 05, 2020] [Unlisted] Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with the Frost Forest chest giving an unknown item.
- Fixed random chest loot common event for all dungeon chests.
- Added the “Deprecated Item” to all affected item slots. This version of Deprecated Item on use triggers a modified version of the Mystery Box. Use it before it’s gone!

3.1.3 [Build #60 Notes]

I've been meaning to do this for a long time... but I finally added the first few skills that do more than just slash. Each character now has a new level 1 skill, but for players who already have save files - you will need to pick it up from the Delivery Boy in the entryway of Auria.

Also; the Frostfire Set is available! Each pieces requires 10 Congealed Fire and 10 Congealed Frost to be purchased in addition to their gold cost.

3.1.3 [Build #60, Release Date: April 04, 2020] Important Notes:
- The Equipment Grading System outlined in 3.1.2.2 is now in effect moving forward! A complete explanation video guide is currently in the works.
- No differentiation will be made from here on out between start of game state and post Inn Scene checkpoint state. For upper level content moving forward, it’s safe to say it will only be available from beyond the Inn Scene / Orc War trigger unless otherwise specified. This does not include changes to terrain which are usually universal.
New:
- Data for the new 15 Point Replica Set is now in game.
- The 55 Point Frostfire Set is now available from StarSpear in The Black Forest.
- Each member of the party has a new low-level ability. For players who already have save files, talking to the Delivery Boy will add these skills.
-- Each of these skills has a 33% variance and the chance to critically hit.
Changes:
- Ruby’s Stance abilities have been removed from her level up tree. Their data remains in game pending a touch-up. Talking to the Delivery Boy will remove these skills if Ruby has already learned them.
- The “Development Notes” section of 3.1.2.2 has been removed from the “x. Patch Notes” text file.
- The bottom of the “x. Patch Notes” file has been revised to reflect a four-number patch note system.
- The Delivery Boy in Auria is now available in the Auria/Entrance to Market Town zone in addition to the expanded Auria/Entrance.
Other
- The "x. Patch Notes" file currently houses a brief roadmap of planned update releases. These are subject to change.

3.1.2.2 [Build #59, Release Date: April 02, 2020]

Patch notes plus an inside look on what's coming up. Have a look!

3.1.2.2 [Build #59, Release Date: April 02, 2020] New:
- A mysterious vendor has made her way into The Black Forest! Be on the lookout as her stock changes from time to time. In addition to gold, she sometimes requires items for trading. Her current stock focuses on item enchantments.
Changes:
- Frostbrood units now have a chance to drop Frostbrood Tokens.
- Gazers, Bubbles and Slimes now have a chance to drop Congealed Element.
- Changed the movement frequency and speed of world-spawn Orcs.

Development Notes (Future Additions): - “Frostfire” Set
-- A new armor set with resistances to Fire and Ice is in the last stages of tweaking and will be available at the Black Forest vendor in (hopefully) the next update. Additionally, a new weapon type will be available for one of the party members at the same vendor. This set, in addition to gold, will require Congealed Fire and Congealed Frost to purchase.
-- Most of the data for this set is already finished and was released with this build.

- Equipment Grading System:
-- A new system is currently in development to make armor and weapons easier to inject into the game by grading entire sets with a point value and then distributing those point values percentagewise across the equipment slots. The working model distributes a set’s points by: 20% Head, 50% Chest, 10% Glove, 10% Boot, 10% Back. Additionally, this is further modified by equipment types with each stat (ATK/DEF/MAT/MDF/AGI/LUK/MHP/MMP) having a multiplier based on whether the piece of gear is Cloth, Leather, Mail, or Plate.
--- Example: A “25 point” def/mdf set would distribute 5 points to the headpiece, which would then divide those points with 70% (or 3.5 points) going to Defense and 30% (or 1.5 points) going to Magic Defense. These numbers would be further adjusted based on whatever the multiplier for each fabric type ends up being, which if Cloth had a 1* multiplier for Defense would result in 3.5 going into DEF, but a 0.5* multiplier for magic defense resulting in 0.75 going into MDF.
--- NOTE1: The actual multiplier values for each stat relative to the equipment fabric type will be published alongside this system’s initial release with pictures or a tutorial video to make it significantly easier to understand.
--- NOTE2: The point value of sets will be released on a case by case basis, but it would be up to the players to figure out what the distribution would actually be, or simply pick up the items in game when available.
--- NOTE3: This system will not function retroactively for sets already in the game. Aka; no current items in game will have their values changed.

- Lvell Expansion:
-- A new section of Lvell is coming in an update soon which will feature 7 new structures, one of which is Lvell’s own Hunter Lodge! The Phoenix Ash will function similarly to the Rabbit’s Foot with quests that progress in level, difficulty, and complexity. The rewards are not yet set in stone, but Hunter Tokens will still come at the end of each quest and a vendor will be present to accept them in exchange for Phoenix Ash specific items and gear.
-- Most of the data for this new section of the city has been released into the game with this build but is currently inaccessible.

- An’ura Reconnaissance (Cont’d)
-- The new An’ura-based questline introduced in 3.2 is still in development. Without spoiling too much, the goal is to create a “dungeon” expansion of the Den with challenging enemies and a twist ending. Additionally, a new friend may make use of the Arrowheads (this will be the only mention of that. Ever.) Dungeons will likely feature menu lockouts and save points – a throwback to some of my most favorite games of all time.

- Hell’s Gate Ignited
-- A new Hell’s Gate based questline with a hub and spoke layout is in pre-planning stages. The quest will begin in Sha’ri (bottom-right city).

- The Orc War (Cont’d)
-- The main story is still being worked on in the background and will most likely begin to roll out after An’ura Recon has concluded. Once the player embarks on the Orc War questline, they will not be able to return to the current state of the game for a short while.

- Agartha Activities
-- The Pit’s extension to level 30 is in the planning stages pending main story enemy additions to the game.
-- There is no in-progress development regarding additions or changes to the Colosseum for the time being. Once the Orc War story is fully released, the next wave of Colosseum instances will enter development. From that point forward, these instances will be in some form of weekly rotation, with only one being available each week. The An’ura version will be brought to level 30 when it returns following the launch of the Scarlet version.
