Fanfest 2022 - Player Presenters and CCP TV Hosts

Conversational Capsuleers!

During Fanfest 2022 we're looking for as many opportunities as possible to include YOU in the program! Even though CCP will have a lot to talk about, a big part of every EVE player gathering over the years has been the opportunity for players to share their unique experiences and stories with the community. We're looking for players who would like to give presentations to their fellow EVE players and we're also looking for some energetic and enthusiastic players to join the CCP TV crew on the livestream over the weekend.

If you would like to give a presentation during Fanfest 2022:
 • We're looking for bright, articulate, and passionate players to prepare and deliver a presentation on a facet of EVE Online that you're a subject matter expert in. This could be a particular style of gameplay, a leadership philosophy, an in-game community, or anything you think is worthwhile. We're kind of flexible about this so let us know what you're passionate about and how your fellow EVE players could benefit from your wisdom!
 • Presentations should run for 30 minutes with 15 minutes of Q&A time allocated at the end.
 • A successful applicant's PowerPoint presentation would need to be submitted to CCP for review no later than a month before Fanfest 2022.

If you would like to join the CCP TV team:
 • We're looking for knowledgeable, energetic, and positive EVE Online players who would like to have discussions with CCP developers and other guests live on stream in front of thousands of viewers in between presentations over the course of the weekend.
 • Ideally, you'd have a respectable profile in the community from your leadership, streaming, video making, or other experience.
 • Over the weekend you will be scheduled to be on set with the livestream crew and have to show up on time, pumped up and ready to talk about internet spaceships!
 • For Player Presenter applications please send an email to [email protected] with the subject Player Presenter Fanfest 2022 with a detailed outline of the content you plan to cover in your presentation.
 • For CCP TV Player Host applications please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line CCP TV Player Host Fanfest 2022. Please include an explanation of why you think you would make a good player host and descriptions or links to examples of your experience talking to players whether it be on Youtube, Twitch, or some other medium.

In both cases, please indicate in your application if you have already made travel and accommodation arrangements for Fanfest or inform us by what date you intend to do so.

Successful applicants for either role will receive:
 • A free ticket to Fanfest 2022 (or a refund if they've already purchased).
 • Access to special facilities at the venue to relax and prepare for their appearances.
Deadline for applications in both categories is 10 March 2022.

No EVE Online event would be what it is without the contributions of our players. If you've ever wanted to go that little bit further with your involvement then this would be a great opportunity!

Guardian's Gala is well underway

The Gala is well underway so make sure you warp in and take part in the new combat and hacking sites all across New Eden. These sites drop exclusive loot and Data Fragments. Collect and return these Data Fragments to ORE and you’ll be rewarded with early access to new compression-related skillbooks to get a jump start on the new technology.

Don’t forget that there are some amazing new bundles available in the EVE Store during this event only! Expiring on 22 February, there are two great deals. Buy the Double Boost Bundle to get the Training Boost Bundle and get a Starter Training Boost thrown in free, or choose the slick new Heartsurge Bundle instead.

Enjoy the event while there’s still time and make sure you check out the popular pink Heartsurge and Eros Blossom SKINs in the New Eden Store – returning only during the Gala.

Don't miss out

Party at the Proving Grounds!

Hard partying Capsuleers,

To celebrate the grand gate-crashing of the Guardian's Gala, a special Abyssal Proving Grounds event has been set-up, and it promises to be livelier than a Serpentis Corporation dancefloor in the small hours.

Running from 11-to-15 February, this unique Abyssal Proving Grounds round makes 1v1 destroyer combat its sole focus. And thanks to a blend of multiple arena effects and carefully selected restrictions, pilots can expect dramatic action, sudden twists of fate, and nail-biting conclusions.

The following arena effects will be in place throughout the event:
- +100% bonus to the benefits of overheating, other than EWAR
- +50% Stasis Webifier Strength
- +50% Turret and Missile Damage
- +25% Turret Falloff and Tracking Speed
- +1000 base hull hitpoints

The event is open to Coercer, Dragoon, Cormorant, Corax, Catalyst, Algos, Thrasher, Talwar, and Sunesis hulls. And you’ll need to enter without sensor dampeners, shield rechargers, shield power relays, shield flux coils, and core defence field purgers – all of which are banned for this Proving Grounds round. Ships entering for combat must also have a maximum of one local repair module fitted (either shield or armor).

Pilots that join this event will also be restricted to Meta 5 modules.

To take part in the Guardian’s Gala Abyssal Proving Grounds event, grab your Proving Filaments and head to the Proving Grounds between 11:00 UTC 11 February and 11:00 UTC 15 February. Of course, the Proving Grounds leaderboards will allow you to track Capsuleer performance throughout the event.

Guardian's Gala YC124

Wily Capsuleers,

The annual Guardian’s Gala returns for 2022! This high-roller event traditionally runs to celebrate the ongoing relationship between the Angel Cartel and Serpentis pirate factions. Unfortunately for them, however, Capsuleers have made it something of a tradition to crash the party!

This year features all the excitement you expect from the Gala – new combat and hacking sites, daily gifts, and more – but with a twist! Following a successful Serpentis and Angel Cartel raid on the ORE research facility in 4C-B7X, you now have the chance to dive in and steal back the valuable data to help ORE in getting its development back on track and get early access to skill books.

The Scope is busy preparing their holoreel report on the fate of the stolen Rorqual and her crew, until then check out the World News article to find out more
Event Details
Activities during this year’s Gala include new combat and hacking sites across the entirety of New Eden, plus a warp speed bonus in wormhole space to help you get to the action faster. Venture into Guardians Gala combat sites to crash the party in cruisers and above to loot SKINs, boosters, Angel and Serpentis modules, and more!

Better still, you can turn up the heat with VIP Gala sites in wormhole space, plus the Phoenix (Fountain) and Heaven (Curse) constellations where you can get your hands on more exclusive rewards and trinkets. Sites aren’t the only thing to be on the lookout for in wormhole space, though, as PvP loot drops will be vastly increased for the duration of the Guardian’s Gala. Hunt down the hunters and take a share of their bounty!

For less combat-focused Capsuleers, the hacking sites available offer some of the most lucrative ways to earn your keep. Both combat and hacking sites will have a chance to drop pilfered Data Fragments of the latest material compression technology. Collect and return these Data Fragments to ORE and you’ll be rewarded with early access to new compression-related skillbooks to get a jump start on the new technology. Break in and escape to hand in the Fragments to ORE stations in 4C-B7X or NM-OEA.

On rare occasions during your raids on wormhole space VIP sites, you might even chance to come across a captured ORE scientist. Deliver them safely to ORE stations or an extremely lucrative reward.
Daily Rewards
These boosters are unique to the Guardian’s Gala and will offer powerful bonuses such as an increase to your Warp Scrambler range or a reduction in remote rep cycle time!Remember that you can upgrade to Omega at any time during the event to receive any of the rewards you might have missed as an alpha clone.
Limited Time Bundles
Need some extra Skill Points to dive into the Gala with? Grab the Double Boost Bundle to get a Training Boost Bundle and get a Starter Training Boost thrown in free! This offer is only available during the Guardian’s Gala so this is your time to snag some great value. For cosmetically-minded Capsuleers there’s also the Heartsurge Pack on sale until 22 February. If you’re heading to a party, why not dress to impress? This pack contains ship SKINs, Capsuleer clothing, fireworks, and even a Capsuleer resculpt token!
