Version 1.4 arrives with new content and combat refinements!
Hello Champions!
The Northwind Update is now live, bringing Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms to version 1.4 with a new round of improvements, content, and balancing. With this update we are closing the melee combat rework that started with the Balefire update. Based on community feedback, we’ve continued refining the system and updated swords and warhammers, bringing them in line with the overall combat balance. At the same time, we are currently focusing on magic optimization. Spell systems and numbers will continue to be refined in the near future, again guided by your feedback.
[h3]NEW CONTENTS[/h3]
As with every previous update, we’ve worked not only on numbers and systems, but also on new content. Northwind introduces a new quest line, a map expansion with a new FA: Skarhjem and a new boss fight. This new story builds upon the existing lore of Kariasha, telling the tale of two legendary warriors connected to the necromancer. Without going into spoilers, to unlock the quest you will need to:
- Defeat Kariasha
- Reach a certain level of fame in Karak-Hohn

Northwind also brings a wide range of general improvements and tweaks across the game, including performance optimizations, minor system adjustments, bug fixes, and a pass on many gameplay values to keep everything consistent with the latest combat changes. We also revisited all supported languages, both official and community-driven, polishing and improving localization across the board. With the combat rework now complete and systems steadily refined through months of updates and feedback, Alaloth is currently in its best shape yet!
[h3]WHAT'S NEXT[/h3]
We also have one more piece of news to share. Within the next few weeks we will finally unveil the upcoming DLC for Alaloth, which many of you may remember we already confirmed in our previous update. To be completely honest, the reveal was originally planned for today, but an exciting opportunity came up, and we decided it was the perfect stage to present it properly. Because of that, we’ve moved the full announcement and all the details to that event. Trust us when we say we’re really looking forward to showing you what we’ve been working on. The wait won’t be long.
