A cold wind is rising!

Hello Champions!
We’re happy to officially announce Northwind, our next free update, landing soon on Steam and GOG.
Northwind brings another major round of balance updates, continuing the work that began with the melee combat iteration shortly after release. This update marks the final phase of that balancing effort, a last polish pass on core combat systems before we turn our attention to magic and endgame tuning, following community feedback. Think of it as the cold, steady wind that sharpens steel before the next storm. When Northwind launches, we’ll also reveal the first concrete details of the upcoming DLC, including its official name and release window. Yes, it finally has a name!
It’s also been a big few months behind the scenes here. After long discussions and careful planning with a major player, we've entered a new phase. The team has grown from 6 stubborn, battle-hardened developers to over 20 people working full time on our projects.
That means more resources, new projects taking shape, long-term goals becoming clearer and bolder. But let’s be very clear: Alaloth remains a top priority. We’ll keep updating, iterating, and refining it until it fully becomes the game we always imagined, even if today it already stands in its best shape ever.
After months of reflection, we’ve also updated the game’s store description. The famous line “Baldur’s Gate and Dark Souls had a child” came straight from community feedback and served us well, but over time, it also risked being a little misleading. So we refined the message.
Alaloth remains what it has always been: the first and only original isometric soulslike, forged by hand, tested by fire, and shaped by your feedback.
