Conqueror’s Report #1: New Campaign in Territory War。

[h2]Conqueror’s Report:[/h2]

The "Conqueror’s Blade" development team has always regarded all generals as the most precious treasures, and your continuous support and encouragement have motivated us to come this far. We promised to prioritize the establishment of the community as a key part of the next phase. We pledge to value every general who comes to the official community, value every piece of community feedback, and value closer communication with you all!

As promised, we have been working hard during this period: conducting one-on-one interviews with generals to better understand their real concerns; restructuring the community architecture to make it easier for generals to find information; actively planning community initiatives to benefit our generals......

We have been working hard, hoping to rebuild the glory of the 'Conqueror’s Blade' community with all generals.

However, in our communication with everyone, we find that merely working hard does not resolve all problems, timely two-way communication is very necessary.

Therefore, we have decided to restart Dev-Log, and promote the entire column:
——Conqueror’s Report!

In the [Conqueror’s Report], in addition to the weekly updates on "Conqueror’s Blade" and the musings of the development team, we will also select some feedback from the generals and provide responses!!

No more words needed. Let's begin this Conqueror’s Report!

[h3]The Khan of Heaven has appeared, new Territory War is about to Fight![/h3]
In the brand-new "Dragonrise" season, we are launching a new server: Steam Poros-[Khan of Heaven]. In this server, adjustments will be made to various game systems, each modification is aimed to bring a fresh gaming ecosystem and experience. Moreover, we will conduct new VG tests for Territory War on this server. We aim to make the Territory War a real war, where everyone has their place, the rewards of the Open World are more apparent. Make Conqueror’s Blade great once again! we are very looking forward to the arrival of all Warlords!

Pre-Creation Treatise ceaselessly! Pre-Creation for new server will be available from 12:00 March 22, 2024 to 15:29 March 28, 2024, Warlords who completed pre-creation process will receive Treatise x10, Ten-Battle Unit XP Card x1, Ten-Battle Hero XP Cardx1 after the server opens at 12:00 on March 28.

[h3]Make Territory Wars a real war, all-new Open world plundering mechanism is now online![/h3]

In conversations with the generals, we discovered slight issues in the current Unit’s kit design. The cost for matchmaking battles is restrictive, and the importance of supplies is not highlighted in Territory Wars! Therefore, in order to enhance the overall strategic and exciting aspects of Territory Wars, we have decided:

  • The new server will Remove the unit's kit system: The Siege Battle will not result in kit losses.

  • The Open World will adopt a new Reserve Unit System: Unit’s kit will become the only way to resupply high-star reserve units, and the accumulation of unit’s kit in your daily activity will directly affect the result in battle.

  • New plundering mechanism now online: defeating other player units has a chance to seize unit equipment. The acquired unit’s kit will be distributed based on the ratio of binding and non-binding unit’s kit. In the Open World, both allied and enemy forces will drop kits due to battle losses. Both sides can pick up the dropped kits from the map using their characters.

  • A new House Depository system has been added, allowing players to donate kit and siege engines. Donated resources cannot be sold, but the House can allow members to use them directly by setting permissions.

[h3]In the Open World, everyone can be a general[/h3]

We hope that the revamped Open World will truly be a place where players can actively engage. Large houses can mobilize forces and gather resources on a large scale, while small groups can set ambushes to sustain their warfare efforts. For those who prefer freedom, they can pursue the life of a free bandit or focus on production. Everyone can find their place and activities will yield benefits. This is what a true "Open World" should be like.
  • In the Territory War, there will be a limitation on using Bronze Coins and Silver Coins to replenish the loss and damaged kit.

  • Season Reset of Strategic resources: At the end of each season, existing resources will be recycled for rewards. Past resource accumulation will no longer be a crucial factor; instead, comprehensive planning and choices will determine the future.

  • New House Depository: Donating Kits and Siege Engines & Artillery, not only the house will gain house XP, but individuals will also earn Open World gathering XP. Logistics talents will become indispensable roles in the family. Just like players who gather and manufacture, they can also contribute their own value!

  • New Resources Market: Warlord can sell the excessive resources or purchase desired resources through the market. The resource’s price will fluctuate according to the trading conditions across the server.

  • Gathering in the Open World no longer consumes Bronze Coins: PVE monsters also yield high returns, whether it's for self-healing, selling to other families, or trading with merchants for silver coins. Everyone can profit from the Open World.!

  • More Open World’s Rewards: Upon defeating Robbers and Bandits in the Open World, you will receive Bronze Coins and have the opportunity to obtain either [Epic Artillery Crafting Schematics] or [Legendary Artillery Crafting Schematics]. After clearing the campaign, players will have a chance to obtain limited non-bound epic and legendary artillery schematics for the entire server. However, a contest for entry qualification will be added, and only the victors can enjoy the final rewards.

[h3]Better Fief mechanics, more rewards [/h3]

For players who enjoy managing fief, besides simplifying the calculation method for fief prosperity, the profits of fief will also be clearer. As the fief level increases, the daily fixed dividends from the fief will increase. In future updates, the capabilities of fief defense will also be strengthened based on fief level up, ensuring that every investment is worthwhile.

  • Fief Economy mechanism has been improved: Upgrading fief will increase daily fief dividends. The higher the fief level, the higher the economic rewards.

  • Engaging in plundering during battles will diminish the prosperity of the fief, (such as capturing the central area). Members can earn Silver Coins through the fief's Silver Coin dividends. Furthermore, we plan to introduce additional opportunities for silver coin plundering in the future, such as destroying the city gate and the stockade.

  • Imperial Restorationists 1.0: Fiefs occupied by Imperial Restorationists will provide dividends to all players within the faction. The procedure of Fiefs upgrade and unit assemble have also been optimized. Within the Imperial Restorationists will also have hostile relations among themselves, each striving for their own interests. Subsequent updates will introduce unique characteristics for each of them, providing more considerations and enjoyment in player choices.

Regarding the "season reset" setting, we have deliberated extensively. We aim to provide a relatively equal starting point for the vast majority of players after each season change, whether they are newcomers or veterans. We hope to create a relatively fair gaming environment for everyone at the beginning of each new season. Additionally, for our loyal supporters, any unused strategic resources will be converted into a certain amount of Bronze Coins and Silver Coins for use in the new season.

This change is also a new attempt for us, and there may be many uncertainties and differing opinions. However, we hope that this change will bring a new ecosystem and a better gaming experience for our players. We will continue to strive towards this goal.

Regarding the future plans for the new server, we have considered possibilities such as merging servers or allowing transfers to other servers. Specific information will be announced in subsequent official announcements.

As for the old server, we will consider whether to promote the updates we made on the new server to other servers, especially the dramatic changes in the Territory War, we hope to synchronize on all servers as soon as possible. We hope that all our players can give us more suggestions and valuable comments! We hope that both new and veteran players can enjoy the game after this season maintenance!

[h3]"Dragonrise: CARVE YOUR LEGACY" Season Units[/h3]

Dargonrise: Crave your Destiny! The new Season Units are ready:

Feathered Crossbowmen (3 Stars): Versatile in both melee and ranged combat, with bursts of power and decent survivability. Agile and adept at kiting enemies.

Wuwei Mansion Guard (4 Stars): Strong sustained combat and survivability. Utilizes control immunity to withstand bursts and maintain continuous damage output on the battlefield.

Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry (5 Stars): The control immunity in their skills enables them to harvest large groups of infantries within a considerable range.

[h3]"Dragonrise: CARVE YOUR LEGACY" Balance Adjustment[/h3]

This adjustment will issue [Ironcap Scout Cavalry Doctrine Removal Token] and [Ironcap Scout Cavalry Scroll of Forgetfulness] to our warlords. After using these items, all activated Doctrines become removable, and 100% of the corresponding resources spent in Mastery will be refunded.

Units in this balance adjustment:

  • [Shieldmaidens]: Shieldmaidens has demonstrated relatively weak performance in recent battlefield environments, their data even unable to match with units that have similar mechanics but lower leadership cost. As the only five-star Heavy Shield unit, we hope to give them better defensive capabilities.

  • [Varangian Guards]: as a unit specializing in The Counterstrike, it has been performing poorly against some meta units. We aim to enhance their damage resistance during defense and their damage output during counterattacks, making the tactical gameplay on the battlefield more diverse.

  • [Siphonaris]: Siphonaris has a unique attack style, providing significant suppression against high-density infantry. However, their overall performance is relatively poor at present. We aim to enhance their basic attributes appropriately to introduce some changes to the local dynamics of the battlefield.

  • [Falconetti Gunners]: The Falconetti Gunners possesses unique strategic value and features a distinct attack style. However, its impact on the current battlefield environment is diminishing. We aim to increase their firepower output duration appropriately, allowing them to better utilize their unique advantages.

  • [Grayhair Garrison]: As a uniquely versatile unit, it has been underperforming against some meta four-star units. Enhancing their survivability, especially when activating the 'Last Stand' skill, can bring more diversity to the current battlefield environment.

  • [Alchemists]: Alchemists is the first unit in the warfront with an auxiliary healing mechanism, and their healing skills are unique and interesting. We aim to further reduce their command value and significantly increase the healing effect of their ' Healing Hands ' skill, encouraging warlords on the battlefield to engage in altruistic behavior.

  • [Prefecture Pikemen]: As a unit primarily relying on charges for their damage output, reducing its charge cooldown would allow them to better adapt to the current dynamic battlefield environment.

  • [Ironcap Spearmen]: The Ironcap Spearmen as a meta three-star with heavy shield unit, we aim to increase their health to differentiate them from other shield units.

  • [Kriegsrat Fusiliers]: Kriegsrat Fusiliers stand out among the various rifle units due to their high movement speed and impressive firepower. We aim to slightly reduce their health to provide warlords with more opportunities to exploit their weaknesses when facing the Vienna Rifle Guards.

  • [Ironcap Scout Cavalry]: Ironcap Scout Cavalry has been favored by warlords since its mastery was launched. However, its excessively high cost-effectiveness and significant control ability over heroes have greatly affected battlefield balance. We aim to increase their leadership cost and reduce their control ability over heroes, creating more opportunities for warlords to counter the Ironcap Scout Cavalry on the battlefield

Q: The Leadership costs of Ironcap Scout Cavalry at 95 is way too powerful!! (From R*P)

A: The Ironcap Scout Cavalry has been a favorite for many generals since its Mastery was released. However, due to its high cost-effectiveness and excessive control over the heroes, it has greatly affected the balance of the battlefield. Therefore, we have made the following adjustments to this unit: Leadership value 95 -> 120, [Dominate the World] no longer produces a Dazed effect on heroes.

Q: The Shieldmaidens lacks the ability to take damage, block damage, and deal damage! (From B*****scuit)

A: As the only five-star Heavy Shield unit, we hope to give them better defensive capabilities. Therefore, we’ve made the following changes to the unit: Leadership cost from 310 down to 280, damage reduction effect of [Cover Commander] has been increased from 15% up to 30%, defense boost effect of [Guardian] has been increased from 10% to 20%, Basic Slashing Damage has been increased by 10%, and Basic Piercing Damage has also been increased by 10%.

Q: Korean translation needs improvement! (From: Naver user feedback)

A: Thank you for your feedback, General! Regarding the translation, you can now provide feedback on our official DC community's dedicated channel. We will regularly optimize it accordingly!

Q: New players are not sticking around; we need to utilize the power of the community! (From S***lord)

A: Thank you for your feedback. We have always revered the power of the community, and as you mentioned, we agree that the community's influence is crucial in guiding new players. Therefore, in addition to submitting the New Player Guidebook each season, we will also introduce a new feature related to newcomers in the community to assist new players in their growth!!

Q: Why isn't there an EX-server house recruitment channel in the community? (from I****T)

A: We have it now! At the same time, we are busily preparing for a new season of activities. There are activities every week, there are rewards every week, remember to follow us!

Q: We need more closer communication with the officials! (From ALL OF YOU)

A: We deeply understand the importance of communication and sincerely hope to regularly engage with all generals. To ensure that we hear the voices of generals firsthand and better understand their needs, we are planning to launch an AMA (Ask Me Anything) event soon—where the official team will be available in the DC (Discord Channel) to answer your questions directly. We promise to address as many questions as possible during this event. For those issues where conclusions cannot be made immediately, we will communicate with the entire development team and provide updates in the next edition of the Conqueror’s Report!

Currently, the entire Conqueror's Blade development team is working hard to optimize the new season based on feedback from PTR users. We will also address the newly received feedback as soon as possible. Please stay tuned for the details in the upcoming second edition of the Conqueror’s Report!

[h2]IX. Unit and System Optimization[/h2]

[h3]Balance Adjustment[/h3]

Based on recent battlefield performance data and feedbacks from the community, we will be making balance adjustments to several units in Season 18. With these balance adjustments, we aim to provide opportunities for some underperforming but unique seasonal units to see play, making the battlefield more diverse overall.

[Shieldmaidens]
Shieldmaidens has demonstrated relatively weak performance in recent battlefield environments, their data even unable to match with units that have similar mechanics but lower leadership cost. As the only five-star Heavy Shield unit, we hope to give them better defensive capabilities.
Changes:
  • Leadership cost 310 -> 280
  • The damage reduction of the [Cover Commander] has been increased from 15% to 30%.
  • The effect of defense increase in the [Guardian] has been upgraded from 10% to 20%.
  • Basic Slashing Damage increases by 10%.
  • Basic Piercing Damage increases by 10%.
[Varangian Guards]
as a unit specializing in The Counterstrike, it has been performing poorly against some meta units. We aim to enhance their damage resistance during defense and their damage output during counterattacks, making the tactical gameplay on the battlefield more diverse..
Changes:
  • The effect of damage reduction in the [Unbreakable] has been increased from 30% ----> damage taken reduced by 40%.
  • [Raging Onslaught] All types of armor penetration increased from 300 ——> 400.
[Siphonaris]
Siphonaris has a unique attack style, providing significant suppression against high-density infantry. However, their overall performance is relatively poor at present. We aim to enhance their basic attributes appropriately to introduce some changes to the local dynamics of the battlefield.
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 315 ——>300
  • Basic blunt damage increases by 200.
  • Basic health increases by 20%
[Falconetti Gunners]
The Falconetti Gunners possesses unique strategic value and features a distinct attack style. However, its impact on the current battlefield environment is diminishing. We aim to increase their firepower output duration appropriately, allowing them to better utilize their unique advantages.
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 320 ——> 300
  • Basic Ammo increases by 30%
[Grayhair Garrison]
As a uniquely versatile unit, it has been underperforming against some meta four-star units. Enhancing their survivability, especially when activating the 'Last Stand' skill, can bring more diversity to the current battlefield environment.
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 230 ——> 200
  • Basic health increases by 20%.
  • The effect of damage reduction in the [Last Stand] changes from 15% to 25%.
[Alchemists]
Alchemists is the first unit in the warfront with an auxiliary healing mechanism, and their healing skills are unique and interesting. We aim to further reduce their command value and significantly increase the healing effect of their ' Healing Hands ' skill, encouraging warlords on the battlefield to engage in altruistic behavior.
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 90 ——> 60
  • [Healing Hands]: Regeneration 1% of maximum HP --> Regeneration 10% of maximum HP
[Prefecture Pikemen]
As a unit primarily relying on charges for their damage output, reducing its charge cooldown would allow them to better adapt to the current dynamic battlefield environment.
Changes:
  • Reduced the cooldown for Charge from 60 seconds to 40 seconds.
[Ironcap Spearmen]
The Ironcap Spearmen as a meta three-star with heavy shield unit, we aim to increase their health to differentiate them from other shield units..
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 150 ——> 130
  • Base health increase by 30%.
[Kriegsrat Fusiliers]
Kriegsrat Fusiliers stand out among the various rifle units due to their high movement speed and impressive firepower. We aim to slightly reduce their health to provide warlords with more opportunities to exploit their weaknesses when facing the Vienna Rifle Guards.
Changes:
  • Base health decreases by 30%.
[Ironcap Scout Cavalry]
Ironcap Scout Cavalry has been favored by warlords since its mastery was launched. However, its excessively high cost-effectiveness and significant control ability over heroes have greatly affected battlefield balance. We aim to increase their leadership cost and reduce their control ability over heroes, creating more opportunities for warlords to counter the Ironcap Scout Cavalry on the battlefield.
Changes:
  • Leadership Cost 95 --> 120
  • The [Dominate the World] no longer causes a Dazed effect on Heroes.

[h3]Ragdoll Physics[/h3]
  • We have added a ragdoll effect to the impact and explosive attacks of heroes, units, and artillery that deal powerful blows or explosions when killing enemy infantry units.
  • You can turn on effect by [ESC -> Graphics -> Graphics Settings -> Ragdoll System].
