Last Epoch review - a worthy challenger to the ARPG throne

After five years in early access, Last Epoch is finally here. Arriving squarely between the launches of Blizzard behemoth Diablo 4 and the upcoming Path of Exile 2 from Grinding Gear Games, this ARPG has long been heralded as the ideal middle ground between D4's beginner-friendly systems and Path of Exile's unrelenting depth and complexity. Built by Eleventh Hour Games, originally formed as a passion project by developers who met through Reddit, Last Epoch certainly bears the mark of that scrappy upstart origin. Yet it's also clear that this is a game built by people who love the genre and have spent a lot of time playing it, and the result is one of the most delightfully player-friendly and welcoming RPGs I've ever played - one that pushes the genre forward in some ways its bigger-name rivals would do well to take note of.

Greetings Travelers,

Today is a historic day for the Last Epoch team and everyone here at Eleventh Hour Games (EHG). What started as an after-hours passion project has blossomed into one of the most anticipated releases in the ARPG genre, and we are blown away by the support we have received.

Thank You. Thank you to our families for putting up with us while we worked long into the night, and thank you to our community for supporting us even when all we had was a dream and a few vaguely Traveler-shaped pixels.

We look forward to seeing you all in Eterra, atop leaderboards, and expanding across time in the Monolith of Fate.

Best Last Epoch settings for max fps

What are the best settings for Last Epoch? This ARPG will ultimately be compared to many that came before it, but from a strictly performance aspect, Last Epoch is far easier to run than the likes of Diablo and Path of Exile.

One of many Diablo-like games on PC, Last Epoch doesn't demand the best graphics card to get great performance at 1080p or even 1440p as our testing proves, but there are some key settings worth playing around with for the best gameplay experience.
