Helpful Tips for Survival!

Greetings Captains,

Are you having fun playing MISTOVER?

Maybe you've already picked up a few tricks and are getting used to the game. But for those of you that are still struggling, we've prepared these helpful tips!

Battles and Growing Your Corps Crew

Sometimes it's impossible to avoid battle while exploring the dungeons, even when you really need to. Making smart decisions at the right time will help you in tough situations like these.
  • Take advantage of your Leader's Expedition Skill: Change your Corps Crew Leader to use different skills that get you out of harm's way, like Shadow Blade's "Hide" and the Witch's "Time Stop." (Remember that your Fullness has to be at a certain level to use an Expedition Skill.)
  • If you can't avoid fighting, always engage first: When monsters run into you and initiate a battle, they get the upper hand. They may be able to attack first, or will break your formation, causing characters to randomly move before the battle begins. Pay close attention to monster movement and pace, using "Wait" if you need to. Try your best to bump into them first!
  • Do you always MISS? Then it's time to level up!: Your character may be too weak. You can strengthen them by not only leveling them up, but by improving their skills at the Training Camp and equipping them with better grade or Fused equipment. (For reference, each charater has basic stats that mean the following)
: Attack power as a range (minimum to maximum).
: Block power as a percentage of how much damage is reflected.
    : Health or HP.
    : MP (or SP/YP).
HIT: Determines accuracy when attacking a target.
CRI: Determines the ability to deal with fatal blows to a target.
EVD: Determines the ability to evade an enemy attack.
GRD: Determines the ability to block an enemy attack and take less damage.
SPD: Determines the order of characters each Turn
  • Revive your dying members during Limbo: When the HP of a Corps Crew member reaches 0 during battle, they will enter Limbo, a state between life and death. Heal as soon as possible, and use SOS to give your turn to another character at random. Your teammates can turn the tides of the battle if they use the right skills!

Doomsday Clock

Are you running out of time before the Doomsday Clock strikes midnight, marking the end of the world? With thorough preparation and successful expeditions, you can turn back time.
  • Explore every nook and cranny of the dungeons: Opening Treasure Chests is important, but so is searching Debris, activating unlit Light Flowers, and defeating monsters. Successfully interacting with as much as possible in the dungeons may make the hands of the Doomsday Clock move backward. If you want to perform well, don't forget to find hiding monsters and chase after the ones that avoid you!
  • Prepare enough Food, Seed, and other consumable items to last longer during expeditions: But be careful not to bring too much, either. Any unused items that you leave the dungeon will be contaminated by the Mist. These "polluted" items may cause negative side effects.
  • The Doomsday Clock is affected by difficulty level: If you are playing on Easy, the Doomsday Clock will move more slowly than if you are playing on Normal or Hard mode.

Don't be afraid to try NEW strategies out!

There isn't a perfect way to play MISTOVER. You can use different gameplay styles and strategies to stay alive. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to enjoy even smoother expeditions into the world of Mist.

The more you play MISTOVER, the more freedom and wisdom you'll gain, and the better you'll become at staying one step ahead!

[Beginner's Guide] MISTOVER Items

Greetings!

The items in MISTOVER can largely be grouped into three categories: Equipment, Cursed Equipment, and Consumables.
  • Equipment: Weapons, Armor, Accessories
  • Weapons and Armor:
Each class has equipment that is exclusive to them. These items can be obtained during expeditions.
Equipping weapons will raise base stats that affect attack power.
Equipping armor will raise base stats that affect ability to block.
  • Accessories:
Usable by all classes, accessories raise stats like HIT, EVD, CRI, etc.
  • Equipment Properties:
    1. There are three equipment rankings: Normal, Rare, and Epic.
    2. The higher the ranking of equipment, the better stat boosts they provide. Rare and Epic equipment can be Fused more times than Normal equipment.
    3. Epic and Rare equipment acquired during expeditions can be Evaluated at the Alchemy Workshop to reveal hidden abilities.

  • Consumables
Food, Seed, and Potion are among the different consumable items available.
    1. Food : Recovers Fullness.
Ensures that the Corps Crew does not starve and can continue exploring.
    2. Seed : Recovers Luminosity.
The amount of Luminosity required changes depending on the size of the dungeon. Carrying at least 3 Seeds for small dungeons, 4 for medium-sized dungeons, and 5 for large dungeons is highly recommended.
    3. Potion:Immediately recovers HP.
While somewhat expensive, having 1-2 Potions on hand may be the difference between life and death.
    4. Bandage : Cures Bleeding.
It may seem like Bleeding does not cause significant damage, but over time, the value of Bandages will become clear. Carrying at least 3 Bandages is encouraged, although needs may vary depending on dungeon size.
    5. Purified Water : Cures all Mesmerize/Debuff states, except for Bleeding and Stun.
Mesmerize and Debuff states cannot kill the Corps Crew. However, when they severely interrupt the flow or progression of a battle, Purified Water should be used without hestitation. Carrying at least 1 Purified Water is recommended, although this may vary based on dungeon size.
  • Consumables carried in the Bag that remain unused upon exiting will be contaminated by the Mist. They then become "polluted" items.
  • Polluted items have a chance of causing side effects. While not fatal, the effects can temporarily disrupt an expedition, so use these items wisely.

Demo Updates Known Issues

Greetings, Captains!

Yesterday, we released an updated MISTOVER Demo, giving you a chance to experience what our game has to offer.

We have been keeping an eye on the forums and appreciate all your feedback. Today, we wanted to share a few updates related to the demos and upcoming official release!

1. Fast Forward Mode for Battles

After taking into consideration the feedback we received about the Time Trial Demo, we decided to make specific improvements for the Full Demo.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

We realized that the timer may have unintentionally made gameplay more difficult, for example. But knowing the Full Demo wouldn't have a timer, we were more concerned about players wanting to fast forward through battle animations.

We added a feature so you can speed through by holding the A button!
* For Nintendo Switch, however, updates will be released as a patch on October 1st. We're sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

2. Feedback Review

Since making the MISTOVER Demo available, we've been tracking your comments and feedback. We will be looking into the bugs, localization issues, and other suggestions that are being made. Your feedback is important, so don't forget to let us know what you think!
