Hey all!

It's been a long time since we've updated the game and a lot has changed! We really wanted to focus on all the bugs you've all found so far, so we made an effort to improve the quality of life bugs! We do hope you've been enjoying the game so far, so please let us know how the update is! And if you've found any more pesky bugs!

Fixes and Changes


  • Two new missions added.

  • Settings have now been added.
    Low spec machines can now change their settings by pressing Esc and navigating to the settings panel. it's a bit rough at the moment but we'll be adding more options over time!

  • You can now view Pandora's stats in the pause menu. This includes her strength and health along with how much exp you need to level up.


  • Inventory items now show in the inventory section. Picking up scrolls and treasure from chests will automatically go there.
    (There's also a bug were look at fixing which duplicates inventory text on another item.)

  • You can now close the treasure chest menu with the mouse on the cross button or by pressing escape.
    We finally fixed it!!

  • You can now scroll the chests/scrolls popup.

  • Various level design fixes with collision. You'll mostly notice this on the stairs when going up them.

  • Updated a new area above Kome village with new monsters and temples and caves added.


  • Updated scrolls added around the map.

  • Fixed a bug with the main menu showing continue even if the player did not have a save.

  • Mission text updated to reflect the mission correctly.

  • Pig gate adjusted so the player can get out on the pig.

  • NPCs have been swapped in and assigned to the correct NPCs.

  • Temple area adjusted to have an updated front.


  • You can now enter the temple area. New mission in here and we'll be adding more to this location soon.

  • Fishing market area should now be accessible.
    Before the player couldn't access this area. Check it out!!

  • Adjusted the water for performance issues.

Patch Notes 0.2

Hey all!

We hope you've been enjoying the game so far! We're here again with a few bug fixes and content changes. We've been focusing a lot on gameplay modifications and updating the landscape.

We'll be posting a developer post that will go more into what we've been doing and plan to do.

Fixes and Changes


  • New characters added around Kome.
  • New monster, Cyclops, will appear in missions going forward. Can you spot them in their new cave?
  • New umbrella texture added. This now fits better with Pandora's helmet.
  • Friend now has a name. Theo!
  • Theo's textures have been changed. He had the same as Poseidon.
  • Missions objectives have been made more clear.
  • Temple area is now accessible. And it has also been remade!
  • Attacks have been shifted to deal slightly more damage. Monsters have also had their health adjusted.
  • Objective destinations have been altered slightly on the map.
  • Tutorials don't pause the player now.
  • General level cleanup. Assets going through one another. Added more nature particles around Kome.
  • Various performance fixes.

Patch Notes 0.1

Hey everyone,

We hope you've been enjoying the game so far! We're back again with a few small changes that have been requested from the community over the past couple of days. We've been focusing a lot on gameplay changes and bug fixing the glaring issues in the current build.

Keep an eye out for our dev post which will go deeper into what we're planning for Pandora in the future.


Fixes


  • Added randomness to racers and sped them up.
  • Added in an opening cutscene about the story of the Gods.
  • Pause screen now added with the controls
  • Pause screen added to quit the game
  • Fixed up level design issues with the village.
  • Updated the VFX for levelling up.
  • Updated the VFX for healing.
  • Added the LB button to show you can open your magic menu.
  • Updated Pandora's combos attacks. There's now variety.
  • Updated the umbrella design.
  • Updated the quest objectives.
  • Updated the puzzles.
  • Combos should correctly alternate

Early Access Launching This Tuesday!

Hey there everyone,

It's been a long journey, but we're finally here! Pandora: Chains of Chaos will launch into Early Access this Tuesday! Pandora will go on sale for $2.99 with the artbook alongside it a few days later.

Pandora is a game about platforming with your umbrella, fighting alongside Greek Gods, and running around the environment fighting monsters! We've got a simple combat system currently which we will be updating real soon! You'll be able to access different types of combat with different umbrellas Pandora gains from the Gods. Our story can be found in different forms. Not just by the main missions but also the scrolls you'll find around the world and in treasure chests.

Now that you all know a little more about Pandora, it's time to tell you all about Party Llama Games!

Pandora was very much created as a portfolio piece for many of the team members around 4 years ago. It was something the team wanted to use to get into the video games industry and learn more about creating a game. Over the past year, we really focused and buckled down as a team to make Pandora into more than just a personal project for each of us. The ideas we began with, we wanted to flesh these out into something bigger! Something everyone could play and experience!

Our team is made up of 10 people who have been around on the project for a long time. Most of us have full-time jobs or freelance as we make Pandora on the side. We know a few of you have confused us as being a full-time studio! Not yet, but hopefully one day! Pandora is something we're all very passionate about and love working on.

Our plan for Pandora: Chains of Chaos is to continue to polish the game and flesh out the environment, story, and combat. Don't worry, we plan on supporting Pandora for a long time. Bear with us while we fix the bugs, and use your feedback on updating the game.

Once the game launches we'll be focusing on making sure the story continues and we'll be focusing on the combat as well as finishing up adding in our UI as well. We can't wait to add more and more to the game for you all to play (and find bugs!).

We can't wait for you to try Pandora and follow us on our journey!

Pandora Gameplay Update

Hello Lil Llamas!

It's been a long time since we've given an update, but we have a great update for you all. busy. We promise. And we can show you our update gameplay video!

One of the biggest things that have changed in the latest version is the art style. You can see we've chosen brighter colours and strong contrast. We feel it brings out the uniqueness of the world out where the characters can stand out a lot more. Let us know your feedback, we'd love to know what you think!

Over time, we started to realise that making the game in the blueprint was something that wouldn't work long term. Especially for performance. Over the past 6 months, we've been swapping over the old blueprint to code. This has also allowed us to rework some systems, but also to think about the direction of the gameplay. While we've kept most of the gameplay the same, we have introduced some new mechanics and updating the combat to be more interesting. You can see the seeds of this in the video above. Over the next few months we'll be showing more of these systems when they come to life. Some of them are:

Magic
Each magic ability does something different rather then just causing damage.

  • Lighting - Stuns one enemy on the battlefield
  • This goes to all enemies in the area of the target when use the ultimate.
  • Water - Heals Pandora for 30%
  • This % can be increased by skill points on the tree.
  • Using the ultimate would cause for this to expand to other members of the party.
