CBL2025 April 27 – CN Region Highlights

Warlords, the first round of the CBL2025 Group Stage has concluded, and the matches were nothing short of exhilarating. Even days later, the thrill of the battlefield still lingers. In Conqueror’s Blade, there may be no real blood or smoke, but the roar of war cries echoes across the land. There may be no wounds or death, but the spirit of sacrifice and the courage to fight to the last breath are ever-present. Every participant has truly earned the title of Warlord.

Now, let’s dive into the highlights from the CN region battles—more match reports from other regions will follow soon.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
QIN vs LB: 2-0
One a former semifinalist, the other a devoted warrior fighting for the pride of Nebula M78—QIN and LB delivered a gripping clash in CBL2025!

In Round 1, QIN took the defensive stance. At the opening, they allowed LB to preserve one siege tower while destroying the other two, dragging the match into a five-minute countdown. LB advanced up the left tower to flank toward Point B, bypassing the main force at Point A. However, they underestimated QIN’s control of the nearby supply point. QIN quickly reinforced Point B via the short route, forcing losses on both sides. Despite even unit counts, LB shifted focus back to Point A—but were stalled by QIN’s defense until QIN's main force in Point B returned. QIN held strong and took the first win.

In round 2, roles reversed. LB opened boldly, sending large amount cavalry units beyond the gates to clash head-on. A series of sharp skirmishes followed. QIN, with well-coordinated trebuchets and unit rotations, and blocked LB’s retreat path to the city, splitting their forces and wiping them out. LB fell back to defend their base, abandoning Points A and B. With more artilleries and stronger units, QIN stormed the base and crushed the defenders—securing a clean 2-0 victory!

YZY vs BF: 2-0
One team reached the CBL2024 Top 8, the other returns to the stage for a second time. Both hail from the same server—but all camaraderie vanished as soon as stepping into the battlefield!

In round 1, BF deployed a heavy artillery lineup early, successfully neutralizing most of YZY’s siege towers. But this left BF with only few artillery units. Once YZY scaled the walls, BF couldn’t hold pressure and give up the right-side supply point too soon. After a brief standoff in the access to the base, YZY swiftly rotated the battle to the left-side supply point—an area more favorable to attackers. With precise trebuchet strikes and smart unit splits, YZY disrupted BF’s reinforcements and surged straight into the base for a textbook blitz victory.

In round 2, the attack and defence rotated. YZY dealt with siege tower more cautiously, conserving artillery to shift the focus toward the right-side supply point. BF tried to harass defenders with cavalry at the side gate—likely aiming to scatter their formation. Both sides then clashed in a massive fight in the plaza behind the gate. But BF faltered in unit synergy and positioning, allowing YZY’s cavalry to flank the rear and collapse BF’s backline. With a second wave of assault, YZY dominated the core battlefield and secured the win. Another clean 2-0. YZY marches on!

ZT vs ZTPQ: 2-0
This looked like a lopsided match—ZT, the reigning CBL2024 global champions, against the newly-formed squad ZTPQ. But under the new ruleset, could ZT rely on experience, or would ZTPQ pull off the upset? The first round is over, but the full story has yet to unfold.
In round 1, ZT launched the attack. Several Heroes advanced from the city bridge aiming for Point B, but with reinforcements lagging behind, they cautiously abandoned that approach to avoid early huge unit losses. After securing the wall via siege towers, ZT shifted strategy and captured both Points A and B from safer routes. Artillery duels followed, but soon ZT regrouped and struck the right-side supply point. ZTPQ lacked defensive force at key routes, allowing ZT’s cavalry to breach deep and wipe out defenders, inflicting major losses. Though ZTPQ repelled the first base assault, losing the rear supply point sealed their fate.

In round 2, roles reversed. The first clash once again erupted at Point C. ZTPQ, with early unit strength in number, broke in swiftly. However, ZT held firm under sustained support from ranged units. Despite higher unit loss than ZTPQ, ZT maintained control. With the supply point, they continually intercepted ZTPQ’s follow-up pushes, evening out unit counts and holding the line. Finally, ZT stood tall once again. Experience, discipline, and coordination—champion form from a champion team. Congrats to ZT!

KZ vs SDYL: 0-2
One a runner-up from 2024, the other a dominant force on their home server—when titans clash, strategy and steel collide. The battlefield? Harbour City. The result? A war to remember.

In round 1, the action began early with a fierce artillery duel during the siege tower phase. KZ, on defense, used their ranged units to pressure the towers relentlessly, while SDYL countered with trebuchets. Though some trebuchets missed, they still secured the left tower's wall breach on the second attempt. KZ, rushing too eagerly, exposed their ranged units to enemy fire—losing a key advantage before the main fight. Gathering at the base of the walls, SDYL baited KZ into overcommitting, then quickly switched targets. In a flash, they wiped out KZ's lineup. When KZ attempted a cavalry flank, they were cut down by Sunward Phalanx. SDYL widened the unit loss gap, then struck the left-side supply point with precision, breaking into the base to take round 1.

Round 2, now on defense, SDYL lacked ranged units but made up for it with smart positioning, methodical artillery placement, and textbook tower denial, consuming much trebuchet of KZ. KZ eventually claimed the walls—but before they could regroup, SDYL struck fast, surrounding and shredding unformed units in a brutal ambush. Despite this, KZ’s cavalry found a gap, punishing SDYL’s weak Pikeman coverage and pushing the fight to the base. With just over three minutes remaining, time became the enemy. KZ couldn’t secure the left-side supply point, and the final clash came in front of the base. A key misplay followed—KZ’s trebuchets targeted the base flag instead of suppressing SDYL’s front line. The moment slipped through their fingers. SDYL held the line and claimed a clean 2-0 victory!

More epic match breakdowns from other regions will follow—stay tuned! After a fierce first round, how will each team adjust? Will the favorites maintain their lead, or will new stars rise? The next chapter of CBL2025 is just beginning.

New Player Experience Improvements – So Veterans Will Never Stand Alone

Dear Warlords,

Many of you have told us that what makes the world of Conqueror’s Blade truly shine is not just the battles themselves, but the camaraderie forged in the heat of war. Whether it's the unflinching shield units in matched or ranked battles, the daring wall-scaling and supply-point captures in territory wars, the cunning placement of artillery, or the sea of house banners waving proudly across the world—these legendary feats, spoken over voice comms and written into the annals of countless campaigns, prove one thing above all: There’s no thrill like clashing blades with worthy foes—and no glory like winning battles.

However, after five years of evolution, many warlords have grown into seasoned veterans. A steady stream of new units, maps, mechanics, and features continues to enrich the Conqueror’s Blade ecosystem, offering fresh experiences and new challenges for those still fighting on the frontlines.

But at the same time, these additions can create obstacles for our new warlords—and for those seeking to return to the Conqueror’s Blade once more. Whether voiced passionately during community meetups or echoed across player discussions, we’ve heard your call: newcomers and returning warlords need a smoother path into the game.

“I invited a friend to play, and the moment they stepped into the capital, they were completely lost...”
“New players can’t even form a decent Unit lineup before giving up...”
“There are so many systems—I don’t even know which ones matter…”

Based on your feedback and suggestion, we've identified several key challenges faced by new and returning warlords:

 • Unlocking and upgrading units is too slow, making it hard to get battle-ready.

 • The capital is vast, but lacks clear direction—easy to get lost.

 • Weapon choices at the start are limited, restricting variety and exploration.

 • Unit tutorials aren’t intuitive, leaving new Warlords confused about each unit’s role.

 • The UI has grown complex—vital information is hard to find.

So we decided: no more half-measures. Led by our producers, we interviewed hundreds of Conqueror’s Blade content creators, drawing on their frontline experience helping new players. We partnered with multiple gaming platforms to conduct user research with thousands of people who had never played Conqueror’s Blade before. We ran hundreds of meetings, burned the midnight oil for weeks, and drafted plan after plan—all with one goal: to break down the barriers keeping new and returning warlords from joining the fight.

Of course, these long-standing issues won’t disappear overnight. But with the launch of our revamped onboarding experience and the brand-new May Wargames Fest, we’re taking the first step. Warlords, this is only the beginning. We’re fully committed to improving the path forward—for every new and returning warlord!

So—what exactly are we doing to support new warlords?

 • Streamlined unit tutorials up front, making it easier than ever to understand each unit’s role and how to play them effectively.

 • Unlocking the personal tent and other early-game features to keep new players from getting lost, while focusing attention on matched Battles and other core Conqueror’s Blade gameplay.

 • A completely redesigned lobby and UI—intuitive, accessible, and built to get you into battle faster.

 • More in-depth weapon tutorials, helping warlords experience every weapon type and discover what suits them best.

And that’s not all. The Wargames Fest is here! [30 Top-Tier Units], instantly playable—for free during the event!

You’re not behind. With a new character, you can unlock fully equipped units in under 20 minutes and enjoy fierce battles!
No more grind. Just pure war.

CBL: 4.28 Global Battle Report
EU – April 27

Match 1
WSS vs MS 2-0 Game 1 WSS showed their veteran strength on defense, controlling the pace from start to finish. MS launched wave after wave at A point, but WSS’s wall defense stood unbreakable. MS’s Artillery war of attrition failed. WSS sealed a clean shutout win. Game 2 On offense, WSS flowed like water, ripping through MS’s lines with a lightning advance. Tactical execution was ruthless — MS had no breathing room. Fast, crushing pressure locked the series at 2-0, showing complete strategic dominance.
Match 2
DOGS vs WLD 2-0 Game 1 DOGS seized tempo early with rapid pressure, shutting down WLD’s attack plans. In the defense-to-attack transitions, DOGS gave no openings, holding the walls tight. WLD’s repeated assaults broke against solid defenses. DOGS took the first win steadily. Game 2 At the city gate, a brutal tug-of-war unfolded. Long minutes of deadlock. DOGS finally caught a crack with superior teamwork, broke through cleanly, and locked the 2-0 win with overwhelming control.
Match 3
DL vs AYBS 2-0 Game 1 DL launched a triple-lane assault on Hidden City. AYBS dug in heavy at A point, creating a stalemate. DL struck with a lightning surge, smashing A and B points back-to-back. As they turned on the base, AYBS’s Artillery was exhausted. DL’s double-wing Cavalry flanked and encircled, sealing the victory. Game 2 On defense, DL showed sharp Artillery synergy, smashing AYBS’s Siege Towers and stalling momentum. After a bloody gate fight, DL tactically pulled back and held B point with tight positioning. In the final two minutes, they survived a desperate storm. Discipline sealed a second clean 2-0 sweep.
Match 4
FOW vs RJ 0-2 Game 1 FOW gambled, abandoning A point to punch straight for the main gate and Supply Point. RJ showed their third-place pedigree, counterattacking with a full Iron Reapers squad. The A point clash crushed FOW’s forces, and RJ locked in the first win during the shift to offense. Game 2 RJ’s lightning push smashed through A and B. FOW’s fallback defense couldn’t stop the momentum. RJ circled wide and hammered the base with overwhelming Units. Revival forces couldn’t hold. RJ ended it with a "multi-point breakthrough" and showcased absolute dominance with another 2-0.
AMS – April 28

Match 1
WM vs RAT 0-2 Game 1 WM’s Siege Tower push on the left was crushed by RAT’s precise counterfire. After losing Trebuchets, WM’s siege momentum collapsed. A desperate double-tower rush from the west failed, and their main gate assault shattered against RAT’s iron wall. RAT absorbed every threat, delivering a clean shutout with textbook city defense. Game 2 RAT pulled off a lone-tower siege miracle. Even with just one Siege Tower, they broke through to A point. The defenders shifted to B, only to be blasted by RAT’s Cannon fire. RAT’s west-side strike caught the repositioning mistake, wiping the core Units and collapsing defenses. RAT blitzed the base and crushed the game with overwhelming execution. 2-0, dark horse energy unleashed!
Match 2
ZOD vs WARR 2-1 Game 1 ZOD’s twin Siege Towers locked down the walls in an “iron encirclement,” crushing WARR’s gate counterattack under Artillery fire. In a bloody A-point tug-of-war, ZOD’s backline pressure inflicted 400 Unit losses. With 8 Trebuchets in hand, they stormed the Supply Point. In the final clash, WARR’s Sunward Phalanx was obliterated by Lionroar Crew, breaking the line with a 300-Unit gap. ZOD steamrolled the base with textbook siege tempo. Game 2 WARR’s double towers asserted dominance, forcing a role reversal. ZOD’s forward push was baited into alley fights and crushed. WARR’s precise Trebuchet strikes stalled ZOD’s rally. In the final minutes, WARR’s Sunward Phalanx locked down reinforcements, pulling off a stunning comeback with 1 minute left. Game 3 WARR’s Cavalry picked off Heroes early and shredded a ZOD Unit squad, building a 50-Unit lead. But ZOD steadied, turned the battle at A with chaotic skirmishes, and swung a 100-Unit comeback. In the final push, ZOD stormed B, clashed head-on, and captured the point with just 1:25 left, completing a comeback through pure grit and time pressure.
APAC – April 27

Match 1
NBY vs KIBA 2-0 Game 1 NBY masked a mid-gate blitz under Siege Tower cover, crushed KIBA’s center, then swept left, smashing two more defenses to take A point. KIBA, reeling after the collapse, gave up B and turtled at the base. NBY set up a 10-Trebuchet, 27-Artillery wall of fire, draining KIBA's reinforcements dry. A clean win through relentless attrition. Game 2 On defense, NBY quickly placed 15 Cannons across the walls, sniping KIBA's Trebuchet force down to one. Forced into a single Siege Tower push, KIBA walked into a deadly trap — Artillery crossfire and Unit collapse. Multiple charges broken, KIBA failed to breach before time ran out. NBY locked in a flawless sweep.
Match 2
MANU vs PAE 0-2 Game 1 PAE’s Culverin fire crushed MANU’s Siege Tower advance, wiping out two assaults and breaking their spirit. MANU tried a desperate midlane push but got flanked and thrown back. As time ran out, MANU split forces for a desperate wall climb — but PAE saw it coming and wiped them clean, dominating from start to finish. Game 2 PAE unleashed textbook “focused assault” tactics. Facing triple defenses, they slammed hard at C Supply Point. MANU’s ranged Units, left exposed, broke fast. PAE’s Dagger-Axe Lancers spearheaded the breach. With C/B lost, PAE stormed the base under Trebuchet cover. MANU’s fragmented defense collapsed — victory was inevitable.
Match 3
VNC vs FGGG 0-2 Game 1 VNC’s early rush on the inner city was crushed by FGGG’s Cavalry flank. Regrouping, they seized A point — but FGGG pushed forward, fortifying C. VNC’s fake at C Supply Point was read instantly. In the final phase, VNC’s Infantry was wiped, their Cavalry shredded by Lionroar Crew and Sunward Phalanx. FGGG adapted faster and better. Game 2 FGGG blitzed the walls and seized A/B early. VNC overcommitted to defending C Supply, only to be outmaneuvered. When FGGG pivoted back to C, Lionroar Crew pounded VNC reinforcements. Though a misstep let VNC’s Cavalry counter once, FGGG regrouped, pressed with Artillery superiority, and overran the base. VNC’s revival waves couldn't stop the final feint-and-crush.
Match 4
VNH vs MMMD 2-1 Game 1 VNH launched twin offensives on A/B points. MMMD’s Culverins failed to stop the blitz — defenses crumbled. A short hold at C, but VNH shifted pressure to the port Supply Point, locking the map down. Under constant bombardment, MMMD’s reviving Units fell apart. A steady crush by VNH. Game 2 MMMD pulled a "feint and strike" — faking B, smashing A with heavy forces. VNH’s split three-way defense was dismantled lane by lane. ABC points fell. Though MMMD’s sneaky base rush stalled briefly against VNH’s delay tactics, their Artillery pressure eventually wiped out the defenders. Revenge secured. Game 3 MMMD split forces again, exposing intentions. VNH shifted fast, reclaimed B control. A rogue Poleaxe Hero tried a base backcap but backfired, giving VNH the momentum to pressure C. In the final grind, MMMD ran out of steam. VNH crushed from two fronts, pulling off a heroic comeback!
Chinese Mainland – April 27
Match 1
QIN vs LB 2-0
Game 1 QIN’s ironclad defense crushed LB’s triple-pronged assault. LB bled forces at A/B points without breakthrough. A last-ditch sneak failed as LB’s Artillery ran dry — QIN sealed the first game with rock-solid defense.
Game 2 LB’s Cavalry blitz hit hard with 200 Unit kills, seizing the Supply Point and pinning QIN with Hwarang on the walls. QIN counterpunched at the mid-gate, flipping momentum. At 5:30, QIN captured A point after fierce fighting. LB abandoned B to storm the base but got pincered — 26 Artillery from QIN crushed LB with only 9 Artillery. In the clutch, QIN’s "feint and flank" strat split LB's forces, cutting supply lines. LB’s Mortars fired a desperate volley but couldn’t turn the tide. QIN locked in a dominant 2-0 win.

Match 2
YZY vs BF2-0
Game 1 YZY unleashed early Trebuchet pressure, crippling BF’s Artillery network. BF countered by sniping both Siege Towers to slow the siege. At 9:15, a lone BF player gambled on stealing Artillery and fed first blood. With 19 Artillery left, YZY pushed Siege Towers up and bombarded BF’s shrinking lines. In the final assault, YZY crushed 300 Units in a three-pronged encirclement, then blitzed the base. A textbook transition from siege to strike — BF could only watch defeat unfold.
Game 2 BF opened with a Mortar barrage, but YZY baited deep advances with a lone Siege Tower. BF’s double Ballista surprise was dismantled by YZY’s sharp counter. YZY picked off two kills at the side gate. BF’s Orochi Samurai broke formation and got isolated. YZY’s Hwarang and Dagger-Axe Lancers rushed in, tearing apart BF’s Sunward Phalanx defenses. BF gambled on a final base rush but ran straight into YZY’s trap — Macedonian Phalanx defenders crushed the attempt, securing another flawless victory.

Match 3
ZT vs ZTPQ 2-0
Game 1 ZTPQ retreated early, trying to destroy the drawbridge — but a misstep ruined the plan. ZT’s Siege Towers advanced slowly, locking both sides in a tug-of-war. At 8 minutes, ZT massed midlane, seized the Supply Point, and crushed 300 enemy Units. In the clutch, Dagger-Axe Lancers stormed the C point, then rolled on to smash the base with Artillery and flanking tactics. A masterclass in assault and pressure from ZT. Game 2 ZT opened with 5 Artillery, blasting the drawbridge and killing PQ’s momentum. PQ breached the walls but stalled — allowing ZT’s Sunward Phalanx to counterattack. In the final minutes, PQ’s Sunward Phalanx pushed too far and got annihilated in a triple flank. ZT dominated with a 100-Unit lead, closing in with a final Sunward Phalanx encirclement. PQ’s defenses crumbled. ZT showed the art of war.

Match 4
KZ vs SDYL 0-2
Game 1 SDYL kept 19 Artillery alive, striking with surgical precision. KZ, left with just 3 Artillery, was overwhelmed. SDYL advanced twin Siege Towers patiently, bleeding KZ dry while preserving 12 Artillery. KZ’s Cavalry flank was smashed by ruthless defense. SDYL pressed with 6 Trebuchets and 12 Artillery, dominating resources and toppling KZ’s base. A clinic in "resource control warfare."
Game 2 KZ tried a “conserve Artillery” plan — but SDYL countered ruthlessly, destroying both Towers. After scaling the mid-wall, KZ’s tentative push was stonewalled. Despite 6 Trebuchets and 13 Artillery, they fell to SDYL’s "zero Artillery countercharge" strategy. In the final minutes, SDYL's Cavalry struck from two flanks, slaughtering 200 Units to swing the battle. KZ’s desperate Supply Point push got surrounded and crushed. With a 400-Unit deficit, KZ was powerless. SDYL locked a clean 2-0 sweep with disciplined defense.
