Beyond the Curtains, a cozy idle game about watching the world through a window, is officially participating in the Steam Next Fest!
Thank you so much for following our progress — we've been working hard, and we're excited to share what's new.

Demo Update

We've pushed a major update to the demo just in time for Next Fest:

・Theme 1 — The Last Leaf: Most of the main content is now available, including several story phases and an ending.
　※ Some events and sound effects are still works in progress.

・Theme 2 — Scenic Tour: The opening section is now playable, along with an original track composed by artist Oli Jan specifically for this theme.

If you've played a previous version of the demo, there's a lot of new content waiting for you.

There are no tutorials, no objectives, just a window, some time, and whatever you make of it.

Users who already own A Light in the Dark can enjoy the game with professional Japanese voice actresses voicing the two main heroines of this game. Isn’t it about time to load up the game and enjoy the story of A Light in the Dark once more?

And for everyone who hasn’t picked it up yet, A Light in the Dark will on sale tomorrow at 10am with a 30% discount for one week to promote this major update!

Please Note: Since this update is based off of the console port, there are some things that users should keep in mind.

• After updating the game, you will be prompted on whether or not to copy over existing save data from the previous version of A Light in the Dark upon starting up the game
  
• If you don’t have any existing save data then this prompt will not appear upon startup
  
• The prompt to copy over existing save data will only appear the first time you start the game after applying the new update
  
• If you select ‘Yes’, the transfer process will start and you will be able to continue playing the game with your existing save data
  
• If you select ‘No’, the transfer process will not happen and you will need to start over with no save data
