Phoenix Point is coming to Steam this December

It may not have been as good at launch as we all wished it to be, but Julian Gollop's X-COM successor Phoenix Point was still a pretty decent entry in the turn-based tactics space. It's also been improving constantly in the year since it was released on the Epic Games Store.

That one year anniversary will hit on December 3rd, and with it will come the end of the exclusivity deal Snapshot Games had with Epic.

For those that have been avoiding the EGS like the plague, you won't have long to wait after that for the Steam version - Phoenix Point is coming to Steam on December 10th, 2020 with the 'Year One Edition'.

Accumulating all of the DLC and extra content (not to mention the free patches) all in one package, this edition comprises of:

  • The base game
  • DLC 1 - Blood & Titanium
  • ...

We know from the release of the second DLC not too long ago that a third major DLC is also due for release by the end of the year called Festering Skies. It doesn't look like it'll be part of the Year One Edition, but it's possible it will be released at the same time and thus kick off the game's 'Year Two' content run.
