It is a pleasure to announce that Gloomhaven will be participating to the first Steam Digital Tabletop Fest! In the spotlight, board games adapted in digital format. For the occasion, we prepared some special content to share with you, mercenaries.

Without further ado, discover in detail what we have planned for the event…





Meet Isaac Childres, designer and creator of the original board game who does us the honor of his presence for an epic online game! By his side, Julien, producer of the game at Asmodee Digital, with Craig, head of Flaming Fowl Studios. Welcome also MandatoryQuest, Gloomhaven’s content creator on YouTube and Twitch. You won't find a more qualified team to clean up your dungeons. Get ready to rock with legends!

For the needs of the event, the video you will watch has been previously recorded from home with everyone. We will be present in the chat to discuss the session with you!

We have great news for you today!
Online co-op multiplayer mode is now available, a new mercenary can be unlocked and much more! Enemies, biomes, items … Discover the new update in our trailer:

First, the release of the online co-op mode! Highly requested by the community, this feature is now yours. Fight alongside your friends up to 4 players and defeat your enemies!

We are very proud to be able to offer you a stable and complete version of the multiplayer co-op mode! Thanks to your feedback and involvement, we were able to resolve a high number of bugs. Thank you very much for your help. You worked hard for it, so don't wait any longer and dive into the adventure with your friends!

For those who wish to meet players and fellow travelers to go hunting, our official discord remains the best place to meet people! A dedicated channel has been created, where you can meet other players to play with. A tall and strong mercenary or a discreet and cunning assassin, you will certainly find the person you are looking for! To join our discord, click here and visit the #multiplayer_text_chat channel.

Remember! The game is still in Early Access, and encountering bugs is commonplace. If you want to help us solve them, you are welcome on our official discord or on our dedicated platform here.



We are also welcoming a brand new mercenary! For all the board game players here, have you already guessed it?! Advance in the adventure to unlock this new mysterious character. Complete its story missions, learn about its past and convince it to join your Guild. Don't be fooled by its apparent softness, you will be wiped out in a snap …

To all the mercenaries out there who wish to brave the spoilers, and discover this new character, here it is:
Her big eyes and soft voice might have already convinced you: the Soothsinger is now available!





Kill one, ten more will appear.
Once more, terrible enemies have joined the fight and are lurking in the shadows, waiting for a distracted and naive adventurer. But we know you are not this kind of mercenary. You are a professional. To help you in your quest, check the list of the gloomy creatures you will encounter from now on:

As your Guild has grown in popularity more clients are requesting jobs from you, a slew of new missions is now available. You’ll have plenty of work to do, Guildmaster! Your efforts and victories have not gone unnoticed in the area, and here are 25 new missions available for you:

• 7 new story missions, in search of a mysterious adventurer missing seeking for revenge.
  
• 8 relic-jobs missions, for treasure hunters …
  
• 10 journey missions, to restore peace among the roads and unlock new areas on the map!

Death is all that awaits you in the gloom …

"How good it was to meet at your favorite table at the Sleeping Lion's Inn! Several mugs in hand, you manage to make your way through the mercenaries and locals who were feasting for whatever reason the beer gave them. Once you reached your table, you found your group of mercenaries counting the gold coins collected during your mission. An entire dungeon of bandits nullified—no survivors—and pockets full of gold coins, this is why you raise a glass tonight.”



The feature you've all been waiting for is now available on the open beta branch! Go for it now and join the open beta to test the online co-op mode!
The online co-op mode allows you to play online with your companions, train your group of mercenaries and set off against the hordes of enemies that inhabit the world of Gloomhaven. You will need to show strategy, cohesion and teamwork if you hope to triumph over your enemies.

As it is still in beta, prepare to face enemies of all kinds including … bugs! The goal of this open beta is to gather your feedback, your experiences and the potential bugs encountered in order to improve and refine, among other things, the stability of this new feature.

To find the open beta version of the game:

• Right click on Gloomhaven in your Steam library
  
• Select properties
  
• Go to the betas tab
  
• Select the Open Beta branch included in that dropdown list
  
• Wait for your game to update
  

By default, this new build will create a separate, new save file.


To launch an online game:

• Load a save game
  
• Click on “escape” and select “Multiplayer”
  
• You’re now the host of this game!
  
• Share the code with your friends, or add your Steam friends to the party
  
• Click on “Join the session” to enter the code and you will be added to the game
  

Please note that every party member can keep a save of the current game, and continue to play without the initial host. Also, any of your friends can join the game, at any time.


Thank you for your patience while waiting for the online co-op mode. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do. Since it is still in open beta, we need your feedback in order to polish this feature so keep sharing your thoughts and the issues encountered along the way!
