Alpha 0.8 to Main Branch!
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Hello survivors!
We gladly announce that the newest version of Survisland is ready to migrate into the main branch.
In this version we've added 4 new land/amphibian animals with unique behaviors, improved the graphics and fixed several major bugs that haunted a long time in the previous versions.

It's also over a year since we first released on steam early access. We'd like to show the game to more people that is interested in this genre and see the progress we've made so far!
Comparing to the initial version, we've greatly improved the visual quality and the performance. Added character customization, wild animals, free-form furniture, ranged combat abilities, pottery and various minor mechanics. And updated or remade several major mechanics based on player feed backs, like the crafting system, tutorials, metabolism system etc.
From the technical perspective, we've constructed a solid code base in the past year and now we can focus more on developing new mechanics on this foundation to bring new features more quickly than before.
Next steps in 2020:
Smelting and forging system with various kilns, workbenches to bring our technology into iron age.
Boats, rafts and ships to expand the players activity region across large islands.
More animals to populate the landscape.
Modular trap system to allow you to design and set traps to catch wild lives with ease.
There also are a lot we can improve, the complexity of the crafting system and the large reading requirements in the tutorials are the main two complains we've received from players, and we'll definitely try to resolve them in the future.
The development will go on, and thank all of you who supported us from the beginning! Also a big welcome to whoever is coming, we look forward to your suggestions and advice!
