Up Close and Personal!

Hello Everyone,

We are still on a bit of a high after finally launching EvilVEvil this last week! Some of you have been asking what “Season 01” is all about, so we wanted to share some more information about our plans for the forthcoming Season 02 of EvilVEvil. We are calling it, “Up Close and Personal.”

For Season 02, our focus was to add more variety, more replayability, and new ways to experience the game overall. Our current plans include…

  • Launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S
  • An all-new game mode called, called “Arena Mode”
  • 3 new characters, each with their own abilities and unique skins
  • 5 new weapons as part of paid DLC packs that are playable for all characters.

As always, details are subject to change as we get through development. Let’s break these down one at a time and dig into the details.

CONSOLE SUPPORT
With the launch of Season 02, we will be launching EvilVEvil on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.

ARENA MODE
Arena Mode is an all new mode that is built around the idea of giving our players a new challenge where they try to achieve the highest possible combo score as a team during a series of short and intense battles.

The arenas are taken from our favorite parts of the existing levels, but slightly modified for Arena Mode. Every run will take you through a number of sites and the challenge can be completed in 15-20 minutes… if you survive. The better you do, the more difficult it gets and the better your bragging rights become.

We are aiming for around a dozen arenas to check out in Season 02 - Up Close and Personal. We hope you love the condensed battle madness as much as we do and we will check in with you to see what you think of this mode for future seasons!

NEW CHARACTERS
In addition to an all-new game mode, we also wanted to create more ways to enjoy the Season 01 content, with fresh characters, new abilities, and more possibilities for crazy team compositions.

We will share more information in the future as we get closer to the launch of Season 02, so this is just a teaser of one of our new playable characters…

Hellena - Hellena is a traveler and a scholar, who has wandered the earth for centuries. Her journey began in Africa in the early 12th century, when she was attacked and left for dead by feral vampires. She used her knowledge of nature and the elements to survive, and later turned. With her newfound power she exacted revenge on her assailants and began exploring life as a vampire.

Over the years her knowledge of natural magic has deepened and her connection to the dark sides of nature grants her tremendous power. She respects the power of nature more than anything and has an admiration for all animals, even humans. Rather than stand in opposition with the human race, she would have them educated and guided to better understand nature’s power and their place in it.

Hellena’s abilities allow her to step between dimensions and unleash waves of ravens to distract her foes. Hellena is extremely adept at keeping her teammates alive, even under heavy fire.

NEW WEAPONS
Getting your hands on some new hardware can make all of the difference when it comes to sending demons back to hell. These new pieces will give your arsenal a new feel when you land in those arenas and just might keep you alive a bit longer.

  • Breya Cascade - A kinetic assault rifle with a tendency for critical hits.
  • Breya Stream - The smallest kinetic machine pistol in the game with an insanely high rate of fire, great for agile builds.
  • Caretta 9M - A kinetic semi auto pistol with a semi-auto rate of fire and high damage output.
  • Saber Bolt - A solar revolver, relatively slow firing, but it makes up for it with damage per hit.
  • Saber Storm - A solar light machine gun. Obviously a bit heavier than the other guns, but more than capable to solve any demonic infestation as long as you aim in the general direction of the problematic being.

In addition to all of the above, we will also have a list of quality of life improvements coming with the Season 02 update based on player feedback. Again, just a note that the above is based on our current plans, but details are always subject to change as we finalize development.

Please let us know your thoughts, what you are loving about EvilvEvil, and what you want to see more of in future updates!
