Incredibly fast but unable to move while being watched by a bear!

Flying eyeball of death, has a few shadowbolts to corrupt those cute lil bastards.

Changes
  • New spooky map!

  • Legion's hit box reduced to half it's size.
  • Removed ability to kick DEVs from games (you cheeky people).
  • Raised spawning locations of Oculus' ultimate.
  • Reworked mouse sensitivity
  • You now get points for Guarding a bear that's turning.
  • You now get extra points for saving a bear that's almost fully turned.
  • Closed off collision in Forgotten Ruins.
  • Made bears' bodies disappear once they've reached the Light Pool.
  • Added a sound for the Jump Portals (Enabled/Disabled/Used).
  • Added Nether Portals to each level that had high points that were out of reach from the Shadow.
  • Added extra collision in Hellscape to fix some spots that the Shadow was getting stuck in.
  • Added Particle FX for the Jump Portal.
  • Added Particle FX for escaping through the Light Pool.
  • Philosophized about existential caffeine related problems.
  • Checked my bank account to see if I could buy a Wingstop franchise yet.


Also, unless we are uploading a hotfix our update days will be on Mondays around 1-2 AM MST from now on :)

V 1.0D Patch Update



He thinks he's hidden!


We've got some sexy fixes/adjustments for you all!

Changes
  • Fixed a weird collision spot in Yule Town
  • Fixed a bug where hiding spots and interactive objects were not showing the proper keybinding
  • Fixed a bad spawn point in Hellscape that was preventing teleporting after save
  • Settings screen is fully scale-able and should work 99.99% of the time with weird resolutions (we tested this a bunch with weird resolutions, let us know if it breaks for you)
  • Kicking a player will now prevent them from rejoining you
  • Removed the ability to move or taunt during shadow waiting screen
  • Made back button in host game menu close the host game menu
  • Chat no longer gets erased when the game state changes
  • Adjusted netcode to give high priority to tagging/saving
  • Adjusted netcode to give high priority to escaping through the light pool
  • Reworked the projectile from Oculus Malus to be smoother on high latency clients
  • Reworked the projectile from Imperator to be smoother on high latency clients
  • Reworked the projectile from Terror to be smoother on high latency clients
  • Added a camera check tick to help fight camera breaking bug
  • Disabled particles from steps while crouched (no more blinding snow)
  • Oculus Malus' shadow bolts move slower but fire sooner
  • Players are now notified if the host closes the lobby properly (doesn't detect if the host force closes the game yet)
  • Added a 15 second delay once 2 players are detected before round starts
  • Added a transition screen between maps
  • Added a toggled crouch button (default is C, can be changed though)
  • Added hints to the shadow waiting screen
  • Wrote a change list
  • Did 5 push-ups

V1.0C Hotfix

Hey everyone!
We wanted to get a fix in for some of the really pressing issues!

First and foremost
Chat Censoring
This is designed to stop racist and/or homophobic slurs, normal swearing is not filtered out. If you see words slipping through please join our discord and let me know what word was used so I can add it to our list.

Second major thing
Shadow Selection Algorithm
We completely revamped the Shadow Selection Algorithm, there was a bug with our old system so we changed the way we did it completely. Now it fairly chooses who should be the shadow and tracks between maps properly!

Last major thing
Server Passwords
DLC owners and anyone level 15 or above can now password lock their servers.

Minor Fixes
  • Now properly displays a message when shadow isn't selected in time
  • Now properly displays a message when shadow quits
  • Sound mixes are reset when the player returns to the lobby
  • Fixed the spelling of "refrigerator" (sorry guys i'm illiterate)
  • Scaled down settings menu so it should fit in small resolutions
  • Fixed "Get to the pool of light" sound not being affected by volume reduction
  • Disabled falling noise when the player is being corrupted
  • Removed the ability to try and kick yourself from the lobby (you silly people)
  • Fixed the spelling for "Quality" in settings (I tried to see if my spelling would catch on.... it didn't... it's fine)
  • Fixed a host seeing the "You were kicked" after kicking a player
  • Fixed dialog boxes ganging up on the player and not leaving after you click ok once ( Dialog gangs are a serious issue plaguing players since the late
    90s)
  • Added art for Shadow Bears ability
  • Adjusted spawn code (haven't tested with a full server yet)
  • Fixed a floor you could walk through in Yule Town

V 1.0b Hot Fix

Hey everyone!

After hearing some concerns about not being able to level up, I have enabled leveling for free to play players. Cosmetics are still locked but now you can progress and if you choose to buy the Full Version DLC later on, your levels will carry over to it.

Also lowered falloff sound for bears falling and increased taunt cooldown time.
