We've had reports of instability especially on the Anvil map introduced in the previous update. While we haven't identified a cause, this build includes some changes that will hopefully address the issue. It also includes the following:

Added:
- AI will now use flashlights when patrolling at night
Edits & Tweaks:
- Increased health pack max carry capacity to 4
- Continue map audit for metal fences that you should be able to shoot through
Fixes:
- Make sure weapon 'tail' sounds are also delayed by distance
- Two 'Thunderstorm' weather presets in weather settings (one should have been 'Dry Thunderstorm')

Added:
- AI: New sentry behavior for guarding objectives in addition to patrols
- AI: New 'militia' variant for AI appearance
- Options: 15 second briefing length
- Uniform patches representing some of our community groups! (Caliber Collective, EBDA, Hawks and Easy Company)
- Added footstep dust fx for soil, dirt and snow
- Added a few mission presets for Co-op
Edits & Tweaks:
- AI: more varied firing cadence, also takes target distance to account
- AI: increase combat cover search distance, misc improvements to combat pathfinding
- AI: more reactive to taking damage during combat
- AI: Increased number of sentries & patrols at higher difficulties
- Settings: Global illumination is on by default
- Settings: tactical ping is middle mouse by default
- Updated DMR recoil curve
- Updated all weapon firing to use Unreal's Metasounds system
- Performance optimizations related to animations
- Texture size optimizations (ongoing)
Fixes:
- Watch was appearing black
- AK200 reload was audible too far away
- Shot 'tail' sound would only play after releasing the trigger
- Buk wreck wasn't blocking bullets

  • Updated to Unreal 5.5.4 (engine hotfix update)
  • Added voice events for AI reloading and running for cover (if squadmates alive)
  • AI drops deployable medical kits (if they spawn with one, random chance)
  • Added a bunker area on Renegade Oil (Map 5)
  • Added new options to NVidia frame generation

  • Increased grenade throw distance to better match the throw animation, increased fuse time to 4 seconds
  • Made GPS more visible in night vision
  • Tuned time for AI losing target knowledge when perception lost (decreased for sight, increased for hearing/damage)
  • Mission rotations: made default rotation read-only status more clear

  • Helicopter wreck not spawning on Mologa
  • Spectator list invisible in lobby
  • Remove invalid items from weapon/gear preset save data on load
  • Weather effects sometimes invisible after the last engine upgrade
  • Re-add missing weather presets (dry thunderstorm, heavy snow, irish spring, snowy clear skies)
  • Fixed secret pickup item

Notes: we're still looking for feedback related to the UE 5.5 engine upgrade, if you see any major visual issues let us know what settings / hardware / drivers you are using!

  • Added AI to Rogue game mode - they'll hunt for the intel pings!
  • AI difficulty setting (1-5, default 3) affects the number of enemy squads in modes
  • Added more AI spawners in Seek and Destroy & Exfil modes


[h2]Edits & Tweaks:[/h2]
  • Slightly decreased 40mm damage radius, increased minimum damage
  • Slight reduction in AI sight range and peripheral vision
  • More updates to maps for proper bullet penetration on fences, and AI sight checks for fences
  • Made AI voices more audible (still early work in progress)
  • Client mission presets are now saved in %appdata%/Exfil/Saved like other user files (no changes for dedicated servers)

  • Match settings (e.g. weather) were not applying correctly from the current mission in rotation
  • MK13 reload was silent
  • SU-25 jet flyby sound was very high pitched
  • Startup splash screens were missing

  • The spectator list in lobby may sometimes become invisible, will be fixed in a future build.
