  • Fixed the issue where hashtags are not properly tweeted when tweeting media from Room.
  • Fixed the issue where a particular room name resulted in an error when tweeting media from Room.
  • Fixed an issue where some characters are truncated in the ring-menu when tweeting from Room.
  • Fixed the issue where images are not saved in the file format specified in the settings when using photo capture in Room.
  • Fixed the issue where photos taken in Room were not saved in the SteamLibrary.

  • Improved the download speed of THE SEED ONLINE items by compressing data.
  • The link objects will be disabled when the destination room is not accessible.
  • Number of people in the destination room will be displayed when you touch a link object in the Room.
  • "Owner" and "Administrator" can now enter a room even when the room is full.

[h3]Bug fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed the issue where the ownership of SubItems didn't change properly.
  • Fixed the issue where SubItems without RigidBody caused errors when loading.
  • Room/Studio: Fixed the issue where when an attachable VCI is attached, another user who entered the room later grabbing the VCI resulted in the position of the VCI being out of sync.

[h2]New features[/h2]
  • Added HUD feature on the Room
    • You can see your mic volume and current facial expression on the HUD when this feature is enabled
    • For details, see [HUD Display].


  • You can now purchase VRMs from the character context menu in the Room.
    • Point the hand laser toward a character to open the character context menu. You can purchase the VRM from the context menu.
    • Note, if the VRM's license limits the use of the avatar to "the author only," you can not purchase it in VR.
    • A VRM can be purchased if it is merchandised in The Seed Online.
  • Added block feature in the Room
    • You can add a user to the block list from the Room page on the Web, the Participants list in the ring menu or the context menu opened by selecting a character.
  • Added purchase history in the ring menu
    • You can select items and characters purchased from within VR.

[h2]Improvements[/h2]
  • The ReflectionProbe is now enabled in the Room
    • This allows for rendering of accurate reflection on metallic materials in the Room
  • You can now enable snapping of item rotation in the Room
    • Snap toggle button is added in the context menu
    • When the snap is enabled, the item will turn by 15 degrees while being grabbed
  • Added a feature to load compressed textures when loading characters in the Room
    • In the settings page, select [Graphics] > [Reduce memory usage for character rendering] to enable this feature
    • This feature will compress the textures on character models to reduce memory consumption.
    • Enabling this will reduce the memory usage, but it will lower the texture quality.
  • You can now add a room to favorites from the context menu of a link object.

[h2]Changes[/h2]
  • You can now use VRMs "Authorized only to explicitly specified person" purchased in THE SEED ONLINE.
    • Provided that the VRM is purchased on THE SEED ONLINE, you can use it as your avatar even when the VRM's license is set to "Authorized only to explicitly specified person."
  • Fixed the error message that indicates the modification of lifespan is prohibited by the set privilege.
    • When changing the lifespan of a VCI, you will be shown an error message if you do not have the privilege to execute that operation. The message has been reworded so that you can understand it more easily.

  • Fixed the issue where you couldn't change the multi-line while buttons are being loaded in the ring menu.
  • Fixed the issue where the neutral facial expression wasn't applied correctly when a VRM is spawned in the Room.

  • Added SetActive in VciTransform
    • SetActive, ActiveSelf and ActiveInHierarchy is added in VCITransform.
  • Added VCAST_materials_pbr extension
    • Now, the Intensity value of HDR is applied on the EmissionColor of standard material.

  • Fixed the issue where participant leave notification was not working.

  • Increased the initial number of your rooms from one to three.
    • This will allow you to publish multiple rooms
  • Added following sections in the list of public rooms in the ring menu of the Room
    • List of rooms by published date: New
    • List of rooms in random order: Random
    • List of rooms by the time since the last person visited: Active
    • Rooms curated by the dev team: Recommended
    • List of rooms by popularity: Popular

  • Changed the description of item lifespan settings changeable from the context menu in the Room.
    • You can now choose the new item lifespan setting "Disappear with Last Person." The item will disappear when the number of visitors in the room becomes zero.
  • Shortened the load time of GIF thumbnail on link objects in the Room.
  • Added the attract feature in the Room.
    • Point the hand laser at an item you want to attract toward you and press the trigger to pull it right in front of you.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where post-processing was being disabled while in WASD locomotion mode in the direct-view mode.
  • Fixed the memory leakage issue on the title screen.
  • Fixed the issue where the loading animation kept running even when there are no images or movies available to be tweeted in the "Tweet" menu in the Studio.
  • Fixed the issue where animations included in Glb files were not being played in the Room.

※The method to connect with THE SEED ONLINE account has been changed

The connection method has been changed to fortify security. From now on, you have to copy and paste the code.

Click on the [CONNECT] button at the upper right corner of the title screen to open the authentification code input dialog and the connection web page of THE SEED ONLINE.



Copy the code displayed on THE SEED ONLINE connection page, paste the code on the input field in VirtualCast and click [Next] to complete the steps.


[h2]New features[/h2]
  • You can now use the eye-tracking feature in Rooms using VIVE Pro Eye.
  • You can now specify the type of the controllers you are using in the settings screen.
    • The default is auto-detect

[h2]Improvements[/h2]
  • The grab control for the Index controller has been tweaked to be more comfortable.
  • Optimized the ring menu to reduce the frame drop while manipulating it.
  • You can now use GLB items and locations in the Room.
  • Removed the diagonal and lateral movent from the `Studio` control type in the Room.
  • When selecting a room on the ring menu, you can now see why you cannot enter a certain room (the room is full, you have no access right, etc.) before actually entering it.
  • You will be notified when you couldn't enter the room because the room is full.

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where grabbing a VCI item with gravity settings while the item is being attracted resulted in the item to be blown away.
  • Fixed the issue where some data was left undeleted when the [Reset and Quit] option is used to quit the app in the Room.
  • Fixed the issue where the direction of the hand-laser in the Room was different from that of the Studio.
  • Fixed the issue where you were sent to an offline studio when you returned to `My Studio` from a room.
  • Fixed the issue where your facial expression sometimes didn't reach the 100% state when you tried to change your facial expression in the Room.
  • Fixed the issue where you couldn't load VCIs when you were running Windows in certain languages.
  • Fixed the issue where you sometimes couldn't load VCI locations in the official studios.

  • vci.assets.GetInstanceId() has been added with which you can acquire the unique ID of a VCI instance.
  • You can now send and receive tables with VCI messages.
  • vci.message.EmitWithId() has been added to allow you to specify the destination of the message.
  • Adjusted the repulsion behavior of VCIs which has its IsKinematic value set to true
  • You can now distinguish `Oculus Quest 2` with vci.me.GetHeadMountedDisplayName()
