Cardiac Event Recorder - Update #31 - Thirty eight monsters to love in total!

Heya Voids and Voidettes!

Another month, another update!

In this update we’ve added a new powerful final boss to love! This means now, there are 38 monsters in the game to love. I still remember playing the Alpha when there were only around about 8 monsters, I’m so proud of how far Veyerals (the dev) and The Void Rains Upon Her Heart has come. There’s also the fact that dreams can come true, that’s why we’ve also added nine new dreams too raising the total to an impressive 257 dreams to fulfill.

A lot of moving from version 4.4 to 4.5 was updating and tweaking systems. If you like or disagree with any additions or changes please do post below or in the forums and we’ll respond to you in a timely manner. The full log as always is below containing every change.

Here’s the full list of changes we’ve made-

Early Access updated game version v4.4 -> v4.5

Content Added -

  • A new powerful final boss to love! (Total: 38).
  • One new song to go with this new battle.
  • 9 new Dreams to fulfill (Total: 257).
Updates and tweaks -

  • Improved the collisions system between your bullets and monsters so that multiple collisions are resolved per frame. (before, only one bullet collision was resolved per frame).
  • From now on, if you have unlocked nearly every available gift, but are missing found a few of them, those last few gifts will be much more likely to drop.
  • Battle scenes will no longer contribute toward monster records. (Eg. Lulu's tutorials will not count as an encounter with Unit Lulu).
  • Broken monster parts now fade away to make it more obvious that they are not a threat.
  • The music now loops in better places during certain battles with special music.
  • Syncron units change position a bit slower on lower levels.
  • Voltage Veyeral's volt balls absorb more damage, but cause damage to the main body when they break.
  • Some of Blot's paint turrets will now fire more randomly at level 10 only.
  • Amalga now holds the combo when moving.
  • Reduced the number of Lila's phantom attack waves at the highest levels from 5 to 4.
  • Slightly reduced the number of projectiles that Lila's purple phantoms burst out.
  • Reduced the speed of Lila's red phantoms when they attack in a zipper formation.
Bug Fixes -

  • Fixed a bug that would cause the hitbox of bouncy spike bullets to be slightly larger than intended at certain angles.
