1.2.0 - Major Update - Frostfall Festival Seasonal Event!
Happy Holidays and Merry Frostfall from the Kindred Games team!
We're so excited to announce this HUGE update! 1.2.0 is now live and so much comes with it.
I know we took a bit of time to get this update out, but it's because we wanted to deliver some game-changing updates to streamline questing, update the inventory to work better with the gameplay and much, much more.
The most notable change though might be the Frostfall Festival Seasonal Update! We know everyone loved the Witch's Eve event so we thought why not outdo that event and bring a whole new area to the game, new NPC's, new quests and more new weapons and items.
But then we went one step further and introduced the very first boss to Swords 'n Magic and Stuff.
We can't wait for you to see what's in store for you.
Before we get to the patch notes though I want to apologize in advance for any lost items you may come across in this update. In order to keep things clean going forward with our new systems, many items were renamed, resulting in broken items. We did, however, take this into account and set up a system to hopefully transition your items into the new system, but we may have missed some and the system isn't perfect.
If an item was removed you'll be granted a bit of love from the dev team (worth some gold) so you can recoup your losses in gold. Sorry about your diamonds.
We also refunded your purchased bank slots with these hearts.

- Quest system overhaul
- Arrows are now consumed and add damage to the bow’s base
- Ranged weapons have infinite base ammo
- Upgrade benches are no longer usable
- When using ranged weapons, camera offsets so you can see where you are shooting
- Door physics removed for network performance reasons - polish coming soon!
- Mushrooms moved to central location
- Removed gardening shop; items changed
- Some shops have changed
- Dodge rolling now properly reduces character’s height to roll under low areas
- Ladders are now easier to climb
- Minor performance improvements
- Gave staves more damage or faster cast speed
- Slingshots are now one handed
- Upgrading weapons increases crit chance and damage
- Some items have had price reductions
- Upgrade materials have no current use, but will again soon
- NPC dialog now instant
- Storage chest will be going away
- Cannot add to the storage chest - Once you take an item out, you’ll need to store it elsewhere
Be sure to empty your storage chest! - it will disappear a couple of updates from now
Fixed:
- Ponds by waterfall are swimmable again
- Roll jump launch exploit removed
- Various stair collisions fixed
- Reticle multiplayer bug squashed
- Various bugs when riding on horses - Horses will be back soon!
