[h3]Highlighted Changes:[/h3]

  • A new character is available for play, Blott, the enigmatic xeno-botanist. Use Blotts mastery of nature and unique wills over nature to control the battlefield or feed your friends




  • New Gadgets added to the game

    • Blaster Grenade

    • Shock Trap

  • New and improved skill trees for all characters

  • Added a Space Corps Mission Relay Structure in survival mode
  • Added a new dedicated building mode for controller

  • Fences can now be mass deconstructed (it will stop at Walls / Floors and Gates)
  • Bio-shroom now have a player planted growing icon

  • Landmark models have been added to the map

  • Buffs / Debuffs added to stats panel in the Character Interface

  • Added a new Oxygen / Heat escaping effect from Shelters / Habitats when doors are open
  • Added the ability to reorder the research queue with click and drag (controller support included)

  • Metallic dye packs have been added to the Unlocks screen

  • Added new Bar Hollow music

[h3]Other Changes[/h3]
  • Organic, Mineral and Crystal Data no longer drop on death

  • The maximum character level is now 25, down from 30

  • Weather effects are now hidden in Shelters and Habitats

  • The Brachylon Marketplace has been rebalanced to allow more use in the late game

  • Players now receive higher experience points for completing late tier missions in Conquest mode

  • Increased the stack size limit of many items in the inventory

  • The Proximity Mine damage has been increased

  • Plant Bays no longer show on the map

  • Improved the Satarad's effects, they now have passive fire and better explosions

  • Increased the timer until death in the downed state in multiplayer

  • Map orientation buttons now hide when using controller

  • Tooltips no longer display on the map when initially opened and will enable upon using the D-pad

  • Players can no longer throw gadgets through Shelter / Habitat Walls

  • The Recycler interaction radius has been increased

  • Further increased weapon durability

  • Improved the Jungle Tamber plant's harvest effects

  • Further improved the health bar visuals

  • Improved the visuals of transparent objects so they are easier to see in weather and in the
    corruption

  • Habitat visibility buttons will now only appear when near walls

  • Improved the Gloo Turret effect visuals

  • Players can now easily move between closely placed turrets

  • Structures now fill up their health as they are constructing

  • Character color dyes now cost 200 Credits instead of 250 per pack

  • Improved the server browser game mode icons

  • Controller improvements throughout the game, in particular UI and tooltips

  • Rebalanced the Crafting Interface and what categories some are displayed in


[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed a range of issues related to hiding tooltips in combat

  • The news feed was not always updating when changing languages

  • Fixed an issue where Quinn’s Mini Turret could indefinitely repeat audio

  • Fixed an issue where harvesting plants would display their fully grown version along with their growing version

  • Fixed a range of damage blocking issue on walls, fences and doors

  • Fixed an issue where the healing rod was only healing a single player

  • Fixed an issue where mass-deconstruct would ignore the confirmation pop-up in multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue where enemy animations would stop during the attack

  • Fixed an issue where player damage could skip defensive thresholds on Corrupted Seeds / Nexus’

  • Fixed an issue where damaged creatures caught in net weren't hiding their health bar

  • Fixed an issue where the Corrupted Warboss attacks would go through fences

  • Fixed an issue where players could place plants and floors on Corrupted Seeds / Nexus’

  • Fixed an issue where you could hot fill a Shock-Sprite Generator easily using a controller

  • Corrupted Seeds / Nexus’ were taking more damage in harder difficulties due to damage increase settings for creatures

  • "Hunting the Hunters" achievement which was previously awarded before killing the Corrupted Warboss

  • "Geared to Perfection" achievement was awarded before completing all armour sets

  • Players can no longer build over gas blossom vines without digging them up first

  • Fixed an issue where the task tracker would not load correctly for clients in a multiplayer game

[h3]Highlighted Changes:[/h3]

  • Farming and combat have been overhauled

  • Players can now reset all skill points at the cost of Data
  • Improved controller support when navigating the user interface

  • Map waypoints can now be seen by other players

  • Screen shake has been applied to high-impact attacks. The strength of this effect can be altered in the game settings






[h3]Farming Changes:[/h3]

  • Added a new Coral Colony plant that produces a new Synthetic Coral item
  • Energised Seeds and Nutritious Seeds no longer drop from plants

  • Plants now have a chance to drop Seedlings when harvested

  • Reordered plant-based research. Some plants can no longer be researched

  • Fertiliser research is now available at an earlier tier

  • The Plant Bay is now unlocked via the Botanical Modification research property
  • Players now obtain a lot more fertiliser from crafting (6 → 24)

  • Gomble Grapes now heal the player more when consumed

  • Lush and Bountiful plants have been renamed Super and Ultra plants

  • New Super and Ultra plant icons have been added

  • Super and Ultra Kepple plants now produce new Super Kepple Fruit and Ultra Kepple Fruit items, respectively
  • Super and Ultra plants can be harvested more times before they wilt

  • The plant health fertiliser can now be placed on plants yielding resources

  • The plant health fertiliser now heals over time (5× normal regen rate) instead of +10

  • The plant yield fertiliser is no longer removed until harvested

  • Added plant placement effects

  • Added bioluminescence to Kepple plants to make them easier to spot






[h3]Combat Changes:[/h3]

Raids

  • Raid wave compositions have been adjusted

  • Building health has been adjusted

  • Turret health and damage have been rebalanced

  • Stun tolerance has been increased for all creatures

  • The warning time for Corrupted expansion parties has been extended to give players a greater opportunity to prepare


General

  • Revamped the visual appearance of health bars
  • Improved overall fluidity of player actions in combat

  • Tooltips now hide in combat by default. This can be toggled in the game settings

  • Creature health has been rebalanced

  • Increased the damage and reduced the speed of heavy attacks for various creatures

  • Urchins now have a charge attack
  • Corapods now have a bite attack

  • Bull Crogs are now able to charge at players
  • Some creatures can now leap away from attacks

  • Increased the speed of some creature attacks

  • Overall creature damage has been reduced

  • Damage taken while not wearing armour has been reduced

  • Armour effectiveness in combat has been reduced

  • Weapon primary and secondary attack values have all been altered

  • Adjusted cooldowns of various secondary attacks

  • The Void Claw’s primary attack can now be continuously executed
  • The Void Claw now deals damage in an area of effect.

  • The Void Lance no longer deals damage in a straight line and only applies damage to the first target hit with its attack

  • The Power Shovel’s secondary attack now applies a slowing + weakening debuff with an appropriate effect. The animation has also been altered to look more fluid in combat






[h3]Other Changes:[/h3]

  • The quick-interact help popup will now appear after the player mines a mineral or crystal resource for the first time

  • Players can now see the host of a multiplayer game in the server browser

  • Added some lighting to Habitats and Display Cases

  • Additional exploration music has been added to the game

  • Digging up plants with ready-to-harvest resources now rewards experience

  • Increased Healing Rod radius by 50% and healing effect by 100%

  • Battery Banks can now be placed inside Shelters

  • Added missing resource interaction effects to various minerals, crystals and plants

  • Improved visual effects for various passively activated skills

  • Added an effect for the slow debuff

  • Electrical Wiring is now crafted with Resin instead of Tamber

  • Improved animations of Urchins calling for help during combat

  • Improved animations of the Corrupted calling for help during combat






[h3]Fixes:[/h3]

  • Research requirements now correctly update in the Research screen

  • Fixed the Micro Refinery door getting stuck in an open / close loop

  • Fixed being unable to interact after rotating the camera via the middle mouse button and simultaneously pressing ESC

  • Fixed the keybinding settings not scrolling correctly when using a controller

  • Wind no longer hinders player movement while in Shelters and Habitats

  • Fixed some encoding issues with the Conquest mode introduction cinematic

  • Fixed an issue where the Score screen wouldn't show the cause of death

  • Fixed an issue where the Score screen wouldn’t show anything at all

  • Fixed a missing mission icon for the Fabricate Battery Space Corps mission

  • The zoomed-out Corvex spawner icon is now red instead of white

  • The damage overlay effect can no longer get stuck when exiting a game

  • Fixed some grid issues for mountain chasms

  • Fixed some combat voice lines

  • Fixed an infinite power transmission glitch

  • Fixed the extra-long Brachylon Worker interaction range

  • Lights and bush audio triggers should now be disabled when they are covered with a building or flooring

  • Fixed an issue with Kangah’s item consumption audio

  • Fixed an issue with Kangah’s raw food consumption audio

  • Fixed combat music occasionally not starting

  • Fixed the "In Combat" state getting stuck when the game was saved while in combat

  • Fixed the plant health fertiliser effect not being removed

  • Fixed plant yield fertilisers stopping plants from regrowing after gathering

  • Unique voice lines for resources that can be harvested but require a tool have been added

  • Fixed interacting with harvestable resources not correctly swapping tools

  • Fixed projectile weapons not correctly colliding with walls/fences/doors and hostiles on floors

  • Character hazard animations no longer play while mining

  • Fixed the camera rotation sensitivity option not working using a controller

  • Disabled HDR as it is currently unsupported

  • Fixed the Exemplary Effort Steam achievement unlocking before completing all objectives

  • Fixed player projectiles not correctly colliding with walls, fences, gates and doors

  • Fixed player projectiles not correctly colliding with hostiles standing on Habitat / Shelter flooring

This includes the highly requested mass deconstruction of your shelters, better weapon tooltips, construction time on buildings, and more!

[h3]Highlighted Changes:[/h3]
  • Added the ability to mass-deconstruct an entire room of a Shelter / Habitat at once (alt + right-click by default)
  • Improved the tooltips of Thermo Bulbs and Oxygenators to help identify invalid Shelters / Habitats
  • Added a short construction time to buildings
  • Weapon tooltips now show primary and secondary attack key bindings
  • Players can now change most settings on their existing save files
  • Added new temperature screen effects - colours will now shift towards colder or warmer hues based on the player’s temperature

[h3]Other Changes:[/h3]
  • The Void Nexus can now be scanned and inspected
  • The Brachylon Trader button now says Buy and Sell instead of Trade
  • Renamed Basic Walls and Doors to Basic Fences and Gates to reduce confusion
  • Added a new visual effect for when Kangah dies and is revived by his skill, ‘Kangah Cannot Lose’
  • Updated building placement sounds to match the new construction behaviour
  • Updated sounds for the Plasma Welder
  • Added new ‘mission accepted’ sounds
  • Added background music when talking to the Admiral near the end of the game
  • Added creature alert sounds
  • Improved urchin combat music

  • Made Void Rift audio more menacing
  • Updated the smoke and spark textures for the Void Nexus Stabiliser

  • Added a visual fuel indicator to the exterior of the Geothermal Generator structure
  • The current research is now displayed in the Research HUD button’s tooltip
  • Void Seeds now generate a small damage pulse while under construction

  • Fixed various spelling and grammatical errors
  • Fixed the ‘No Research In Progress’ indicator remaining visible after all research had been completed
  • Fixed inconsistent key binding order for the movement and camera options
  • Fixed some map inconsistencies in the Wildlands biome
  • Tooltips will now refresh their text when changing languages
  • The Data Laboratory can no longer accept unscanned items
  • The Oven’s output slot size now matches its input slot size
  • Fixed Metal Sheeting being able to stack up to 40 in the player’s inventory but only to 20 in a Storage Locker or Storage Vault
  • Removed C.A.R.L.’s ‘scan more’ reminders
  • Clicking anywhere to close an inventory will no longer cause an attack action to be executed
  • The Credits reward text no longer overlaps the XP text when acquired at the same time
  • Fixed the Corapod hit sound effect not playing correctly
  • Fixed an issue where a death event would be processed when Kangah was revived by his skill, ‘Kangah Cannot Lose’
  • Fixed an issue where talking to Clawtooth could incorrectly progress the story and prevent some objectives from being completed
  • Fixed the name of the Captured Shock Sprite
  • Fixed missing mouse-over audio for the ‘Free the Forge Cores’ objective
  • Added a backup claim button for completed Daily Missions
  • Fixed an issue where Kangah’s body would contort sideways when taking hazard damage while running
  • The Forge Heart no longer points to artefacts stored inside the player’s backpack
  • Fixed a crash caused by placing the Forge Heart in a Storage Locker or Storage Vault
  • Fixed an issue where raiders sometimes stopped attacking during a raid
  • Fixed some textures and pathing issues in the Lava Magma Flow and Lava Steam Vents biomes
  • Teleportation now occurs on release of the left mouse button instead of on press to prevent accidental teleports when dragging the map
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to progress objectives involving Cence if another player started and completed earlier parts of the Octomian storyline
  • Fixed a few crashes caused by inventory transactions and map updates
  • Fixed an issue where the Lush and Bountiful Kepple plants did not display their names on the map

[h3]Balance Changes:[/h3]
  • The First Aid Kit now heals 100 instead of 55
  • The First Aid Kit now requires ×1 Shock Sprite Gel instead of ×3
  • Increased the maximum stack size of Organic Data, Mineral Data and Crystal Data from 100 to 9,999
  • Increased the initial Obelisk detection range so that players can more easily find Obelisks earlier in the game
  • Increased the incoming Corrupted Defender warning time from 1s to 1.5s. This also applies to the reinforcement waves that defend void structures.
