[h2]New Event[/h2][p]This time I've added Ventra's bonding time event! And following my principle of "never use your work only one time" this is a variant on Molten Veyeral's event with the same crafting aspect. As usual, there are still a few character specific interactions I want to patch in later, but at least there aren't any placeholder lines this time. At least, there shouldn't be any.[/p][p]There isn't much else of note this time, but the engine was updated once again, so be on the lookout for any new bugs or hopefully not any crashes.[/p][h2]Content Added[/h2]

-Added 7 new dreams to fulfill (Total: 752)
-Adjusted the amounts of non-radiant medals required to complete quickplay dreams to give out rewards at a better pace
-Moved some event music unlocks to the new dreams, and shuffled around various unlocks for earning quickplay medals
-All the dreams for radiating monster cards have new icon art
-Bug Fix: Taking tetrid gifts from Voladrome's event would not automatically convert the mote gained into tetrids or update your run score until you cleared the next battle
-Bug Fix: The outlines on Amber's saw blades were sometimes the wrong size

GameMaker has updated, so there may be some new strange bugs introduced. The music files are also much larger now, but the music cutting problem that some people have had is hopefully fixed now. The game is still below 300mb which is microscopic by today's video game standards. It's just funny that nearly 2/3rds of the file size is music.

-Bug Fix: A visual bug that could show a 99% rating on minigames when hitting everything perfectly
-Bug Fix: Blessings could appear in Voladrome's event even if they are still locked for story mode
-Bug Fix: Gifts from the mites in Voladrome's event would count as a vault for the event's achievement
-Voladrome's event stat page now tracks gifts from vaults and mites separately
-Fixed some typos

[h2]New Event[/h2][p]This time it's Voladrome's turn to take you on another treasure hunt. Those Guardians sure like hunting for treasure! This event has you completing minigames in different locations for treasure keys. Many of the minigames from all the other bonding events can appear in this new event.

There is also something else! I secretly added it last year, but I just never formally announced it here. If you play on October 31st (in your time zone) then a special surprise will happen when you defeat any monster! If you miss it, or just want to experience it on a different day, then there is a secret code you can input on the title screen. It's the same code as dropping a 500kg bomb in Helldivers 2. [h2]New Rules for Quickplay[/h2][p]It's been a while since I've missed an entire month for a main update, but I had to put this one in beta for a few weeks. The main focus of this update is the Quickplay equipping system. More specifically, it's adjustments to how many gifts you can equip before having a score penalty.[/p][p]The old rules were very simple, but also made it very difficult to balance both the gifts and the different characters. Every star was weighted the exact same, so there were many gifts that were just clearly better than other. There were also a lot of utility gifts that cost way too much for how useful they are.[/p][p]Now every gift and character has their own power values. It actually uses the same "Love Power" system that was added to the endless mode, but with slightly different rules that make sense for Quickplay specifically. For example, equipping denial shields or chrome hearts will cost a high amount of power in Quickplay since they protect your combo when you get hit, and the mode is all about getting perfect scores. There is also no longer a hard limit on how many panics you can equip, but they are quite expensive![/p][p]This should also solve a few problems that newer players run into. It's very common for a new player to equip gifts that aren't their best available options for DPS. Well now those gifts will fill less of the power bar allowing them to equip more gifts. There are still ways to min max the system, but the difference between a perfect optimal build and one that isn't will be much narrower.[/p][p]I've also rebalanced helpers and the characters that specialize in using helpers. There are now so many ways to gain helpers than I originally had in mind back when their damage values were set. I've even just added more helper gifts in this update, so I think it was time to rebalance the numbers a bit.[/p][h2]Content Added[/h2]

  • [p]Score reduction is now tied to a love power bar instead of amount of stars and panics equipped[/p]
  • [p]The max level for the "Power Stars" upgrade has been increased from 16 to 20[/p]
  • [p]The "Panic Limit" upgrades have been removed since they no longer apply (any ranks you've bought will be added to stars)[/p]
  • [p]The "Power Limit" upgrade has been changed and the max level was increased from 1 to 5 (If you bought the old version you will automatically be at level 4)[/p]
  • [p]Rank requirements for several upgrade levels have been adjusted to make room for the new ones[/p]
[h2]Helper Changes[/h2]
  • [p]The base damage of most helpers has been reduced by around 20%[/p]
  • [p]Rebalanced the scaling of Friend Beam charged attack from helper DPS[/p]
  • [p]Helpers will no longer reduce their fire rates while a Friend Beam is active[/p]
  • [p]Helpers can now fire critical shots and are affected by general crit rate gifts[/p]
  • [p]All general crit rate gifts can now be found by Alter Twins[/p]
[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • [p]In Endless mode, some Quick Gifts would incorrectly reroll bosses and gifts that they aren't supposed to if you use them after just loading a suspended run[/p]
  • [p]During Molten Veyeral's event, the Veyeral Blink game could have an unselectable answer of 10 if Blue Veyeral was added to 9 other veyerals with red eyes[/p]
