New Version Update 0.5.2


Hello everyone

This version will be the last version that will use UE4. The next main patch will be 0.6.0 which will be changed to UE5. (There are still bug fixes/ hotfixes in 0.5.x) All new content that hasn't been added yet, will be added in this version.

For the WIP, and progress update. I will post it in a few weeks.

Bug fixes
  • Car rolls away when player jumping or climbing
  • Random items floating in the air (Farm with seeker nest)
  • Puzzle door not save
  • The dog leans,spins or has an error rotation when the vehicle rolls over.
  • The elevator in the mine cannot transport object, lockers
  • Destroy the fish pond and the fish are still swimming.
  • Interior props does not load when saving inside a house or building.
  • Wooden spike status not saved
  • Carcass not saved
  • Some Outhouse door cant open
  • Cant climb some ladder (Bandit tree base)
  • Arrows UI overlaps with Player status UI (weight, heat, etc.)
  • Can't use a knife, Machete etc... to destroy and harvest resources from bushes


Optimization

Optimize shader can reduce stuttering when load and unload level, But there are still more than a thousand items that I need to fix. I will continue to fix more in the next patch.

  • Optimized some shaders.
  • Project file size reduced from 25gb to 20gb


New Feature
  • Survivors Camp
    For now, there will be only trading features. And you can also enter this area without having to complete a quest.
  • New Gun added : Semi auto shotgun (Can only be traded from survivor camp)

  • Add River (Still unable to fish in the river)





Progress Update

Hello everyone

For the first priority is still bug fixes, performance fixes and reduce stuttering while streaming levels. This patch should be ready within the next month.

These are some tasks I am working on. (Work in progress)

Bug Fix

  • Shift + Click Dupplicate item
  • Wooden Wall B Collision (Ivisible collision)
  • Get hurt, die while driving or getting out of the car
  • Meat not cook If charcoal slots are full.
  • Chairs Collision blocked, can't pickup item (in town)
  • Recycle bin drop electronic parts when destroyed.

  • Water tower doesn't save the amount of water
  • The bucket disappeared when climbing the ladders.
  • Plants floated and didn't follow the table when moving.

* Because I started fixing and rafactoring NPC, So survivor camp will be added before the housing estate.
* I marked that camp location in the picture below, please dont build your base there.

The 'Old West Town' zone still needs more improvements, especially When going up to the museum area. I will update as soon as possible.

  • fix some landscape materials function and remove some unused func

Bug fix
  • Pickup truck can't transport security locker or some movable storage
  • Prevent pickup truck from storage, or objects in the back collision
  • While the character is in the air, jumps, or climbs and enters the car, the game freezes.
  • While climbing and the player try to gets into the car will cause the player to fall through the ground.
  • Shift + click adding items to a full container bug (lost all remaining items)
  • Shift + click to loot from infected not work
  • Weight warning message not showing ("too much weight can't climb")
  • Time advanced, sleep time, work time not working correctly
  • 256 scope bug when aim
  • Can craft fish pond without materials
  • Took some safe water from the barrel into a bottle, got unsafe.

  • * You may find cpu usage about 70-80% in the first 1-2 minutes after starting the game. After that it will start to decrease, I will update performance fix #3 asap.

    I did optimize some part of the farms. and the shops on the hill. The remaining zones will follow soon.

  • Plants reset to beginning stage after loading the game.
  • Can't press or use items (Items that fall when the player dies.)
  • Bottle crates not save
  • Molotov Bug, Sometimes just went through the ground or objects.
  • Crates and other storage items fall through the floor of houses when a game was loaded.
  • Feeding the dog caused screen tilt
  • When the gas mask is taken off. Filter amount will automatically decrease.
  • Left hand item dupplicate after game loaded (Shield, torch)
  • Item damage by wetness, rain even in crate or storage.


  • Temporarily disable crate, storage and items physic. (Prevents overlapping with the car. Proper fixes will follow soon.)

  • Reduce resources to build fences, barricade and constructions using wood
  • Increase bariccade HP (Spike barricade, wooden wall, etc.)
  • Add barricade HP indicator
