While we are waiting for the “Black Sun” major update, take a look at the large bug-fixing and improvement changelog. The Practice range is now in game to help you to train your weapons and ability skills, many new animations, more optimization, useful features and hints.
[h2]Locations & Modes[/h2]
  • The special “Practice” mode has been added to the game mode select menu. You can enter there to train your shooting, usage of traps, rituals and special ability skills. To use mystic powers you get 2000 sinner souls upon entry. 
  • Snow has stopped falling in the location Winter Normandy.
  • Location Mexico:
    • The mechanics of the zone convergence in the Mexico location has been fixed. The bug created a possibility that the zone might converge into the open desert and not the way it was designed.
    • According to player feedback several respawn points in the location Mexico have been deleted.
    • Bugs in a champion’s collisions with some parts of pyramids and buildings have been fixed.
    • Several doors have been added to fort buildings for easy movement.
    • The incorrect crossing through house doors has been fixed.
    • The incorrect crossing of ground surface in trenches has been fixed.
    • The height of a fence relative to the ground has been fixed.The incorrect crossing of the house roof with a neighboring house has been fixed.
    • Electrification! Wires have appeared on poles.
    • The incorrect crossing of logs on roofs of houses has been fixed.
    • The incorrect crossing of wooden decking on the fort ceiling has been fixed.
    • The incorrect position of a bush at the bottom of the trench has been fixed.
    • The incorrect placing of a trailer on the ground has been fixed.
    • The incorrect collision of a boat with ruins has been fixed.
    • Collision on the stairs of some buildings have been optimized for smoother movement whilst using them.
[h2]Graphics, animation, performance[/h2]
  • Animation on all champions in the menu is now unique and reveals their characters.
  • A visual effect of sparks when bullets hit armour has been added.
  • A new animation for the revival on a bonfire has been added.
  • The effect of blood on the screen when receiving all kinds of damage has been added.
  • The animation for jumps has been improved.
  • The correct champions animation when receiving damage from melee weapons has been added. 
  • A camera movement when hitting with buttstock in first person view has been fixed.
  • Zoom (in sight view) will be canceled if you get into water.
  • Performance when using zoom on PC configurations with weak GPU’s has been improved.
  • In the first person view the player’s weapon and body parts will now always be displayed in front of its surroundings.
  • A visual bug in the first person view when the player is close to a wall has been fixed.
  • Rendering of the weapons and item icons has been improved.
  • The blurring of the surrounding world when the menu is displayed has been improved.
  • Memory usage has been optimized. The game now uses less memory.
  • Rendering of water and surfaces has been optimized.
  • Renders of dynamic objects (loot, champions, weapons and vehicles) have been optimized.
  • Data traffic during battle has been significantly optimized.
  • Data traffic when starting the battle has been significantly optimized.
  • Processor usage has been slightly optimized. The application now runs a bit faster and the loading time has been reduced as well.
  • A game crash when resetting the video driver has been fixed.
  • GPU usage when using an optical sight has been optimized.
  • General GPU usage has been optimized.
  • Battle boot time has been optimized.
[h2]Gameplay, items, interface[/h2]
  • The medium and large shopping bags have now been replaced with bags. 
  • Now in order to replace the current weapon armour or perch you will need to press and hold the “F” button. This functionality works when there is no free slot for a new item or if they are not a clear improvement of the current equipment.
  • The algorithm for automatic food selection when pressing the “healing” button has been improved. Now, very low health will select the fastest food. And in other cases the one which allows the most effective health replenishment with minimal overspending.
  • The possibility of replenishing your health with food while you are afloat in a stationary position has been added.
  • The “Kubelwagen” can now swim. It temporarily replaces the “Schwimmwagen”.
  • The behaviour of the orbital fridge has been improved. Now it will be less likely to get stuck in walls.
  • The engine will not break under water in vehicles without a driver. The game counts such vehicles as having their engine switched off and being under the water does not damage them.
  • The mechanic of climbing out of water has been improved. Now the champion will get ashore faster by pulling up even when under a roof.
  • Information about the reason for receiving/spending souls has been added.
  • A possibility to mark stationary machine guns for teammates has been added.
  • It is possible now to heal a downed teammate under the water, he will be replenished with full air supply. 
  • Oxygen now has a threshold increase in breathing time under the water. 
  • Picking up a coin will now mean other coins within a radius of 2 meters will be automatically picked up.
  • The vertical thrust component has been changed for horizontal flight on the JP01.
  • Now when using melee attack in water or in a vehicle, the most appropriate weapon of a champion will be used.
  • Improvements for the leaderboard display. It is now possible to find the description of the latest game changes in the menu “Latest updates”. 
  • The appearance of the main screen has been updated. 
  • Mystical signs in the shortcut menu are now in the same place as they are in the customization menu. 
  • In battle:
    • A hint about the possible display of the full screen map has been added to the minimap.
    • A hint about how to use the champion’s special ability has been added.
    • Hints about how to use rituals and signs have been added.
    • Hints on how to control a vehicle have been added.
    • A frag counter has been added to the main game interface in battle.
[h2]Weaponry and damage model[/h2]
  • Grenades that can be found in the location are now tied to the weapons in the game session: For “German” weapons it will be the M24, For “American” ones it will be the Mk.II and in the “Soviet” one it will be the F-1.
  • A possibility of reloading your weapon during an attack with the buttstock has been removed.
  • Some inaccuracies in the shells of .30 and .45 calibres have been fixed.
  • All weapons now have a pre-set 100m targeting range. 
  • A lowered number of disk magazines for PPSH/PPD in loot. 
  • Fixed a bug where a broken object might reappear. 
  • Improved object destruction mechanics when driving a vehicle. Now you can smash objects just by driving over them using their mass. 
[h2]Sounds[/h2]
  • Changed settings for the distances of sounds for all firearms. 
  • Updated teammate revival sounds on the resurrection centre.
  • Some new sounds when looting. 
  • New sound for receiving a prize for a task. 
  • Eric has new step sounds as he now has boots on. 
  • Dark Zone now mutes sounds only when you are deeper in it and is now not as loud in the final circles of a battle to ease navigation for players.
  • Distant sounds changed for some weapons.
  • New sounds for AKM shooting when heard by other players.
  • Slightly increased distance of stepping sounds.
  • A new melody in the lobby screen is now used in all modes irrelevant of ‘Streamer Friendly’ options to avoid issues with youtube streaming. 
  • Sounds added of other players looting. 
  • Removed scared cry when falling from height after jump trap usage.

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. Cuisine Royale is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.

New rituals, weapons and a shooting range

Weapons

A modernized version of the well known Kalashnikov assault rifle. Features new materials, a muzzle brake to help with recoil control and more precise shooting at greater distances. Like it’s predecessor the AKM, it can use scopes. The AK103 is a rare weapon and can only be found in orbital and tactical fridges.


A German SMG from the late 1930’s. Similar to the well known MP18, but features a cooling cover and has better iron sights and a higher rate of fire. Will be a good addition to the World War weapons collection.


The famous Italian tactical shotgun, supplied to police and special forces across the world. Very reliable, has a good rate of fire and shot dispersion cone. A must-have for any shotgun fan in the game!


The legendary modification of a Mauser pistol capable of full auto firing mode! Features a large 20-round magazine, comfort recoil and good iron sights - allowing you to deliver a fast series of headshots to enemies in close combat! Naturally, its rate of fire is much lower than SMG’s, but this side arm will still be a handy weapon to have ready for emergencies.
Rituals


Especially for you, two new unique mystic rituals that change the very landscape of the battlefield and even bring an astronomical phenomena to the game!
Flood ritual (regular and catalyzed) allows the start of a massive flood which drowns large portions of the current battlefield under water for 1 minute. Water floods fast and takes some time to drain after the ritual is over, so you can start second one immediately to make water levels even higher!



Gives you an option to massively surprise enemies camping in houses and bunkers.



By the way, the oxygen tank now not only allows you to run longer, but also remain much longer underwater. Additionally, one of the vehicles can now swim as well, converting it to a low speed boat.



Ritual of Eclipse (regular and catalyzed) forces the sun to disappear for 1 minute, bringing sudden night. You can now mask your approach, flee from a difficult gunfight or just disorient enemies before attacking them. Also, flares and flashlights will now be more useful as well!
Traps

Signs for Camouflage Bush allow you to create a patch of bush to create cover or distraction. A great aid for tactical gardeners and snipers.
Equipment and customization

Two new masks - stylish sunglasses and a camouflage bandana will be added with a special bonus to lower the sinner soul price of champions’ special abilities.

Underwear and talisman collection now get the addition of six new items with the ability to discover and mark mystic traps set by players.
Shooting range


New practice mode and location will be added to the game. There you can find different weapons, scopes, ammo and grenades placed conveniently for your practice at tables in the shooting range. Behind them, in the field, we have placed many interactive mannequins, wearing different sets and combinations of armor. So, now you can practice aiming, recoil control and check damage delivered to different body parts with different protection.

Currently the shooting range features only the most common weapon models. Select the “Practice” game mode and enjoy!
Bags


Sport and tactical bags are also replacing unreliable medium and large shopping bags, adding to your carrying capacity and brutal outlook.

Upload your screenshot on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram page or special screenshot channel on the official discord by writing your exact nickname and using two special hashtags #ShotCuisineRoyale and #BattleRoyale in the comments of your creation.

The contest will last until the 29th of February.

  • The three best screenshots in each category will be awarded with the Founder subscription (Founder badge, wearable crown, king’s gravestone baseball bat and “Bat” minion).

LOCATION

Capture the beautiful views that demonstrate all the advantages of the graphic and quality of the detailed created locations in Cuisine Royale. The presence of champions on the screenshots is acceptable.

BATTLE

Show a spectacular and dynamic screenshot right from the midst of battle! The more action and effects on the screenshot, the better.

You can make a screenshot by pressing the “Print Screen” button or you can use any other suitable software.

Terms and hints
  • You can temporarily disable the in-game interface by pressing Ctrl+Shift+G simultaneously.
  • To get rid of weapons in the screenshot you can turn your head while pressing and holding the “C” button (by default).
  • Your creations will be accepted until the 29th of February. The winners will be awarded within 3 days after the end of the contest.
  • The number of screenshots from one participant isn’t limited.
  • Your screenshot should be created specially for the competition and should not violate moral and ethical norms as well as the game rules and EULA.
  • Only the screenshots published on your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page and on the the official discord with the two special hashtags and your exact in-game nickname can participate in the contest.
  • The prize founder subscription is limited for 1 month after which all in-game items included here will disappear.

New League System



Survival masters of Cuisine Royale!

We have studied players’ feedback and decided to completely rework our League rating system. Our core goals are:
  • To make the rating calculation more transparent and show the dependency of their key statistics (killings, average place in battles, the number of battles) and their position in the League;
  • To ensure that not only survival skills affect rating position, but also overall combat efficiency and experience.

Starting from the new League season we are abolishing the Elo system, since it caused many questions from our players. The new formula of player rating will consist of three major metrics: win rating, kill rating and battle rating with different weight modifiers. Also, until a player plays a minimum number of battles in the League season, their stats for the difference in that amount will be considered to be minimal.

Win rating, the same as existing average relative place metric, will be calculated from the overall battle count and a place taken in each of them by the player or his team. Naturally, we will calculate into the formula the number of players in each battle to fairly judge each battle difficulty.

Kill rating will be calculated from the overall amount of enemies killed in the season and the number of battles played.

The battle rating is drawn from the overall number of battles played by the player.

As before, Leagues will be separated in Solo, Duo and Squad tables. And at the beginning of a new season players will be placed in the leagues according to their stats taken from the end of the previous season. If they didn’t play enough battles in the previous season, their allocated league will be downgraded. As, on this occasion, we are changing the system drastically, all player stats for the previous season will be wiped and you will start progress from the zero.

So, from now on we hope to see the most active and experienced players and squads in the top positions, will be worth learning from in mastering the art of a battle.
