Glassbreakers - Patch 2 Notes

[p]Hello Breakers, and welcome to Patch 2! While the last update focused on matchmaking, this update aims to tackle some of the balance feedback you have had as well as improving several crash issues to address stability. Read on! [/p]
Invite Glass
[p]We’re introducing support for direct matches against another player or team, no party join required. This opens the door for 2v2 challenges, which we’re really excited about. Here’s how it works: before starting your match search, you’ll enter a unique “lobby code.” Any player or team using the same code will be matched with you.[/p][p]

[/p]

Random Maps
[p]You may now select “Random Map” on any Game Mode that supports map selection![/p]

Balance
Sahima
• [p]Reduced Charged Chakram bounce speed to allow players more time to react.[/p]
 • [p]Increased cooldown on Charged Chakram.[/p]
[p]Sahima has been overperforming thanks to Charged Chakram, so we’re making some adjustments to give her opponents room to respond. Chakram bounce speed has been slowed and the cooldown has been increased to bring her in line with other Champions.[/p]
Barnard
• [p]Reduced burn damage on Radiant Blast.[/p]
[p]Barnard has been a bit too dominant in fights, so we’re toning down his Radiant Blast while keeping his poke identity intact. The burn on Radiant Blast has been reduced, giving squishier Champions more opportunities to escape, heal, or stay in the fight a little longer.[/p]
Mojo
• [p]Reduced base damage on Free Hugs.[/p]
[p]Mojo’s Free Hugs damage is currently providing both damage and utility, so we’re bringing the damage down to compensate for the utility it provides.[/p]
Naji
• [p]Increased Execute’s window in Naji’s Strike.[/p]
[p]We’re expanding the execution window for Naji’s Strike to give it more impact. This should give Naji more opportunities to showcase his power and secure knock-outs.[/p]
Rees
• [p]Increased Rees’ base health and damage.[/p]
[p]The little cleric is a bit too reliant on healing early in the match, so we’re adjusting his base health and damage.[/p]
Gwen
• [p]Gwen now mitigates more damage redirected to her during King’s Protection.[/p]
 • [p]Reduced cooldown on King’s Protection to be more in-line with other tanks.[/p]
[p]Gwen is currently underperforming compared to other tanks, so we’re making some adjustments to King’s Protection to give her more presence in fights.[/p]
Vendrix
• [p]Slightly increased base auto attack damage.[/p]
[p]Vendrix is struggling before Torrent of Flame comes online, so we’re giving him a small boost.[/p]

Bug Fixes
 • [p]Fixed an issue in the Spectator UI where the Swaystone arrow would not display correctly after being destroyed.[/p]
 • [p]Addressed several crash issues to improve overall stability.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where a KO’d Champion could block a cell until they respawned.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue that caused the wrong emblem to appear on the hourglass banner flag when playing with two players on the same team.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where Bronze 3 rank was incorrectly shown as Bronze 1 to the player.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where AI opponents were always displayed as Bronze 1.[/p]

Glassbreakers - Patch 1 Notes

[p]Hello Breakers, and welcome to the first Glassbreakers patch! We have been keeping a close eye on your feedback about matchmaking, balance, and progression since Glassbreakers released a couple weeks ago. Today, we are taking the first step in addressing some of the concerns you’ve had around finding Ranked matches against other players. Let’s get right into it.[/p][p][/p]
Matchmaking
[p]Since launch, one of the primary pieces of feedback we’ve heard from some of you is that getting into Ranked matches with other players can be a challenge. While we feel that having a bot fallback system in place is important to keep matches flowing and queue times low, we also recognize that it needs some fine-tuning to better serve the competitive community. This is why we’re introducing adjustments to how these bot fallback rules are applied.[/p][p][/p][p]As your rank increases, matchmaking will now spend a little more time searching for a worthy opponent for you to match against. This means newer players will be able to jump into matches quickly and start building experience, while higher-ranked players will still find competitive games that reflect their skill level. Each rank adds a small amount of time to your queue while loosening restrictions on who you can be matched with. These changes should improve the experience for players who are just starting out as well as those who are at higher ranks.[/p][p][/p][p]This is our first step towards improving matchmaking, and we will continue to refine it with your feedback. Please continue sharing your experiences in Discord - we are committed to making Ranked a fun, rewarding experience, regardless of what skill level you’re currently at.[/p][p][/p]
Matchmaking Changes
• [p]The time you spend waiting in queue before being placed into a bot match has been increased. [/p]
 • [p]Match ranges have been expanded at higher ranks to improve queue times.[/p]
[p][/p]
Creator Tools
[p]Over the course of development, we dug deep into the biggest pain points confronting creators when streaming VR games to their communities. What we found was that unlike flat games, VR can create cybersickness for some viewers; spectate cameras are often lacking; viewers can struggle to understand what is going on; and setups can be complex and challenging to navigate while in a headset. The very things that make VR such a unique experience become a detriment when it comes to content creation.[/p][p]
So for Patch 1, we are thrilled to announce the addition of Streamer Tools. Here is a brief overview of some of the tools you can enable when playing on PCVR/SteamVR:[/p]
 • [p]Smooth first-person POV for an easier-to-watch perspective.[/p]
 • [p]A new spectator overlay UI to show match stats.[/p]
 • [p]Custom spectator camera placements in both the Lobby and match.[/p]
 • [p]Cycling camera controls supported via WebUI, controllers, and the Elgato Stream Deck.[/p]
[p]For more information on how to enable and utilize Streamer Tools, please visit our handy dandy guide here. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Bug Fixes
• [p]Fixed an issue where Djain could not target Glass/Sway stone with his ability.[/p]

 • [p]Fixed an issue where no cancel button appeared when confirming to leave a party.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed a visual issue where AI in ranked matches would equip gear but no icon appeared on the champion that received the gear.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where no audio played when using Virtual Desktop.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where the store button did not animate correctly in the lobby.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where mastery progress was not saved if a player crashed when returning to the lobby.[/p]
 • [p]Added tutorial text for opening the pause menu while playing on Steam.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed readability issues with text in non-English languages.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue where AI could equip unreleased cosmetic items.[/p]

 • [p]Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on a black screen during the pre-match transition.[/p]

 • [p]Increased the resolution of UI art shown on the settings panels for various game modes.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed alignment of masks on the mask spindle and display dummy.[/p]
 • [p]Fixed localized text sizing issues across various languages.[/p]
