Meet the team at PAX East - Boston

Hi Fox Riders,

David the designer of the game and I, will showcase an updated demo of Nanotale during PAX East from Feb 27 to Mar 1, 2020 in Boston. So, don't hesitate to tell us if you're going too. Our booth #32022 is located down the escalators, take the second alley on your right, and it's right at the end of it.

Also, whenever you are going or not, if you have nice recommendations about where to eat in Boston, I'll take them.

Cheers,
-VirginRedemption

PS: Our friends from Flip It Studio will be on our booth to entertain you with their game in development: a one button racing game starring HAMSTERS!

Weekly Update #50: Decoration of the Sunken Caves

Hi Fox Riders,

So, last week we created a kind of "museum" scene. It's a place where we put all the elements of deco and lore that we'll need in the area.

At first it looked like this.

Then we created a 3D animated version of the Jellyfish you'll find in some area of the caves.

And added them to the museum scene.

Here's a new concept art of the cave, a little bit different from the other zones.

If you are living in Belgium, we'll be at 1UP conference in two weeks. We'll also be later at PAX East.

Thank you for reading.

Have a nice week.

Update #8: Bug fixed including some from Chinese version

Hi Fox Riders,

Today, we released an update of Nanotale with fixes of bugs that you reported, including some that appear in the Chinese version.

Here's today's patch changelog:
  • Language fixes (missing characters and words that start with a spellword)
  • Enemy ui visible in end cinematic and when player is under the tree
  • Fire fx fixed
  • Fix sheep lore in the middle of a dialog that causes the camera to be stuck
  • Fixed issue where the teleporters on the tree wouldn't be useable after game reload

Thank you very much for your help. Don't hesitate to continue to report bugs. It really helps to patch the game and provide the best experience we can.

Cheers,
VirginRedemption

Weekly Update #49: Polishing the available content

Hi Fox Riders,

I hope that you are doing great!

Last week, the art team wanted to polish a bit what we already had in the Ancestral Forest to give our level designers more time alone in the Sunken Caves.

We also worked on some bugs that you reported on the forum. The update should come during the coming days.

We added an animation for the teleport spell. Maybe this needs to be speed up a little bit.

We tweak a bit the pop up from when you discover the lore.

We also reworked a bit on the waterfall.

And here's a little teaser showing you the level design map of the Sunken Caves.

Weekly Update #48: Lore and Decor from the Sunken Caves

Hi Fox Riders,

We are back from PAX South! Everything went really fine. We were so happy to meet some of you and to connect with new people.

While Fabrice and I were enjoying the sun of San Antonio (in fact we didn't because according to people, it was the coldest week they had this winter), the rest of the team continues to work on the Sunken Caves.

Below, some concepts of elements that you will find in the Sunken Caves. We want that biome to have a completely different mood from the Ancestral Forest. What do you think?

Other concepts showing you the mood of the Sunken Caves. What do you think? The people from the Sunken Caves only feed on the Mushrooms they farm.

That's it for last week. Thank you for reading.
