Fall Update v1.8.2.1

Hey adventurers!

This is a small update that removes Witch's Eve and fixes a bunch of bugs. Nothing too crazy. We're diving back into a few missing features from the Delver's Pass update, so expect some new content coming up soon!

Patch Notes:

New:
  • Removed the Witch’s Eve event


Fixed:
  • Late Archdruids now have the proper names
  • Sheathed melee weapons and wands are now in the correct locations
  • Ebbon’s tower collisions fixed
  • Can no longer loot buried treasure until it’s fully dug up
  • Fixed a wardrobe issue that removed your outfit whenever you remove your hat or mask
  • Fixed a wardrobe issue that forced you into a combat stance when changing your look
  • Can no longer lure Deckan’s skeletons into the hallway
  • Deckan now attacks you properly when you talk to him
  • Verity the ferry captain has a name again
  • Hopefully fixed an issue with the explosives crate in Farmlands
  • Fixed some snapping issues with housing plots
  • Fixed an issue with a secret door in Windless Woods not working correctly in multiplayer
  • Naz properly vanishes now
  • Fixed some lazy villagers who didn’t want to give out candy (for next year’s Witch’s Eve)
  • Fixed a visual issue with a couple trinkets that were saying +20 instead of +4 for buffs
  • Fixed a floating plant in the Ravari village



Improved:
  • Talking to Kelch in the tutorial will remove your makeshift lockpick if a friend used theirs to get you out of the cell
  • Inventory search can now filter based on buffs/enhancements, item class (sword, consumable, ammo, staff, etc) and more
  • No longer log into the game in combat stance
  • Bears no longer spawn in tricky to maneuver locations

Witch's Eve 1.8.1.0

Welcome to this year's Witch's Eve event!

This event will last for only one week this year, so make it count! Be sure to visit Azura Island, Sleepy Haven, and Moonberry Farms for all of your spooky items!

This year we've introduced 8 new community designed Witch's Eve costumes for the community costume contest we held via our Discord! Check out the costumes in-game and pay your compliments for the amazing designs in our Discord if you like them. Luckily we didn't have to pick just one winner, so we picked all of our favorites. (Some of you even got multiple outfits in!)

Fixed:
  • Wall Vines no longer have a Sword level
  • Fireball now does proper damage
  • Steamcoil Cask no longer allows you to process items more than they should be processed
  • Steamcoil Cask no longer makes other inventories gray out

  • There is no longer a T-Posing mannequin in the tutorial
  • If you suffered from a long ago bug where you couldn’t do Valeria’s quest, you can now do it
  • Grabbing cauldrons in the graveyard no longer show timers

  • Items actually get removed from the recycling bin now
  • Bees have been banned from anger management classes
  • Killing the Stone Golem does open the mine again

  • Toxira now drops her stinger as intended
  • Search bar in inventory now clears when opening and closing the inventory
  • Snapping with architecture pieces has been fixed and no longer float off the ground
  • Cave of Cultist quest should be working as intended
  • Harper can get her bee hugs again
  • Weapons with Carry Capacity enhancements work as intended again
  • Poison Immunity now works as intended


Improved:
  • Bridges in Farmlands now have undersides
  • Wooden Spear is now one handed like all the other spears
  • Emeralite Lamp is now in collections
  • Delivering Dew can now be restarted if you lose your crate
  • Nightmare Mount now has a light source
  • Combat Axe animations no longer interrupt each other
  • Gold coins no longer go into the recycling bin - those villagers keep what they find
  • “For the Future” book is no longer written by “None”
  • When equipping a hunter weapon and a rogue weapon, they now sheath correctly
  • Shields now display correctly on Small Item Displays
  • Can no longer dismantle the mimic chest when there are items in it
  • Breakable pots in the Ravari camp now drop items
  • Penguin pet’s hats no longer have collisions


Hotfix 1.8.0.2

Just a quick fix to address a few minor and major bugs that popped up in the Delver's Pass update!

Fixed:
  • An issue with the recycle bins and finding dropped items
  • An issue with the recycle bin not being emptied properly for clients
  • Broderick at The Gate has just realized that the gate is open
  • The new cask item no longer randomly locks/filters your inventory while looking in chests
  • Barbershops and wardrove menu has correct menu placement
  • Secret buried treasure now highlights appropriately when dug up
  • The wheel puzzles now sync correctly for all players
  • Various typos and spelling mistakes
  • Boulder now repeats the important parts about his plans
  • Moved all enemy level calculation to be determined by your highest level, not average level
  • Stable masters have been called back in to work
  • Moved a problematic bear away from an anchor shrine
  • Daru and other guards are no longer level 0
  • Various merchants no longer have "NPCName" as their name
  • Fixed an issue with the Litter Bugs quest log info
  • Fixed the broken lever in the Ancient Crab cave on Castaway Rock
  • The stone golem in Farmlands now has a boss health bar

Delver's Pass Update 1.8.0

Adventure awaits in the mountainous region of Delver's Pass!

Head through The Gate in Windless Woods once you've cleared the corruption to heed the call of adventure! Step foot into Delver's Pass, a beautiful mountain zone filled with lush pine trees, wild blackberries, hot springs and steam vents you can use to propel you to new heights!

I won't spoil any more about the new zone for all of you who want to experience it for yourself. But for those of you who want to know exactly what happened in this update, here are your patch notes:
Note: We've listed a few known issues that popped up recently that we haven't got around to fixing yet, but will be included in a patch in the very near future!

  • Dire Wolves are no longer immune to arrows
  • Boar hitboxes fixed
  • Clients can now see the name and details of items in the display case
  • Fixed some quest location mishaps
  • Conjure Swift Plume works correctly now
  • Gatekeeper’s eye no longer makes world-wide sounds when taking damage
  • Wasp Companion has finally figured out how combat works
  • Some quest item keys are now consumed during the quest so players don’t get stuck with them
  • Tracked quests will update correctly and remain when restarting the game
  • Character creation screen no longer says “Barbershop”


Improved:
  • Various map markers for quests
  • Taking damage while couched now un-crouches you
  • Removed “use” and other UI hints from collections to reduce confusion with the wardrobe change
  • Lit sticks/torches will no longer sheathe automatically
  • Various NPCs chalice icons removed after you complete their quest
  • Repositioned chat window to avoid interference with buff icons
  • Rebalanced all weapon damage
  • Rebalanced some enemy damage
  • Rebalanced some enemy health
  • Rebalanced some damage over time effects
  • Tutorial card for loadouts has been updated to reflect multiple loadouts
  • Lightning Strike now deals damage properly
  • Lightning Strike now deals bonus damage to wet enemies
  • Fire damage now deals significantly less damage to wet enemies (not yet working for players)
  • Two-handed weapons have received some much-needed love
  • Damage potential on weapons now shows stats for Masterwork version of the weapon
  • Dual wielding got a bit of a rework
  • Sleepy Haven Tavern should no longer have a queue to take the stairs
  • Various ladders have been fixed so you no longer get stuck (Hopefully)
  • Milo no longer teaches the player how to make planks
  • Bow damage received a huge buff
  • The Gate now has a sawmill
  • Spears have new animations and feel better to use
  • Spears are now all one handed
  • Processors now display their processing speed in a percentage (100% is normal)
  • Dodge roll is now affected by inventory weight
  • Wind Whirlers now work much better
  • Reduced magic cost of Raincloud and updated the spell to be far more efficient
  • Targ boss fight in tutorial now locks you into the fight
  • Rebalanced experience and leveling a bit (Still looking for feedback on this and making tweaks)


Known Issues:
  • Various NPC’s who’s names were replaced with “NPCName”
  • Various NPC’s and guards who are labeled as “Lvl 0”
  • Sometimes when aging food ingredients in the new Steamcoil Cask, it’ll lock your inventory while looking through other containers. (Opening and closing the container will fix this for now)
  • There’s a very needy Necromancer that won’t leave people alone
  • A few stablemasters and a couple shopkeepers are taking holiday right now

1.8.0 Update Delay

Hey everyone.

Today was meant to be the release of the new Delver's Pass update, but we ran into some last minute scheduling issues that we hadn't planned on.

Because of this we're officially delaying the update to this Friday, the 18th. If you were REALLY excited about the update and want more information, I highly recommend checking our our Discord
